This comfortable beach home was perfect for our family with lots of cozy beds for everyone. The view from the upper deck is fantastic; the perfect place to enjoy your dinner as a family or read a book as the sun is setting.

This house is beyond expectations. Fabulous for a multigenerational family vacation. Virtually independent lower floor suite. 2 families, 1 couple, 1 single, all had their own bathrooms. Enough bedrooms for 3 kids each to have own. Excellent outdoor spaces - rooftop, balcony, brai area - all set up for outside meals. Well-equipped kitchen. Well set up for handling beach days with warm shower outside front door and clothes line right there. Spacious entry way gives room for all the paraphanalia of a big group. Very safe roads and easy walks to gorgeous beaches. Very quiet in the off-season. Two local restaurants & a beach shop for essentials in easy walking distance. Many different day trip options for all ages. Overall, our family described the place as "epic".

We had a wonderful stay at Thesen Island. Hester, Georgie and Lorraine were all so accommodating and helpful.

Nico was very helpful. The castle is remote and private but easy to get to. Beautiful surroundings - a hidden Gem. Would recommend for any family gathering.

Our stay with Sonet was fantastic, our 5 border collies were accommodated due to the fenced garden in front. This was one of our main criteria. Thank you. The space was modern, well equipped and functional. Was great that the property had solar power backup should lead shedding have come our way. Well equipped kitchen with dishwasher and air fryer, microwave oven. Close to the beach although during our time there the walk way was under repair due to flood damage (municipal responsibility). Loved our stay and especially the peace and quiet and closeness to beach. Felt right at home. Great hosts will return

Very nice place, Excellent hospitality

I don't understand the bad reviews at all The large villa is perfect for a stay in Knysna. First, it should be mentioned that the place can't be safer. The rooms are spacious and there was enough space for our group of five. The villa has a nice pool, BBQ as well as large dining areas. We would come back in a heartbeat.

First thing, the pictures on AirBnB site don't do the place justice. when i got there my god i was very impressed. the place is beyond fabulous, the hospitality top notch and the food, ambience and the VIEW spectacular. Many thanks to Mr Owen

Our family group of 6 adults, 4 children and 2 dogs stayed here and had a wonderful time. The pool and braai were perfect for hanging out and the master bedroom was gorgeous. The house is a combination of modern updates with traditional elements that worked just fine for us. The beach is beautiful and the water not too cold. PiliPili restaurant is walkable and delicious with a play area for the kids. The lagoon a bit further down is also great for kids.

Wonderful location on the edge of the lagoon with views of the Knysna Heads. Beautiful property with all the required amenities.

We loved staying at this house! It has stunning views overlooking the Knysna lagoon, great security being on Thesen Island, good privacy from the neighbours, it's spacious, has a lovely pool deck for sunset drinks, it has comfortable furnishings and a friendly and responsive host. (Thank you Candy for sorting out the DSTV sound immediately when we reported it). We would be keen to stay here again. Thank you!

Great place to stay at Garden Route and great value for money. The rooms are clean and spacious. Amazing views from the balcony over the ocean. Nico was a friendly host and provided us with great recommendations.

As a Garden Route local, I can confidently say this home is in one of the absolute best locations in the entire region. The setting is peaceful, scenic, and perfectly placed to enjoy all that the Garden Route has to offer. The house itself is truly beautiful—thoughtfully designed, exceptionally maintained, and filled with character. It’s rare to find a place that combines such a stunning location with such tasteful living spaces. Highly recommended.

Absolutely outstanding. The house is even better than the photos- endless, exquisite views of the sea, your own private access to miles of pristine beach, and everything you could possibly need in a beautifully furnished home. The area is fabulous - we fell in love with Sedgefield - the beaches, the warm Indian Ocean, the incredible walks, the lake and the outstanding local farmers market every Saturday where you can get amazing goods. This is one of the most beautiful areas we have stayed in, in South Africa - remarkable in a country that has many beautiful spots. And the house could not be more perfectly positioned. But what elevated our experience was the phenomenal kindness and assistance from our host Nadja - she could not have been more helpful. We had a phenomenal and blissfulthree week family holiday over the Dec/Jan festive season and are already planning when to go back. I cannot recommend this house, the area and our gracious hostess enough. Thank you Nadja

Morné is a great host, responds immediately to messages, welcomed us in person, had prepared freshly baked bread and a huge bowl of fruit for a us the location is stunning, views of the ocean, steep, but walkable short road leads down to the beach and coastline and up to the viewpoints on Knysa heads, perfect place, away from the buzz, but still close to everything

A little patch of heaven. Very well equipped kitchen for indoor & outdoor cooking. Lovely beds - good mattresses and beautiful linen. Gorgeous cabin for the 6 of us - just great having a little private beach and use of a canoe. The Loerie and Hoopoe visited us. Alison was very helpful in every way. We would love to come back one day.

From the moment we booked, Helene was incredibly responsive and helpful, answering all my questions promptly. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by her in person, which immediately made us feel at home. The accommodation exceeded our expectations - spotless, beautifully maintained and impressively well equipped. We truly felt like special guests. Helene thoughtfully prepared a welcome with wine, coffee, rusks, muffins; which was such a lovely touch. She also shared great local tips, including restaurant specials, which we really appreciated. The location is fantastic!! Peaceful, safe, and with absolutely breathtaking views. This place is a real gem, and so is the host. We thorougly enjoyed our stay and would return in a heartbeat. Highly recommended.
