House holiday rentals in Loch Carron

Caravan was in a great spot with a golf green in front of us, dog loved watching the golfers all day, would book again, the site is perfect for the beach and various walks with the dog.

Amazing cottage that is well equipped with everything you would need. The grounds are beautiful and well kept and the additional access to the facilities in the Abbey is such a delight. Everything is close by and for outdoor adventures you cannot have a better base. We loved it!

Stunning location, the pictures don’t do it justice. Kids loved the swimming pool and games room.

Our family of 3 had a fantastic stay at Joanne's home. The unit was beautifully decorated, very comfortable, and impeccably clean. We loved the direct access to the goregous grounds and lake outside and the little touches like books and games for our son. We would absolutely stay here again!

Plockton is a lovely place and Angie s house is very well situated on the Main Street walkable to restaurants. Although the weather was not always sunny we could still enjoy the beautiful garden at the front and the views are amazing. I would strongly recommend Angie s house. All the best Angie Marie Claude

Diana was very helpful, providing us with all the necessary information before our arrival, along with some excellent recommendations for restaurants and other local businesses. She went above and beyond to help us resolve some unexpected car trouble, which we really appreciated. The house was amazing—exactly as pictured, clean, warm, and equipped with all the necessary amenities for even a long stay. We would definitely recommend it for a group of friends or a couple of families looking to explore the beautiful Highlands and enjoy a home-away-from-home experience.

Lizzie's cottage really was a home from home, very comfortable. Plockton is a stunning little village and the cottage is in a perfect location. A short beautiful walk to the Plockton Hotel for dinner was a joy. The walk back looking at the evening sky over the bay, was the nicest return from a pub we've ever experienced 😀

The Shorehouse was one of the best airbnbs we've ever stayed in and we'd recommend to anyone visiting the Isle of Skye. Everything inside is modern and recently renovated with luxurious amenities and one of the most beautiful views in the world right outside the window. Lots of privacy but a short drive to not only the top sights to see in Skye such as the Old Man of Storr and Gairaing but also nearby grocery stores and restaurants. Fiona was also responsive with clear check-in instructions. A must stay!!

Cottage well equiped and location very good, couple of cafés nearby and spar very convenient. We were visiting friends and have been to lochcarron before we also gad a wonderful meal at carron restaurant full recommend 😋

Very nice apartment to stay, we all had our own beds and they were very comfortable. Kitchen was good equipped, hot tub was very nice and the living room as well. The location was easy to find, a bit of a ride to Isle of Skye but totally fine! Would definitely recommend it :)

Our first visit to Skye and a week made all the better by the property and location. Dorothy was on hand when needed and the property had everything we needed, was really well equipped and had a place for everything. It's at the quieter end of the island, which we liked, but does mean a few more miles to see some of the well known sites. Not an issue, as so many things to see and do on the way north and the scenery never got old. The only small issue for us, was the internet, although it is there, if you need to work while away, or check in with friends/relatives, any video meetings won't work, even some internet browsing, was very slow. Dorothy kindly offered her home and internet connection to use for a client meeting we had, but we re-arranged the meeting, as did not wish to impose on her kind hospitality. Property is 6 miles down a single lane road with passing places that is no issue, as long as you drive safely and navigate the pot holes and sheep. 5 Stars overall.

This was a great holiday for us. The house was everything we expected. The views and the weather wonderful. It is remote as described. We didn't have a car as holiday makers can't take a car to the island but used bikes (one brought with us, one hired on Eigg) to get about and collect extra shopping. It was a haven for walkers. Peaceful, quiet, spectacular scenery, wonderful wild flowers and birds including eagles.

We stayed in this house as a party of five (parents + two teenagers + grandpa), and found the house perfectly laid out for a group. Each bedroom has its own en-suite, which was so convenient, and the living area and kitchen had plenty of seating for us to congregate around. The washer and dryer were super helpful for doing laundry (a rack and small fans are provided too, to finish off any clothes still damp from the condensation dryer). We didn't do any super complicated cooking, but the cooking we did was easy with the double oven, stovetop, and dishwasher. The view is unbeatable. Like just something from a postcard. We'd sit down in the morning and mean to turn something on the TV and end up staring out the window instead. We were there during a blustery GALE and the house was still completely airtight and snug, no drafts or anything. Uig is a bit more far-flung (although it has a couple restaurants and a shop), so be sure to plan for groceries and drives accordingly.

Hi Traveler, This house is truly a unique house! It offers stunning views, walks near a river, and is surrounded by hills, with curious deer trying to connect with you. The house is well-equipped and cozy, with a great fireplace where we enjoyed relaxing with our dogs after our hikes. Big thanks to Louse for hosting us at this wonderful place. P.S. Dal na Mara literally took my breath away. I'd seen all the photos, but the reality is ethereal! I literally spent the first day looking out the windows, listening to the wind, watching the sun move across the water, islands, and mountains. I will treasure my week of relaxation and being in the moment. The home is beautifully furnished, comfortable, and creates a wonderful home for the week. Helga has thought of everything as well as the directions. I ever closed the blinds because I wanted to see the view 24-7. Private, so I didn't feel exposed. The bed was a cloud. So many places to travel see the incomparable NW Highlands as well as Ullapool. BEST TRAVEL LOCATION AND ACCOMMODATION IN 35 YEARS!!

Beautiful spot with gorgeous views from the house. A great location if you want to explore both mainland and Isle of Skye. The house was clean and very well equipped. Great to sit in the hot tub and enjoy the view of the valley and the estuary and watch all the birds. We recommend the walk up to the top of the mountain summit opposite the house!
