Family-friendly holiday rentals in Longford

Sue's cottage is comfortable, warm and in a nice location in Deloraine. My family were only there to sleep, but would have enjoyed exploring the garden if we had the time.

If you're looking for a place to breathe, relax, contemplate, reflect, play, chat and spend quality time with family and friends, Eagles Nest 2 is perfect. With Mt Roland and a big wide sky as the grand backdrop view from all angles of the house, and with cathedral height windows celebrating every inch of the view, being inside and outside feels seamless. Eagles Nest is an experience. All the rooms are themed and the decor interestingly eclectic. The beds are very comfy. The place is clean. The kitchen has everything one needs. And then there's the outdoor spa (where you run your outdoor bath) tucked discreetly away for a relaxing soak. I think spectacular is the best word to describe the view and the night sky. We even saw a meteor shower from our bed which will be forever etched in my mind, with Mt Roland silhouetted in the background and a squillion million stars twinkling in the night sky (admittedly it was 4.30am - I'd woken to visit the bathroom - lucky timing!). So nice!

Eagle Nest III is hands down the best Airbnb I’ve ever stayed at. The view is breathtaking, the rooms are beautiful, and the whole place feels like a dream come true. I was honestly amazed — didn’t expect to find a place this magical. The host was fabulous and gave super clear instructions. The outdoor hot tub is a must — easy to use and perfectly placed to soak in the stunning mountain views. The road to the unit is easy to access, and once you’re there, the peace and calm are unmatched. There’s a cozy fireplace with plenty of firewood, so no worries about keeping warm. Plus, the nearby farm animals (chickens, cows, bunny!) make the whole experience even more delightful. I left feeling refreshed, happy, and already thinking about my next visit. Highly, highly recommended! :)

We were all impressed with the presentation and cleanliness of the house. Heaps of kitchen utensils available, fantastic outlook from the balcony to watch the sunset! We would definitely stay again.

Beautiful tiny home with a private hot tub courtyard, all set amongst expansive picturesque gardens. Host is friendly, responsive and helpful. We loved our overnight stay and plan to return. Highly recommend.

Had a wonderful stay very peaceful very well thought out also having the meals in the freezer was a great idea and we did find them yummy very well priced as well. We will certainly be coming back.

Awesome place! We had a very relaxing stay here and will definitely be back. Heaps of room for the extra family members, massive enclosed yard which the dog loved, cooking facilities allow room to cook for 2 or 12. Hosts are very approachable and full of great information.

Steve's place is the standout place to stay in Derby. Suitable for a family or group of friends and very conveniently located. Very well equipped for self-catering and also close to the trails, cafes, and pub.

Beautiful home! Great for nice long walks near the river. Huge park across the road. Overall, was a great place to stay. Yard photos didn’t match but it didn’t bother us very much as it’s winter and didn’t go outside very much 😂

Beautiful home felt very homey when we walked in, this is my second time staying close to restaurants & Hosp and the city. Very comfy beds slept well, showers just take a bit to warm up but otherwise a great stay for a girls trip.

Always enjoy staying here when travelling for work. Easy check in and nice and warm with the heat pump and fire.

What a treat it was to stay in such a beautiful home, surrounded by treasures from the past. We will be back.

Perfect home and location for our family of 5 + 2 fur babies mountain bike getaway. Large yard, all well fenced, for our two large dogs. The house was super warm with the fire and heat pump, the double glazed windows held the heat in well. Secure storage for our bikes and gear and easy access to hoses to clean it up. The outside shower was fantastic for removing the mud off our clothes and body ( and dogs!) before going inside to the laundry. Kitchen and bbq had everything we needed to cook our meals at home. Easy ride to the tracks and shuttles. Jo gave us great local advice relating to eateries and sightseeing. We will not consider staying anywhere else next time we come to Derby.

This lovely apartment suited us perfectly for our stay, we felt cosy and at home! We loved the view, the light and spacious open plan lounge and the bed was very comfy! Having a washer and dryer was very useful too :)

This place is an absolute gem! Fabulous location with cafes, restaurants and pubs all walking distance. The house itself is generous in size, modern amenities and tastefully furnished. We’ve stayed here before and would definitely stay again. Highly recommended.

White Croft Cottage is a beautiful quiet sunny little place for 1 or a couple. Its only a short stroll to the historic Ross bridge, hotel, cafes and other sites in Ross. It's warmed by electric heating, lots of blankets and sheepskin rugs. The kitchen has provisions and recipe books on hand.

It was a lovely time at Graham and Kathleen’s place and we’d love to go back every year, if possible, every season to see the changes of the nature!!! Also would love to learn how Graham and Kathleen created such a wonderful place over the years.

Great place, easy access to water. The jetty is right there and you can launch your kayak/ boat or fish right from it. Lovely wineries nearby and some great activities to do in nearby towns. We had a great time. Thoroughly recommend this place. Thanks Ian!

Warm and welcoming, with everything we needed for our stay. Being 2 couples it was great with the 2 bathrooms, comfortable lounge area and kitchen was bright and sunny with all we needed to prepare meals. It was a great place to base ourselves and explore the area. Even had the opportunity to enjoy a relaxing soak in the huge freestanding bath (lovely after a day exploring). Bedrooms were spacious, extra heaters and electric blankets for those cold nights and the beds were extremely comfortable. Would highly recommend and definitely will be back.
