Simple, rustic, cozy get away

It was a perfect price. With the ABNB it was double+. I would rather pay John more for the one night personally, than what I did. And have done twice. I have always left the place the same or better than I found it. I understand the cleaning fee, but kills single fathers like me for a 1 night trip. That being said. Walker cabin is great! Kayaks, all safety gear, fully outfitted down to toothpicks, brushes, floss, ect. You think you forgot it. It’s there. Baby monitors!

Home is very beautiful. Jim and Susan were very responsive when needed we felt right at home everything was right at our fingertips when needed. We came for a weekend girls getaway and this home helped us achieve that peace we needed. Very spacious we will be back again.

Truly a magical spot. We’ve stayed at many unique Airbnbs, and this one is up there as a favorite. It’s so peaceful and beautiful; the walk down makes it feel like you are truly remote and alone. The screened porch is perfect for listing to the stream at all points of the day. The cabin itself is furnished in a quirky and cozy way, and the beds are very comfortable. The full kitchen had everything needed. The host was super friendly and responsive. We would absolutely would recommend to others!

This house was great for a winter weekend getaway! Great Barrington, Lenox, and Stockbridge are all adorable towns to visit and are a 15 - 30m drive away. The house itself was cozy and had all the amenities we needed. Shay was very responsive. Something to know about the area is that ride shares and cabs are hard to come by, so having a car that fit everyone we were traveling with was crucial for our group to get around town.

The small home is located at the end of a 0.25 mile dirt road. There are only four homes on the road, though one is on the opposite side at the end of the road. If you are staying here you should be comfortable in an isolated location. There are no window treatments on the two sliding doors opening to the deck in the back of the home, though there is also nothing but woods in the back of the home. All that being said, the place was exceptionally clean for any Airbnb rental, much less one tucked back in the woods. While the small kitchen was missing a few expected items like steak knives, tea bags, and measuring cups, it should prove to be functional for most guests. There is a large TV in the large living room and the internet was fine for streaming without any issues. The bed was comfortable and a large dresser is available for storing clothes. Be aware that the only available heat is from a gas fireplace, two portable space heaters, and another space heater in the bathroom.

We had such a great time staying at Bob’s cabin! The location and view are seriously stunning, especially since we got to catch the fall foliage at its peak. I spent hours just hanging out on the screened-in porch, taking it all in. We always travel with our dogs, so it was awesome to find a place that’s dog-friendly. The cabin was super clean, cozy, and had a nice stash of board games—we ended up playing Scrabble every night! The drive up was beautiful, but make sure to follow Bob’s directions because Google Maps told us to make a wrong left in the neighborhood, which was a bit tricky since we arrived after dark. Bob was super responsive and gave us some great local tips. All in all, we loved it and will definitely be booking again!
