Lovely place , beautiful views , we were 6 people and it was spacious enough, it was a great place to spare a few nights 👌🏻

We had a great stay at this Airbnb in San Juan del Sur. The location could not be better—just one block from the beach and within walking distance to the best restaurants, the malecón, and a small marina area. It is in a mixed neighborhood, but that is something quite typical for Nicaragua and adds to the local charm. If you come with realistic expectations, this place is truly a great option. The apartment had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, including air conditioning, which was a huge plus, and a small kitchenette for simple meals. One of the best parts was the convenience of having a small pulpería (local store) right next door. The lady who runs it also handles the keys and was incredibly helpful at any time, day or night. It felt like staying in a real community. Victoria was super friendly and always available to answer questions. Her presence next door made things even easier, and we could get anything we needed directly from her store. We definitely plan to return!

We loved our stay here - amazing location right by the beach. The store was 30 seconds away which made cooking so easy. Fell asleep to the sound of the waves. Thanks so much for a great stay!

The property is very well equipped and in good condition. The space is large and very well distributed. The rooms were spotless upon arrival and the kitchen has everything you could need. In its entirety, it makes you feel safe and comfortable. It has a good-sized parking lot. And not to mention the beautiful view and proximity to the sea! It has spaces to relax and enjoy a lot. The host and his staff made our stay experience very good. From day 1, when I inquired about details, even before booking, I received friendly and warm attention. Pavel is very attentive. He gave us information about nearby restaurants and shops. We will recommend this place to our friends and family.

Enjoyed my stay. Super friendly and helpful staff. Easy to get around. Peaceful lounge areas and always clean. The perfect place for a surf trip in Popoyo. I felt right at home immediately.

We’ve stayed at many houses in Hacienda Iguana and this house was by far our favorite. It’s got an amazing layout and gorgeous furniture + comfortable beds. But I’ll always remember the spectacular wrap around screened in porches on both levels. We stayed with our 4 month old and it was so beautiful to give him his midnight bottle in an Adirondack rocking chair on the screened in patio off the main bedroom…precious ‘new mom moments’ under the moon, stars, with the sound of the ocean (you can hear the waves at Panga Drops surf break). The property is located directly across the dirt road from the most secluded part of the beach. We had gorgeous evening walks at low tide sunset and came home to cook dinners in the well appointed kitchen. We had coffee by the crystal clear pool in the mornings and really enjoyed being walkable to Rancho Santanas Taqueria + the cute restaurants in Iguana. Bonus: we decided to elope! My friends and I had a great time at the house it had everything we needed and the Property Caretaker Don Pedro was very helpful and pleasant. I would highly recommend Violetas house to stay in San Juan del Sur.

The house is amazing, you have access to the beach right in front of you, only recommendation for anybody is to bring your own food from a local supermarket as there is an hour drive off road(4x4 recommended) after reaching san juan, the place is very private, you have the beach for yourself, the house is very clean, enough rooms, and spacious. Local housekeeper was very useful as he can go buy you items at extra cost while you enjoy your time, final score 10/10.

The host Mary Jane was absolutely amazing. The Airbnb was beautiful, the photos did not do it justice. The house was roomy and the decor was very nice. It was in a closed off gate and private with a guard on duty every night. Mary sent so many awesome recommendations for us to go and eat. She even arranged taxis for us and was super responsive. She was very nice with my family and personable, she remembered every little details about them and accommodated my grandmother. I will definitely be back and I couldn’t recommend her enough! 10/10 experience

Beautiful place and at walkable distance to the beach. It was pretty close to different attractions nearby. Jose, the caretaker was very friendly and helpful. Definitely worth the price and we will definitely stay again when visiting Nicaragua.

We had a great stay at la Bahia! Spacious home with nice pool only a few steps from the beach and town of San Juan del Sur. Special mentions to Veronica and Feliciano for always being available for our questions and needs. Be careful with the electricity usage. We had to pay a fee for exceeding the electricity allowance. We would come back anytime!

Amedeo was very responsive to our questions and requests. The place is very clean and the kitchen had the necessary pots, pans, and utensils, for cooking. Bed was comfortable as well. Walk on the beach to town is about 10-15 minutes. This is on the third floor which allowed a breeze in the early morning and evening when the glass doors were open. There is a parking space for each apartment.

Casa horizon is THE best Airbnb I have ever stayed at. Amazing people surrounding the house and community with a perfect beach and a beautiful wooden house. The balcony is amazing and the rooms are perfect to accommodate

Excellent stay. Premises and surroundings are exactly as described. Apartment is well furnished with the comforts of home and the property manager (office two minutes away) responds immediately. I've paid twice as much for a fraction of the amenities. They even provide beach towels! Exceptional value for the money and perfect for long stays. The host provides an awesome detailed info package about the apartment, town and activities. Uber safe building with a system of locking doors and gates. I was able to keep A/C costs low by opening up the windows and doors every morning to take advantage of the constant breezes. Location is perfect. Everything is within walking distance, including hiking trails and access to all points north, south and east. Food is inexpensive with an abundance of street food vendors. The town has something for everyone and at this time of year is busy as Easter is next week. SJDS undergoes a total transformation that is interesting to see.

Martin is a superb host. Very responsive, nice, and accommodating of any need - such a nice person that makes you feel like your stay is the most important thing. The place is amazing. It's small and cozy, with good airflow and AC at hot times. There is a great garden with a big tree for shade, comfortable beach chairs, a hammock, and a shower. The water is 20 meters from the door, and it's a short 15-minute walk to Bigginers Bay and Santana and 2-5 minutes from several restaurants and a grocery shop. We came by car with a toddler and enjoyed the time. It is great for surfers who want to surf the area, beginners who want to learn in the beginners' bay, and people who want to stay in front of the water in a relaxing place.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The location is great and there is lots to do, including a beautiful beach that is walking distance. There's a few nice restaurants with fresh seafood and as a solo female traveller I felt completely safe. Timothy was really friendly and helpful and the dogs are lovely companions. Would stay again and highly recommend.

This place was even better in person! We really enjoyed our time there. The view over the town and ocean is absolutely beautiful, and the infinity pool made it even better! — we spent a lot The casita was ideal for our daughter, brother in law, & mother — it gave them their own space while still being close by. The kitchen had everything we needed and more! We really appreciated the basic spices, oil, coffee, sugar, etc. that were provided. Cheryl was helpful with arrival instructions & recommendations for the best happy hour & nicest beach with hammocks. The location is the best we have found so far! We won’t hesitate to return.
