Our House is located in the Ria Formosa Natural Park, right in front of the Salt flats around Tavira and Cabanas where the Algarve cycle path from the very east of the Algarve runs all along the coastline towards the western end. Enjoy the stunning sea views from the upper terrace, the covered patio in the little garden or take a walk into nature to watch various birds. The local beach is a 25-30 min walk away as well as the center of Tavira with its many restaurants, bars/cafés and boutiques.

Originally this part of the farmhouse was the family living area and still features beautiful authentic Portuguese tile floors, renovated wooden shutters and ceiling ornament in the hallway. Now it is an attractive, comfortable holiday home with private terrace, adjacent to a large communal mediterranean garden with pool, 4km to fishing village Fuseta, beach and lagoons of Ria Formosa.

Being there means you love outdoors, experience nature, hikes, and get inspired and humbled by simplicity.

Monte do Cansado is a small country house with a magnificent view over the hills of Tavira. With 2 bedrooms, one bathroom, a huge open-space kitchen and a large sunny terrace it is ideal for beach or hiking holidays in the eastern Algarve. It's central heating in every room makes Monte do Cansado a cozy retreat after long hikes or bike tours on cooler winter days. The big swimming pool with a magnificent view of the valley is shared with the guests of Casa do Pátio and the owners.

The house is in the town of Rompido, 600 meters from the PLAZA de las SIRENAS, very close to the school in the PUNTA CORAL area. You can walk down to the town or park in one of the two car parks that are located in the town. The town center becomes pedestrianized in summer. From the house you can make routes by bicycle or on foot because El Rompido is in a natural setting.
