It is located on the first row of Manda island which boasts some of the most clean beaches and rich Swahili culture and history. Our hotel is built using locally sourced materials all of which are very eco-friendly. our rooms are naturally well lit and aerated and they also have solar power installed. Easy access to the beach and other amenities i.e Towns(Lamu, Shela), Market, Takwa Ruins etc

A new, private, selfcontained and stylish Lamu Style room within SHUWARI HOUSE. A confortable sitting place, baraza style, with cushions and a caved table, for reading or have a drink. A large traditional double bed with mosquito net, shelves and a wardrobe. A bathroom with shower (hot water by solar system !!) and toilets. A fan cools the atmosphere. Wifi is provided. Full access to the kitchen and the terrasse caressed by the breeze. Ngema will be in attendance to help, cook, clean, advise.

Kiru House

Surrounded by century old baobabs, Nyumba Kiru is a stunning villa facing the ocean. Our house can welcome large group (14 pax) or just a couple for a romantic weekend. We rent out the whole house from 2 to 14 pax so you will never have to share with anyone. Nyumba Kiru has a pool, dining areas, bar, kitchen, umbrella and sun bed around the pool and on the beach. Wifi access and TV/DVD system. The house runs on solar system and generator.
