Holiday rentals in Lombardy

A great little peaceful getaway for the long weekend! If you are looking for a secluded time away only an hour from downtown Ottawa, this is the place. Arlene’s secret cabin was cozy and relaxing. A great host with amazing local recommendations, delicious blueberry jams, and a perfectly rustic cottage :) Thank you again, we’ll definitely be back!!

We really enjoyed our extended stay here this winter. The cottage is much larger than we expected with two full bathrooms and two large bedrooms that are nicely separated, with a large kitchen space. The pool table provided extra fun for family and friends on cold snowy days. The views out to the river are lovely (even in the winter). The property was very quiet and private making for a relaxing and peaceful escape. The hosts were great to deal with, responded quickly and resolved any issues we had. Merrickville is a short drive away and a great spot to run for lunch or a few groceries. Highly recommend this property!

Very nice place. Very clean and comfortable. It has everything you need for a short stay. We had to visit Ottawa to attend Tulip festival and go to Brockville to visit 1,000 islands. Glenda's place was perfect for us as it was between the two locations. Lake view is good and fire pit is an additional bonus but unfortunately we couldn't use it due to shortage of time and rain. Glenda is a very caring host as she kept checking if we were fine. On the very first day the basement apartment was cold but as we started the indoor fireplace, it was fine. The only drawback is no grocery store nearby. Little bit of noise when the dog runs on the upper floor. However, very good experience overall.

My son and I rented a place last year from Alison that set the tone really high for any future air b&b experiences and despite that one being an absolute blast we somehow were treated to an even more amazing experience at The Treehouse Cabin! This had everything we could have asked for, children's playstructure, fire pit, hot tub, hammock and chairs, outdoor seating, a gorgeous view of the water that we even managed to go swimming in despite it being early May. Awesome right? We haven't even touched on the interior. The cottage has the sort of charm that only these two could put on. Beautiful interior, Alison's best pillows,throw blankets, comfortable seating etc. Not to mention the fantastic carrot cake that I had been hoping for since last years rental! The master bedroom was about as relaxing a sleep as one could hope for and the cottage had everything one could possibly need. Before leaving we booked the cottage again! Thanks for giving us memories that will last forever!

We have rented many cottages over the years and this one is at the top of the list. The cottage is so lovely! Beautifully maintained vintage cottage with all the charm and the added luxuries of modern living. The space was spotless and the linens were lovely. The furniture and decor makes the place feel really cozy. Lots of places to curl up with a book and a great dining space for a family dinner. The kitchen is very well equipped and we really appreciated the coffee, cream, butter etc that was provided. The grounds and view are gorgeous. We spent most of our days on the dock reading in the sunshine. We got the canoe out and explored the lake which was great. Closest town is Perth and it’s very pretty! I would have no hesitation in recommending this property and the host Lexi. We had such a wonderful week and hope to return next summer.

Manuela’s home is incredibly spacious and very well suited to accommodate families and multiple couples. The home is located in close proximity to Perth, its parks, and a kayak/paddle board outfitters on the Tay River. The home is very sunny generally and it includes a lovely kitchen eating area as well as a large dining room for guests. The 2.5 bathrooms were well appointed and the kitchen was well equipped. The home was well cared for and very clean. Manuela is a helpful host who responded to our questions promptly.

I couldn't have a found a better place relax with dog. Everything was so pleasant and peaceful. Would definitely recommend and I hope to return again in the future.

My husband and I stayed a night at this beautiful gem, It was so peaceful & relaxing. Very easy to find and quick responsive host (Johanne). We ate at the poutine truck across from the Chinese restaurant and it was very good but I think next time we would opt into cooking or just get a pizza. Johanne gave us a few recommendations on places to go and showed us around the farm with cute 🐓. Would def recommend and we will be staying here again in the future. 😌
