Amazon Botanical Garden - Posada de las Bromelias

MarianaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We loved our stay at the Botanical Gardens! It was a unique experience to be immersed in nature, yet still close to town. Waking up to the sight of little monkeys, birds, and other rescued animals was truly special. The gardens are filled with a variety of beautiful plants, flowers, and trees — a true paradise for nature lovers. Everything was just as described, and Denisse was a great host, offering helpful local recommendations and keeping communication smooth throughout. Just a small note for future guests: the accommodation has quite open acoustics, so sounds from the building and nearby rooms carry a bit. Also, access can be tricky during heavy rain, as mototaxis may struggle with the muddy path — something to keep in mind when planning your transport. That said, these were minor aspects of an otherwise wonderful and memorable stay!

Ideal for 2: a room with hammocks and a river view

AmandaRating, 5 stars3 months ago
This place is a little oasis outside of the busy city of Iquitos. I was there during the wet season so this place was surrounded by river which I would look at for hours while sitting in one of the hammocks and went swimming in it. Teo (the sweet boy who helps run the place) took me to experience Carnival with all the locals and it was so fun, really just felt like part of the family. Only things to keep in mind, there is no mosquito net over the bed and the distant neighbors play loud music sometimes. But I would 100% stay here again.

Cozy room in Iquitos historic & touristic center.

AndrewRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Immediately when I arrived, Hans welcomed me with open arms, I immediately felt like family. He helped me arrange an airport transfer to and from the airport, offered places of interest and recommended some fantastic restaurants to sample the yummy cuisine. The location is spectacular and offers an absolutely stunning view of the Amazon river, literally steps from his house. I loved the room, especially the balcony, being able to work remote with a view of the Amazon River was amazing. It’s quiet at night, not very loud. Across from his house is a river boat museums (highly recommend) and the historical society museum too, both not very expensive. On a quiet day, I negotiated a reasonably priced private 1 hour boat tour for around 70 soles. If you want to hire a moto taxi to show you around the area, ask Han’s for Armando’s information. He is honest, respectful and will show you the city. Last day before I left, I toured the bridge, thank you Han’s for the recommendation.

The Amazonia – A Unique Cultural & Nature Escape

MikeRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Jorge was amazing from booking to arrival. He was wonderful at communicating with me. His place is a beautiful and quiet retreat away from the hustle of Iquitos. There is a good kitchen for making meals and fridge to keep all your produce/meat in. I know there are reviews about how loud it is, but I slept like a baby. The town is very nice and the locals are very friendly, say hello, and smile often. I felt safe and secure walking at night. If you need a quiet place to relax and unwind, this place is for you. Thank you for your hospitality Jorge.

This was a bucket list stay in the Amazon! Incredible place to relax with no signal or wifi and just enjoy your surroundings! The rooms were perfect and incredibly clean. Caesar and his family were the best hosts! We got to see river dolphins in the morning and beautiful birds all day. Lots of excursions available with the best hosts! I would recommend this place over and over for anyone willing to have an incredible experience! Seriously bucket list place to stay!

Brand new room in Iquitos

Carmen LuciaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Maria's home has all the essentials for a comfortable stay. The place was very clean and located in a quiet neighborhood. The room offers quite a bit of privacy as it is located on the second floor and is completely independent. As the only detail to take into account: at night quite light comes in from the street and the adjoining court, so a thicker curtain would help improve the rest. Otherwise, everything was great.
