For an additional fee (and subject to availability), you can access the spa, sauna, and cold plunge pool. A lunchbox breakfast is included. Perfect for workers or tourists. We have 2 dogs and a cat (they do not have access to the loft). The loft is independent, yet attached to the house, and we ask visitors to maintain an appropriate noise level during their stay.

You can relax by the water on the deck in the hot tub, take an adventure in one of the kayak’s or enjoy a campfire while watching the stars with the supplied firewood. A canoe and two kayaks with 4 lifejackets are available for guests and are included with your rental. Unfortunatly our place is not dog friendly.

Wakefield waterfront on the Gatineau river. Great views of and only a few steps from the iconic covered bridge and a short walk to restaurants, pubs and cafes. Two fireplaces, two decks, and plenty of parking. This is a brand new home that we are sure you will enjoy. Respectful, courteous guests only. The magnificent views from the home and the two large decks come with some effort and this vacation paradise is not recommended for those with mobility issues.

Yves’ place is perfect for groups with lots of beds and ample space for everyone. The property is lovely and secluded yet close enough to both Gatineau and Wakefield. Yves was extremely responsive to the one minor issue we had and addressed it immediately - the sign of a great host. We enjoyed our stay immensely and will return if the opportunity presents itself. Would recommend.

Our stay at Val-des-Monts was Outstanding. We have travelled the world staying in over 100 accommodations - Marcelle and Michels place would be in our top 5. The house is stunning, beautifully furnished with high quality fixtures and attention to detail. It was a wonderfully relaxing 4 days and we were able to fully appreciate this beautiful part of Canada. Every aspect of the House was first class and it has a lovely ambience. M&M were responsive and helpful to any minor questions we had. An added bonus was the Sauna which was a new experience for us but one we really appreciated. Only negative was we wished we had booked to stay longer! We will certainly look to return in the near future

We had an amazing time staying at The Nest, it was such a unique experience and was everything we hoped for. Aaron was a fantastic host. He answered all of our questions before we arrived, and while we were there, within minutes of us asking. Waking up to the spectacular view of the lake, having morning coffee by the water and being surrounded by the sounds of nature were the highlights for us. We stayed mid-June and would recommend being prepared for the bugs (bring bug spray and Citronella candles for outside the door while bbqing). Also be prepared for it to get hot inside the dome during the day and perhaps plan to be on/in the water or out for a drive/exploring. It's recommended to boil the water before drinking (although it is still safe to drink unboiled). We brought a water filter with us as a preference. Overall it was the perfect place for us to relax, disconnect from work and unwind. I would highly recommend this spot and Aaron as your host.
