The Carriage House: Beautiful Farmland Views.

The Carriage House is the second floor of our cedar stables that was turned into an apartment years ago. It was completely redone this spring and professionally decorated to make it a cozy + luxe retreat with views to die for. While we no longer use the stables to house animals we still keep a few head of cattle + sheep in the pasture for your enjoyment. The wall of windows along the back of the apartment offer you the most stunning views of the surrounding farmland and an unforgettable sunrise.

Our home is located in the middle of Pennsylvania Dutch Country, and within walking distance of all the shops in Intercourse including Kitchen Kettle Village, Stoltzfus Meats, and Smucker Village. Intercourse is surrounded by farmlands and in the summer several authentic Amish roadside stands selling fresh produce can be found within a mile from our home. We've been sharing our home with guests for years, and just refreshed the furniture and decor this year to ensure you have a cozy + chic stay.

Daniel is a very friendly host with a beautiful home set in rural Lancaster County. He made me, my wife, and our four small children feel like we were honored guests, telling us about Lancaster and its Amish culture, and also showing us around the grounds of his property—including a look at the chickens neighboring his home! If I’m ever back in Lancaster, PA, I will certainly be considering another stay at Daniel’s house!

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Martha and Ervin’s place. The location was perfectly nestled near all of our favorite Lancaster spots (Kitchen Kettle, The Smokehouse Restaurant, Linden Coffee, Lapp Valley Farms + Ice Cream, and so much more!). While conveniently located, Martha and Ervin’s place provided plenty of privacy in a peaceful area. We look forward to staying here again and highly recommend it for your next Lancaster stay!

This loft was sweet and well appointed. Everything we needed for a weekend getaway. Nice decor and very clean. Kelly was kind and attentive to our questions and sharing that everything was ready to go. The area has plenty of things to do and places to eat. My husband and I had a great weekend at the loft! Charlotte was an amazing host. She greated us at the door and helped us take our things to our room. The accommodations were spotlessly clean and in great shape. We had plenty of room to spread out and the home was very quiet. In the morning we arose to fresh baked delights and parfaits. We also had plenty of coffee options. Our host was a kind and pleasant person, very aware of not intruding on our time, but available if we needed her. We will definitely be heading her way again!
