The cabin is off the grid/no electricity, with modern conveniences like solar for lights, LP gas powered refrigerator, and a composting toilet. The property contains 100 acres of forest, trails, and abundant wildlife. Swain Mountain Ski Resort is just 4 miles South, and 7,700 acres of NYS Wild Life Management Area is only 1/2 mile East!

The Nut House

This apartment is located in a beautiful country setting. There is private parking available for guests. Located on the first floor is the entrance to the hallway. Once inside you will have a private door to enter your private apartment. Outside you can enjoy your private patio in the back, a well kept yard, and very nice gardens. There is no stove, but we do offer amenities for simple cooking and reheating food. We also offer a basic continental breakfast with cereal and coffee.

We have a very nice size yard for camp fires and just relax in without any neighbors.Welcome to a peaceful country home in the middle of several very large ponds. Relax on the covered screened porch or the back deck for peaceful meals or just some bird watching. Not super far off the road but you feel like it. Road is pretty quiet and lots of wild life. Ponds and woods not our property so please stay in yard/ grass only
