It is a fantastic place with very warm people. Devika Aunty is an amazing woman who has created a magical corner surrounded by hills. Her charming cottage is decorated with peach plants, blooming hydrengeas and hemmed by lovely pink climbing rose vines. Her staff is caring and take great effort to make the guests feel comfortable. Every meal we had here is a memory to cherish - from bengali luchis to pahadi rajma and ragi roti. It is a place to relax and reflect, a slice of good life that we all chase put together affectionately by the incredible Devika Aunty.

The property manager Sandeep Rawat was very helpful, he will go lengths to make you stay as comfortable as possible. Whatever you need just ask him…. Thank you Sandeep Ji… See you soon…..

We had a wonderful time staying at Mohan's place, it was much better than expected, the view up there is amazing, especially just for sitting there, having a meal and enjoying the sun. Mohan is such a great host and helped us in all possible ways. They have a great little restaurant offering all kinds of different food, both Indian and western style, and all of what we've tasted was amazing. I would definitely recommend this beautiful place to everyone who is considering visiting the area and would even wish to come back one day myself. Thank you Mohan!

Ideallic heaven is really a paradise . Starting from the trek downhill where you get spectacular view of the mountains and the clouds passing , next comes the welcome drink which was relishing and gave the beginning taste of their super 5star hospitality . The way Pawan bhaiya received us with a bright smile made us felt like home and the little cute kids there were the best company we had , not to forget a fur ball doggy Ghumroo who was very friendly. The food served was very delicious and on time. Pawan bhaiya was very helpful and took utmost care of our food needs. The walk around the village and the the people there felt like home . Didn't feel like leaving that place . But would definitely make a trip there soon with a longer stay . 😇

Great stay at Mohan’s BInsar Retreat. The place offers great view for relaxing and unwinding and the description is quite accurate. The staff is extremely warm, the playlist and book collection is amazing. The food deserves a special mention for being scrumptious. Finger licking Indian food and delicious breakfast. Whole heartedly recommended. Would love to go again.

Ahoy, future travellers this place became my home away from home for two days. The hosts are very warm and helpful. The place is good for three to four travellers. The place is situated away from hustle bustle of city on a ridge of a picturesque ridge of Almora. The hosts were really helpful in arranging local sight seeing tour.

We really had a wonderful time with entire family. Entire family was very warm and welcoming. The kids specially, made my wife's birthday. They were with her the entire day and also got bouquets and hand made cards and also baked a cake for her. My wife and I will never forget the hospitality and warmth and the experience that we had the Ghariya House. We would definitely recommend given the view and the warmth that family adds. We are also planning to visit this amazing family again.

Very warm host and the caretakers. The cottage is in a peaceful and secluded spot. It takes 30-40 mins of trek to reach the cottage from the closest road. Beautiful place. worth staying here for surreal experience.

They should advertise the animals that live on the property! We met dabboo and Rocky and the cats Kuku and Sintu and it was a delight (They are completely non interfering unless you're interested in hanging with them and we were). We were fed very tasty food made by Maya and the room has an excellent view. It is a great spot for the lazy and active alike. We saw many many birds just staring out of the window and the snow capped peaks were visible too!

Firstly, Dhruv and Deepa, thank you for sharing your place with me. Secondly, a big thank you to the caretakers who had maintained the place absolutely spotless. The food was great and the view from the sitout was to die for. The room was big, clean and so was the linen. The living room and dinning area was very cozy. Hope to visit again someday.

My mum and I stayed at Rohan’s place for 2 nights, throughout the stay we were extremely comfortable and well taken care of. The garden and plants in the house, the bird bath, the way the sunlight falls on the gardens, the decor kept our sensibilities amused and calm. Rohan was extremely helpful with local recommendations, daily itineraries and even daily conversations. The house is beautiful and it’s inhabitants even better, Can’t wait to be back here :) (It was my mum’s first time in a BnB over a hotel and she has been converted)

We had a wonderful stay at Karan's place. It is away from the usual tourist hubs within a short driving distance to Sattal and Bhimtal and has a great view of the valley from the terrace and balcony, which are open to guests. The caretaker, Mr Saraj was very polite and attentive to all our requests and Karan kindly provided an early check in. The room was clean and comfortable.

Had a lovely stay at The Foliage over the long weekend. The location in Sunkiya village is peaceful and surrounded by beautiful hills—perfect for a quiet getaway. The rooms were clean, cozy, and well-equipped. What made it truly special was the warmth and hospitality. The host was incredibly kind, always checking in to ensure we were comfortable. She even arranged a bonfire, which brought all the guests together—felt like hanging out with old friends by the end. Gopal, the cook and caretaker, was equally sweet and made delicious meals throughout. It felt less like a stay and more like being welcomed into someone’s home. Highly recommended—and I’d definitely love to visit again.

That was an awesome weekend getaway. . nestled at the edge of the jungle, the location is perfect for nature enthusiasts and those seeking some tranquillity. The brief drive through the jungle to reach the cottage is an adventure in itself; the transition from the farms to suddenly being enveloped by the forest, which then opens up into this serene stay is something that'll stay with you. The hosts are incredibly knowledgeable about the local birds, the wildlife and plants; we were captivated by their stories of Corbett. Poonam, the caretaker deserves a special mention for the yum meals and chai which made the stay that much more comfortable. The cottage's proximity to the national park is a huge plus, the right kinda distance from the touristy hullbaloo nearer the park entrance. The host's deep ties with the reserve provided us with invaluable suggestions and made the visit seamless and memorable. We'll be looking forward to our next visit here!
