The Steading with Pool & Hot Tub

RachaelRating, 5 stars2 months ago
A great getaway with loads to do close by for whatever mood you're in - great towns and cities like Calendar and Stirling less than half an hour away, equally beautiful countryside and multiple waterfalls, lochs and walks to choose from on the doorstep. Our toddler loved the on site swimming pool and the grown ups enjoyed the peaceful views from the hot tub too! Rosie was so friendly and accommodating.

The Gardener’s Cottage with wood fired Hot Tub

SaraRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
This garden cottage was straight out of a romantic fairytale! The gorgeous garden surrounding the cottage and the view of the water and misty rolling hills framed perfectly by a stone wall and ivy were just breathtaking (especially while sitting in the wood fire heated hot tub). The cottage itself was incredibly cozy. We had nearly gotten stranded on Islay with car issues and we weren’t even sure we’d get to enjoy this stop on our holiday. By the time we arrived, we were completely exhausted from the chaos of the previous 24 hours so this relaxing and welcoming space was exactly what we needed to decompress. ☺️ The cottage was well equipped and very clean! We had everything we needed and then some. Caroline was an exceptional host. She was remarkably responsive and lovely to interact with both prior to our stay (when we weren’t sure we’d be able to make it) and during our stay! Anyone with the opportunity to stay here, should absolutely do it! Thank you for everything, Caroline!!

MacLean Cottage on the banks of Loch Long

PatRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Lovely location and David was very responsive. We had a wee problem with the hot tub and David came out to rectify it early morning when the weather was at its worst. Great hosts and take pride in their accommodation and facilities. A great break in homely accommodation with the hot tub as a lovely addition. The weather didn’t spoil our stay and enjoyed the peace and quiet of this great location.

Mrs Leonard's Cottage with hot tub and sauna

AlisonRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We couldn’t have picked a better place to finish our week exploring Islay and Jura. The cottage is an absolute dream. A mixture of back to basics and quality amenities. Located a 10 minute drive from Craighouse but also with great walks straight from the door. The paps right on your doorstep gave us the most magical sunset sight. Rain or sun whatever the weather Jura wears it well. And Mrs Leonard’s cottage is the perfect place to come back to and either warm up in front of the fire or sip a wine or a touch of the hard stuff in the garden. I hope we will be back

Cosy loch side cottage

LouiseRating, 5 stars6 days ago
We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful home. The house was spacious, comfortable, and thoughtfully equipped – we especially loved the generous kitchen and light-filled rooms. The garden was a real highlight – peaceful, beautifully maintained, and perfect for relaxing after a day out exploring. The location was ideal for day trips – we easily visited Oban, Appin, Glencoe, and Fort William, all stunning parts of Scotland. The host was incredibly helpful and responsive throughout our stay, which made everything smooth and stress-free. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would absolutely return. A fantastic Airbnb in a fantastic spot – highly recommended!

Cosy, peaceful, luxury Highland cottage

IanRating, 5 stars4 days ago
Hi Anna , we have had a great time at your hide away cosy cottage whilst also going out and exploring what the area near and afar has to offer. We travelled from near Oban for our first week when we went to the Isle of Mull and then this week we did make time to visit the Isle of Skye which was spectacular. We live in mid Wales so use to the unpredictable weather but on the whole it’s been good to us . Great place to base ourselves from . The wildlife in the garden have been great to see as well and the dogs have loved it . Thank you .

Picturesque Old Smiddy Cottage

TaniaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Words cannot express the wonderful week we have had on Loch Katrine. Old Smiddy is ideally located for hiking the mountains, lochs and woodland and Carole has thought of all you need to make it feel like a home from home. Having our morning tea watching the Barn Swallows and House Martins catching their breakfast on the lake in the sunshine was very special. Aberfoyle has all you need for food and cute shops and fantastic Doone Hill walk from the town - Free Parking!!! A ferry trip on the Sir Walter Scott from the pier over to Trossachs Pier is a MUST and the Primrose Hill hike was stunning. The Pier Cafe is outstanding, definitely worth a treat and just a short walk away. Thank you Carole for sharing your amazing house, we will be back to enjoy the hot tub and sauna 🤞

