Bed and breakfast holiday rentals in Lothian

Stayed one night with Sue after our long hike from Anstruther on the Fife Coastal Walk. A lovely, cosy, 2 bedroom annexe to her home. Spotlessly clean, beds super comfy and shower was powerful and hot. Sue is a lovely, friendly host who made us feel very much that her home was to be shared and enjoyed. Which we did. Had a couple of drinks in her lovely garden, watching the bees and butterflies. Slept well in the spacious twin bedroom. Sue made a plentiful full breakfast in the morning with as much as we wanted. Would highly recommend a stay with Sue if you are visiting Kingsbarns. We had dinner in the village community Inn, which was excellent.

Great accommodation, there is everything and it is very clean. Conveniently located near the city center. In addition, Tom is a great host, welcoming and helpful. We recommend it!

Catherine’s home really was the highlight of the weekend. Herself and Lewis were the warmest, most welcoming hosts we could have wished for. The property was very easy to find, with plenty of parking spaces available directly outside. The property looked lovely and tidy from the outside. Catherine and Lewis made us feel right at home from the second we walked through the door. We were instantly shown to our room and the areas available to us. Every single room was absolutely spotless and presented beautifully. There genuinely was not a single complaint I could have made. Myself and my mum had travelled to Edinburgh for the marathon, and had not had the best time due to the organisation of the event, but knowing we had such a comfortable room in a lovely family home to go back to at the end of a long day made the day so much better. I really cannot fault Catherine’s property and would highly recommend it to anyone. I would happily return!

I had a great stay at Lucy’s place in Edinburgh! The apartment was very nice, clean, and comfortable—exactly as described. Lucy provided clear instructions, which made check-in and getting settled super easy. Would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend!

Great starting point to visit loch lomond and the trossachs

Jane was very friendly and helpful. We felt very much at home at the farm. Great for couples looking for a peaceful place with a great view.

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful appartement. Erin & B were very kind and welcoming and made us feel at home. They gave a lot of good tips on what to do in the neighbourhood, and are friendly hosts who are very open to meeting new people! The room itself was comfy, and all the facilities needed are there. All in all a great place to stay!

We had a lovely time at Heathparkhouse. Chris and Meg made us feel at home straightaway. It is a beautiful house, and the interior is amazing. We had the best breakfast of our entire holiday in Schotland. Would definitely book this accommodation.

We really enjoyed this castle experience and David was very helpful and offered personalised suggestions that we really appreciated. We took his advice and it turns out they were excellent suggestions!! We didn’t have any issues but felt confident if we needed something that we would have experience very responsive communication.

Sheila and Ian are such wonderful hosts, my partner and I felt absolutely comfortable with them. They gave great recommendations about which places to explore in the area, and were incredibly welcoming and friendly. If you can stay with them, do!

Thank you Sarah for my stay was so great to meet you. I had exactly what I needed a relaxing break away! I stayed two nights and did activity locally so this was perfect, day two I relaxed and had best bath and most amazing sleep in this huge bed. Not to mention how brilliant breakfast was… whole table set up just for me wow 5 star service :)

Eleanor is one of the most beautiful and thoughtful person I ever met in my life. Her kind gesture is so admirable. I truly felt like home and really wanted to stay some more days. Even though this was not the correct time for that I will definitely come back to this beautiful place again.

Our stay at the Gables was one of our best Airbnb experiences, the room was exceptionally clean, the house and the hosts were very welcoming. The house and the location were extremely peaceful and relaxing. Angus and Claire are great hosts, very friendly and attentive to detail in all aspects. We really enjoyed our stay and would most certainly visit again if we are back in the area.

We can see why Laura is a Superhost. She reached out to us the day before check-in to see if we had any questions and to offer suggestions for places to dine upon our arrival. When we arrived she was there to greet us and to acquaint us with the accomodations. Her place is comfortable and inviting, located in a peaceful scenic setting, yet close to what the city has to offer. After we enjoyed a good night's rest, Laura served us a delicious breakfast in time for us to depart to the airport.

We absolutely loved our stay with Laura! Before we arrived, Laura was communicative and sent us recommendations and helpful instructions for our arrival. Then, drom the moment we arrived Laura was so warm! We felt at home and welcomed. Having stayed in several places across Scotland, this was by far our favorite B&B. The curated art, luxurious bedding, and fantastic breakfast showcased an incredible attention to detail. Plus, the view from the room of the sea was fantastic! The Dundonald B&B is perfectly situated in the charming town of Culross, we enjoyed strolling around the town and soaking in its rich history. If you're an Outlander fan (we are) the B&B is down the street from Mercat Cross, which was where they filmed parts of the fictional village of Cranesmuir. Plus, there's an alehouse just around the corner that has a wonderful menu! Highly recommend staying here! Our only regret is we did not stay for longer.

Great village pub with a shop, great beer and beautifully cooked lamb & duck dishes in the evening. The accommodation was tucked away and felt private and we woke to birdsong and sunshine in the morning.

Our stay at Dominic and Elaine's home was nothing short of perfect. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with open arms by the kindest and friendliest hosts we’ve ever met. They truly went above and beyond with personal touches that made us feel right at home. Their attention to detail and thoughtfulness did not go unnoticed! The house itself is absolutely stunning—every corner beautifully designed and immaculately kept. We were constantly in awe of the space and comfort. But what truly made our stay memorable was the incredible breakfast they prepared. It was not only delicious but felt like it was made with such care and love. If you’re looking for a stay that feels both luxurious and warm, we cannot recommend Dominic and Elaine's place enough. We left feeling like we had made new friends, and we’ll definitely be back! Thank you, Dominic and Elaine, for an unforgettable experience!

Another wonderful stay at South Kinaldy House with Sheila and Thomas! Sheila consistently goes above and beyond to accommodate her guests, making us feeling more like friends vs. guests. Dropping off a daughter at uni while traveling from afar can be quite tough - but staying in Sheila & Thomas’ lovely home makes things so much easier. Her friendly demeanor, beautiful home and gardens, and willingness to help us in many different ways truly sets this stay apart. Thank you Sheila & Thomas for making our stay in St. Andrews delightful yet again!

We had a amazing stay with Annabel and had a lovely breakfast in the morning. She was really nice and friendly and easy to communicate with. Would highly recommend her place!

My dog and I had a very pleasant stay at Jessica’s place. The balance between privacy and hospitality was just right. I asked for a recommendation for dinner in the area (a place that was dog friendly) and we ended up in a really nice pub! The area where Jessica lives is quiet with lots of green and the city center still walkable. I would recommend!!

We stayed here with our two dogs to break the journey on our return home from Scotland. Patricia was so kind and friendly and a true dog lover. The garden was safe and enclosed so our dogs could have a good run around. The annex was super clean, very spacious and we had a lovely breakfast before setting off. I highly recommend Patricia's B&B.

Laura and Castlecroft B&B were a welcomed rest after a long travel day. Laura greeted us and gave us a quick tour and let us get settled in after arriving later than expected. She pointed us to a wonderful dinner spot and the next morning we had the best breakfast! We also came with our toddler and Laura made her feel right at home. Highly recommend Laura and the Castlecroft for a stay!
