Property at birdwood cottages provide you just that, situated away from the hustle bustle of the city and also the crowded Mall road of Dalhousie, this place submits you to just relax. Great location, beautiful interiors, great caretakers who make great home made food of your choice. touristy spots are not too far away, ample car parking place, good wifi. The best part of the stay has to be the 2-3 km flat trail circuit in the woods to rejuvenate your mornings. i think late September to early December is the best time to enjoy the flora & fauna of this place before the snow engulfs the area.

As a foreigner i can recommend this place. It was clean and proper. Good value. 5 min walk to leh center. The workers at the homestay were helpful. Great view, hot water, confy bed. All that one can ask for. We staid here to start and finish our laddak trip.

I traveled to Leh with my family, and it was truly an amazing experience. I’ve been to Leh many times before, but this was by far the best stay we’ve had. The house was very well managed, with a fully equipped kitchen and a helpful caretaker. It truly felt like a home away from home. All the main spots, especially the airport, are conveniently nearby. The view from the property is simply majestic. Watching planes land and take off right from the room was an unforgettable experience. Thank you, Tundup, for providing us with such a wonderful stay!

The place is located at the heart of Banikhet approximately 30 mins from Dalhousie. The place is very nice and beautiful but the room size is a bit small. They have an open terrace and a big one as well. You can enjoy the amazing views from their terrace. The restaurant serves some delicious food. One of the best that I have had in Himachal Pradesh. Please try their margarita pizza. Hospitality was great too.

The location was perfect, offering stunning views and a peaceful environment, which was just what I needed before and after the race. The host was exceptional – very welcoming, responsive, and went above and beyond to make sure my stay was comfortable. They provided valuable local tips and even helped arrange transportation for the marathon, which made things so much easier for me. The room was cozy, clean, and well-maintained with all the necessary amenities. I felt right at home and appreciated the small thoughtful touches the host included. If you're visiting Ladakh, especially for the marathon or trekking, I highly recommend this place. I'll definitely stay here again when I return!

My stay at Solpon's boutique stay in Leh together with two friends of mine was an absolute blessing. From Dolma's radiating calm, the delicious local food available for breakfast and dinner, the view of the mountains from the coy bed, and, far from finally, the organizing of a driver at short notice to take us around Ladakh, this place was a lifesaver to stumble upon for my first visit to Leh. I highly recommend having a chat with Dolma, drinking some butter tea, and then sitting on the balcony with a few extra layers on to watch the sunset. It'll get you right back on track!

A perfect homestay in Leh! Tsering and her family were super friendly and welcoming hosts. The meals were prepared with fresh vegetables from the garden and were delicious! We had best momos, chutagi in entire Ladakh. Nono, their cute little kitten made our stay more wholesome!! We would not hesitate to visit homestay again.