Schoolhouse Cottage, lochshore views near Glencoe

AlixRating, 5 stars5 days ago
We had a great experience staying with Chris and Susan, and would highly recommend this to anyone in the area - head and shoulders above hotels at a similar price point. We stayed for 3 nights, looking for a base between Fort William and Glencoe for hiking. The cottage is very well located for what we had planned and was a welcome break from the string of damp and dingy hotels that we had stayed in beforehand. The place is very well equipped, with a smart TV in case the weather takes a turn and everything you could need for home cooking and lunch prep (which was a huge bonus for our hikes). If you are lucky with the weather, there’s even space to eat outside and enjoy the incredible views. The cottage was clean and well maintained and although we didn’t have any issues, Chris and Susan clearly care about ensuring everything meets their standards. If we ever come back to the Highlands, we will look to stay again!

Comfy Cottage with breathtaking panoramic seascape

AndrewRating, 5 stars3 days ago
We spent an idyllic week at this comfortable cottage. We were greeted personally after a long journey, and made to feel immediately at home by Julie , who is accurately described as a ‘super’ host. There were beautiful fresh flowers in the kitchen and lounge, fresh fruit, a chilled bottle of wine, biscuits and some staple provisions (including whisky). The standard of the accommodation, bathroom kitchen and bedrooms was high , with many thoughtful touches (iPhone docks etc) We did not have to make any additional requests as everything we needed and more was provided. One evening we were met by Julie, who explained there was a problem with the water supply. This was resolved with no inconvenience to us at all. We were pre-emptively supplied with 3x5L water bottles in case of emergency. Again a commendation. On the final day I was joined by a red squirrel on the patio as we bid farewell to Craobh Haven and the stunning view ! We would be happy to return, and recommend highly.

Our short stay in Glencoe was wonderful! The house was even more cosy and inviting than we anticipated. Incredibly easy access to the surrounding area for hiking and scenic drives. The coffee shop up the street was so convenient and the Winter Thistle gallery is a must stop.

Lochside Studio

PaulRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We loved the Studio, had a great 3 day stay and hope to visit again. The Studio is large, airy, well laid out, and well equipped, and we particularly appreciated the very comfortable beds and furniture. It's set in a large garden with great views. Very quiet and peaceful. The kitchen has a wide range of everything you need when you're self catering, all very clean. For a retired couple like us, it was ideal - thank you Gordon and Maureen.

A dream location on a stunning, tranquil island!

We had a fantastic few days at Catriona’s house. A truly lovely place with fantastic views of the loch, plenty of birdlife to spot. Lots to do in the area, walking distance to pub and beach. Catriona’s house was clean and had plenty of accessories in the kitchen etc. Comfy sofas on wet days and plenty of games and books available.

Redhill Cottage, Taynuilt

JamesRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
A lovely and peaceful accommodation, which was an annex to the main house. A warm welcome from the hosts on arrival, and the house was clean and well presented. In walking distance to a local shop, pub, and loch. We climbed Ben Nevis during our stay (1h15m drive) and visited Oban (20 min drive). Would definitely stay again.

Cottage, Quiet Rural Location near Loch Fyne

Eda SaturnoRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had a great weekend at Fiona’s cottage despite the rainy weather. The cottage is as described and would be absolutely delightful to sit in the beautiful garden enjoying the peaceful surroundings. The cottage is very private and well looked after. We loved lighting up the log fire in the evenings sipping a glass (or 2) of wine and watching the rain fall, absolutely magical. Fiona is a very responsive and helpful host, when we arrived at the cottage we realised there was no hot water, we contacted Fiona and whithin an hour (or less!) we had a technician come to us who solved the problem in a matter of minutes, we were very impressed by Fiona’s prompt action. We managed to bike down to Old Castle Lachlan and Kilmorie Chapel when the rain let up a bit, lovely scenery and an easy ride on our e-bikes. We dined at The Creggan’s Inn and spotted a red squirrel, 2 does and a fawn on the road down to/from The Oystercatcher, absolutely amazing! Thank you for having us Fiona, we will be back!

Cosy rural lodge, on a farm with an open fire

SophieRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
This is the second time we have stayed here and we loved it just as much the second time round. We are a family of 4 with a 4 and 6 year old and the house is perfect for us. The best view accompanied by chickens and ponies on the doorstep! It's a great base to explore the loch and beyond. Highlights include a local walk to 'the island', climbing Dun na Cuaiche and a ferry over to Kerrera from Oban for a walk and cake. Highly recommend!
