Mawenyoupe - Stone cottage in heart of Argyll

IngeRating, 5 stars1 month ago
This was our first time to visit this area - what a great place to explore Scotlands ancient past and its present beauty! So many ancient monuments within a quick drive as well as a short drive to other points of interest like Inverary. The Horseshoe Inn across the street was delicious and very accommodating with dietary restrictions.

Spacious lodge with king sized bed

RuneRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
On arrival, the weather was coming in, but as soon as we were inside that just made the place feel cozy, it's well insulated against cold and drafts (and midges). And entering through the conservatory gives an upgraded porch to get yourself and your belongings sheltered under while you are fiddling to get in. Both kitchen and bathroom are really nicely specced, and we found the whole place to easily have everything we needed for holiday relaxing - including a very comfortable bed. The place is quite isolated, so unless your main plans for activity is walking - there is a nice round trip walk down to Furnace - or similar outdoor activities - or none at all - be aware that anything else requires a drive. That being said, nearby Inveraray was one of the most picturesque small towns we saw on our trip, with several good places to eat.

Fabulous round house on the west coast of Scotland

David and Clare’s “The Drum” is a real gem! It was the perfect sanctuary for us to relax and unwind for 6 days. We enjoyed their supper club (exquisite, fine dining) (the best) by Clare and perfectly hosted by David. We loved swimming in the Loch opposite through the golden gate, lighting fires in the evenings. And the incredible silence. Peace. Beautiful experience. Check out the Crinan canal and go for lunch in Crinan. Spectacular views. Take a short cruise up the canal. Thank you so much.

Siskin Cottage nestled in Kilmartin Glen

NeilRating, 5 stars1 month ago
A return trip here and as it was last year the place was spotless, hosts were fantastic, accommodation was perfect for me and would be very comfortable for a family of four. Lots to explore around Kilmartin Glen and Knapdale but Roger and Jenny go out their way to create a great welcome. Highly recommended without any hesitation

Philips home is beautiful, such a joy to stay there every window and door looked out to the garden across to the Firth of Clyde, amazing views watching the boats and birds, and ever changing sky's. I cannot eat Gluten and dairy, Philip provided his home made breakfast pots which were really delicious also bread milk biscuits, fruit, yoghurt and jams also sunflower spread, tea and coffee, orange juice he had made so much effort to ensure they were suitable for me. The bed was so comfortable and to wake up open the curtains to those views what a joy! I can highly recommend Philip and his airbnb home, truly wonderful Anne
