About 10 minutes on foot from Takatsubashi bus stop (free shuttle service to Hongu-cho to Hongu Taisha Shrine). "Sei" is located in a quiet village overlooking the Kumano River. You can spend time with your family and friends without worrying about other people. An inn in nature where you can see the starry sky at night and wake up to the sound of birds in the morning. There are hot springs nearby [Yunomine, Kawayu, Watarase (free shuttle service)]. We offer light meals, drinks, etc. Breakfast includes bread, eggs, etc. You can also order various bento boxes (for a fee). You can bring in your own food. BBQ tools are also available for rent for a fee. Please let us know when you book. Feel free to use the kitchen. Feel free to use the microwave, kettle, toaster, fridge, rice cooker, etc. Feel free to use the basic condiments as well. Washing machine installed. There is also a shoe dryer. We are a small farmer who grows rice, vegetables, herbs and flowers. During your stay, we provide rice and vegetables that we grow, as well as fresh eggs from Kumano. The kitchen is also fully equipped with seasonings and cooking utensils. We hope you will enjoy cooking with everyone. My guidebook has information about the surrounding area. Our house is called Kamikura-Hideaway. It is a small 50-year-old house located at the foot of Kamikura Shrine. Contemporary artist Fulbrn revived it as the art piece "Narrative Space." Since this house once served as a geologist's hideaway, bits of history are scattered throughout the building. Our uniqueness has even been featured in the travel media AFAR, reflecting our commitment to a memorable guest experience. We hope you will enjoy touching someone's story "floating" around the room.

Experience a stay in a traditional Japanese house, tucked inside the forested mountains of the Yoshino Valley. This converted farmhouse is located in Kawakami Village, the source of the Yoshino/Kino river. Nostalgic Beach House A private guesthouse in Nigishima, Kumano City, facing the calm Nigishima Bay. To reach it, climb about 50 steps (5 min) for a rewarding view. *Note: not suitable for those with limited mobility. There is no TV or clock—disconnect and relax. *Extra fee applies for 2+ guests. For safety, a motion-sensor camera is at the entrance; it only takes still photos when someone passes, never continuous video, ensuring privacy.

"Genki House", a house near Kumano Hongu-Taisha

It’s a house 8km from the Hongu Taisha. (about 15 minutes' drive) If you have a car it's more convenient, but if not I'll be happy to drive you to and from a bus stop or a tourism spot in Hongu area. My family run an organic farm, bakery, NPO offering long-stay for the youth, and an alternative school for children nearby. You'll have some loaves of bread from our bakery(^^)/ （If you don't eat bread please let me know beforehand)

Mikiura Guesthouse

Reservation start from 2 person / 2 nights minimum. We accept only one group at a time so you will have exclusive use of the entire property. Guesthouse is a typical old Japanese house, not like a resort Hotel or Ryokan for business. We have no meal service. Mikiura village is surrounded by the clear blue sea and natural green mountains. You'll enjoy real Japan such as rural life experience, quiet time and beautiful nature.
