Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Loch Tay

We had the best stay here for my sister’s bridal do! The house was spotless and Mhairi was super responsive. Really wanted a relaxed, homely space with beautiful surroundings and this home was perfect. No hesitation in recommending to family and friends in the future.

Located right next to Black-watch bar/hotel at the top of the town. Easy walk to Menzies castle, fun walk to the Birks, and it was made even better by the once a month market we got to stop in and buy fresh local goods to cook with and artisans to buy keepsakes. Wonderful place and would love to stay here again!!!

La promesse de la vue était fabuleuse et nous avons pas été déçus. Si vous recherchez un endroit paisible et isolé, c’est l’endroit parfait. Il n’est pas parfaitement placé si vous cherchez les endroits touristiques à visiter mais le lieu se suffit à lui même pour quelques nuits et il est parfait pour se reposer et profiter du calme. Les chambres et pièces de vie sont très belles et bien décorées. Merci de mettre une belle maison comme ça à disposition.

Second time at Shiel and thoroughly enjoyed the stay once again. Beautiful setting and area, a short drive from neighboring towns if you need to buy supplies. The house has seen fantastic renovations since our last visit. The house is perfect for any large group that are looking for catch ups or family reunions. Highly recommended!

The cottage was beautiful! Location is peaceful and private. Marianne's instructions to get to the cottage were very helpful and made it easier to find the cottages. The cottages were clean, neat and tidy giving us ample of space to use. The views from the cottage are spectacular even our kitten enjoyed the views! The location was perfect for us to drive around other places in the highlands and discover local areas. Would definitely recommend and hope to come back! Thank you Marianne for the wonderful stay. David's place was our favourite during this one week holiday in Scotland. The location is amazing and seeing the water from the livingroom and bedroom windows was wonderful. However, what made it stand apart from other accommodations was the interior design: every single space inside the house is tasteful and cosy, and we felt at home from the moment we walked in. Everything was clean and the quality of towels, soaps and shower gels are five star hotel level. David and Amanda are great hosts, very friendly and thoughtful, and it is evident that the comfort of their guests is their priority - also, we were delighted to meet them in person. We were sorry to leave after only one day there and will be happy to go back when next in Scotland.

This place will forever be dear to my heart! We booked Kintail Cottage as a place to get ready before we got married Lochside at Loch Lubnaig and it was perfect. What a beautiful place, gorgeous location, and had all the amenities we could possibly need. Thank you so much Jeff - we will absolutely be back time and time again!

Clover Cottage was absolutely magical. The house is private, nestled in gorgeous Scottish countryside, perfect for long walks with the dogs and really, truly escaping. The house was incredibly cozy, and we loved the hot tub. The nearest shops are a bit of a drive, but we just stocked up and nestled in. I absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for some peace and quiet!

This was a work trip and rather than staying in an hotel, I decided to look after myself. That was a great decision as The Burrow was very local to where I needed to be; incredibly well equipped and comfortable and just exactly what I needed. Kathleen communicated brilliantly in the run up to my stay and access to the property could not have been easier. Perfect

We had another highly enjoyable weekend at Swallows Nest, our 2nd short stay at this very peaceful and comfortable property. A home from home, in very beautiful and special surroundings. Already arranging our 3rd visit … :) Highly recommend for a family or couple. Thank you both!

We were very comfortable at Earl and Helen's apartment. It's a terrific space with a great bed, loads of room, and everything you would need. We especially appreciated the washer and dryer and well appointed kitchen. Situated close to several bus lines, it is easy to navigate around Dundee. Great value, clean, safe and quiet, it is everything you could hope for!

Hannah’s place is gorgeous. Very small kitchen, but well laid out and manageable, adequately stocked for our needs Hannah’s description and instructions are clear A lovely touch, a welcome basket of teas, coffee, milk and shortbread. Also shower gel in the bathroom

Our stay at Audrey’s was perfect - ideal location for the Cateran Yomp but equally a wonderful place if you want a few days away for some peace and quiet. Beautiful building and interiors - and extremely spacious. Will be back next year!

Lorne’s place was stunning! We were greeted by a colleague who was so friendly and helpful. The place was perfect for 2 people. It was clean, well decorated and stocked with treats for us. We felt right at home. The location was very walkable to a fun neighborhood and about a 15-20 minute walk to the major sights. We couldn’t ask for a better stay in Edinburgh!

A fantastic stay had by two families with young children and dogs. A wonderful property in the most amazing location. We had everything in the house we needed and the kayaks and beach access down the hill was fantastic too. Great communication and information from the host. Thank you.

I had a fantastic stay at Ardvullin with my colleagues. We were completing our corporate challenge at Ben Nevis and Loch Eil and this was the perfect place to stay as we came up from Edinburgh/Glasgow the night before. The Corran Ferry worked really well to get us across and up quickly to Ben Nevis (c 20mins once over the ferry). The lounge was fab- great social space for the evenings. We had wet weather so didn’t get to enjoy the beautiful garden, bbq or activities but it looked great. I recommend an evening at Ardgour Ales which is a 15min walk through the woods/farm through the side gate of the house. If you contact them in advance you can pre-order pizzas (normally a Friday but they were lovely and did them on the Saturday for us after our challenge). The rooms/showers/toilets were nice and clean. Great big kitchen table too that worked perfectly for the 11 of us. Would thoroughly recommend!

We stayed with 8 people and we had an amazing time. Great house, lots of space, super cozy. All amenities there that you could think of. We would happily return. Not suitable without a car, in my opinion, but great for hiking and mountain biking. Close to Fort William and its supermarkets and pubs.

We had an incredible stay at Elangowan in For Augustus! The property was exceptionally clean, tidy and the decor was amazing. The views from the second floor were breathtaking, and we loved how close we were to the charming town—everything was within walking distance. Our family made wonderful memories here, and we can't recommend this Airbnb highly enough!

This is a lovely house with beautiful views in a fantastic location! We got very lucky with sunny weather during our stay meaning we could make the most of the gorgeous surroundings - we did white water rafting on the River Tay and enjoyed the Taymouth Marina spa, all of which were a short drive away from the house. The house was just as described and pictured and the hosts were great - they were very responsive and flexible, allowing us to have both an early checkin and late check out. There is a good amount of parking at the property and the kitchen was well stocked with all amenities you could need. The house is on a main road but it is not busy and traffic noise was not an issue. I would definitely recommend this house to a group.

This Airbnb was perfection. It looks better than the photos and is so spacious. We had a group of 6 adults and 5 children on this trip and it was plenty of space and bathrooms. Everyone had hot showers. The furniture was comfortable and well kept. The host was incredibly friendly and very proactive. We discovered the coffee maker and iron were broken when we arrived and he quickly came out with new ones. I wish we had more time to spend here because it was beautiful. Well done!

We were a family of 11 and 3 dogs and we were blown away by the villa. When we got inside we were walking from room to room saying wow at every new room. We cannot praise Nicola and James enough for their communication throughout keeping us informed. Everything was just perfect 👌 the extension with the dining room with the long table was our favourite room and the sofa positioned so you could look out over the loch was everyone’s favourite place to be ❤️ The villa is very well stocked with everything you could need and more. I had read about the welcome pack but didn’t dream it would be as lovely as it was (sadly it’s all gone now!) the hot tub was very welcome after a busy day. The scenery in Scotland is stunning. Three of our party climbed Ben Nevis and the drive to Fort William must be one of the most beautiful in Scotland/UK.
