We had a wonderful stay at the Red House! The space was very cozy, yet surprisingly roomy — perfect for relaxing and feeling right at home. Everything was spotless and well-maintained, and the setting felt peaceful and private throughout our stay. Highly recommended for anyone looking for comfort, cleanliness, and a quiet retreat.

We had a great stay! Aaron was super communicative and responded promptly to any questions we had. Both the cottage itself and surrounding area was beautiful. Definitely bring your bug spray, but cannot recommend this place enough!

What a beautiful property! Went for a girls trip and it was the perfect spot for us. Spacious for 4 people with an awesome deck and lawn to enjoy. It was so peaceful to sit out, watch the lake and read while you drank coffee in the morning. There were games we could play, a great fire pit to sit around and a hot tub for when ending the night. The space was very clean and organized, and had everything we could need. Would love to stay here again!

My friends and I had an great stay at Colombe's Cottage. The lake was perfect for a few morning dock jumps, Hot tub nicely situated for lounging when it starts to cool off, and living room cozy enough to watch a thriller when it's time to hide from the Bugs. Taking a swim around the weed free dock and beach is a definite must. Colombe was very quick and responsive to any questions as well.

The cabin and its surroundings are absolutely beautiful, and Mark and Tayler are amazing hosts! I came for a weekend of peaceful relaxation, and I couldn’t have asked for a better setting. The small touches (like a wood stove set up with kindling, bird feeder food ready to use, vinyl collection with stereo ready to play) made the visit feel truly magical. I can’t wait to visit again!

We were a group of lifelong friends up for a long weekend and this place was just an amazing backdrop for a long overdue reunion. The space was impeccable, the lot was beautiful and the wood-powered sauna & hot tub were well-loved. Everything was as described -- the first person that arrived simply said "this place is incredible." The manager was super responsive and really friendly and helpful as we figured out the sauna. We've been home and hour and are already talking of booking May 2026 ... now. The place is really pretty, well-appointed and we were thrilled with the weekend.

We had a wonderful bachelorette weekend at Joanie’s place! There were many games and water toys to keep us entertained our entire stay. We loved using the hot tub and sauna and had an all around blast! The bbq is in a perfect location to look at the pristine lake view as well. Cant recommend this place enough, perfect location and amazing amenities. Thank you Joanie!

Lovely and peaceful cottage. We loved the river view, cozy fire pit, and the warm, welcoming atmosphere.

Ron & Amanda’s place is absolutely incredible. We absolutely loved and enjoyed every part of the space! The outdoor kitchen & hot tub set up is amazing! From paddle boarding, lying in the sun, hanging out in the hot tub or roasting marshmallows by the fire, this space has everything we could have imagined! We cannot wait to be back!

Absolutely wonderful getaway spot with the coziest vibe. The 5 of us really enjoyed staying here for our annual Canadian fishing trip. The place had everything we needed from coffee to life jackets ect. I myself could spend a week here alone just relaxing and going nowhere else. The information packet we received prior to check in was extremely informative, helpful and awesome. Great host!

One of the best hosts I’ve had the pleasure speaking with. Brenda provided tons of information prior to check in, made the check in/out process seamless. We came here for a wedding in the area and felt right at home. If you looking for a weekend away with a homey feel this is the place for you! Thank you Brenda! We can’t wait to be back!

I was lucky to come to Isabelle’s place for a family getaway. It was the perfect place for relaxing - it feels very remote and quiet, with tons of cute deer to watch in the evenings, a nice dock for watching the sunset, and a very cozy living space. The ferry rides were also a fun little experience. I was surprised at how many supplies they had stocked the kitchen with, enough for us to try complicated recipes. The latte machine (with milk frother) and complimentary coffee was also a huge bonus! Isabelle was always quick to reply and very helpful when we had any questions, before and during our stay. Definitely hoping to come back soon. Would highly recommend for a secluded and peaceful stay.

this was the perfect cottage. didn't matter where you were you always had a view of the lake. beautiful dock for boats and a beautiful dock for relaxing on or to swim from. it was so relaxing and peaceful. watching the hummingbirds at the feeder was such a beautiful touch. sitting in the beautiful Adirondack chairs having my morning tea was fantastic. we even got a visit from an otter who just did his thing on the deck while we watched him from the big livingroom window. I would recommend this cottage to anyone looking for relaxation and peace. the pictures don't do it justice. the host is great. the instructions we got ahead of time were great to have as we knew what we needed to bring. the place was absolutely clean. everything we needed was there. it really felt like it was my own place. the furniture and beds were all comfy. thank you thank you thank you dreamnest for sharing your place with others to experience tranquility. the name definitely suits it.

Absolutely spectacular. Hidden gem! If you are looking for something private but still within a 15-20minute drive to groceries this is the place to stay! You won’t be disappointed. Comfortably holds a family of 6! We had an absolute blast! Stunning property and open concept cottage. Lots of natural light and gorgeous view from the living room! The dock and wrap around deck were absolutely beautiful to enjoy for sunrise and sunset! 2 hour drive to Ottawa and 2 hours to Gatineau National Park! Highly recommend the drive into Gatineau park! And Pink Salmon trail! If you have fur babies, this park is very restricted due to the sensitive eco system! Really cute shops and restaurants in downtown Ottawa and in Gatineau Park! We absolutely will be coming back (: Thank you Rachael for being an incredible host! Very responsive to requests and very accommodating !

The pictures don’t do this place justice, the house was amazing and very clean. I will be going back next time I’m up in Sydenham.

We stayed at Luisa’s place for just under a week to celebrate my daughter graduating from Queen’s. We figured it would be nicer to stay in a hour than in a hotel and we weren’t wrong! The location of Luiza’s place is unbelievably beautiful. The lake is calm and secluded and surrounded by forest. The property is set up gorgeously and well maintained. Where-ever you are on the property you’re met with stunning views. Inside we enjoyed a fantastic kitchen that was well stocked as well as an open living space that allowed us to gather. The heated bathroom floors were a great touch. Quick disclaimer (that did not bother us at all, but for future travelers): Luiza isn’t kidding when she says its cliff side! Keep that in mind if you have any mobility issues. Thank you for opening your lovely home for us for such a special occasion.

The house was fantastic. We stayed there while my daughter competed in a hockey tournament in Kingston. It was an easy drive to the city. The place was clean, had games for the kids, and plenty to do outdoors. There are a few grocery/quickie stores just a few minutes away and a couple of restaurants. There were 5 of us and we had plenty of much needed space after a long car ride. We would totally book this place again for the next tournament. Thanks Simon and Winnie for a great trip!

The location of the cottage itself is amazing however what makes this place special is the effort which Kirk especially his wife puts in to make their guests' stay comfortable and memorable. Everything is so organized that we could just step in enjoy our time. There were a few glitches e.g. there was no water supply, however Kirk ensured that this was sorted within minutes of my communicating the issue. infact, Kirk was there at the checkout time to ensure future guests do not face any problems. Tbh we got a little late while cleaning up at the checkout time, however Kirk waited with a smile on his face and even offered to clean up the place by himself. This one is a highly recommended place to stay not just for its beauty but also the host. Thank you and your wife Kirk, you guys are amazing! Hope to see you soon again.

We had a wonderful family stay in Andrey's chalet; the environment is beautiful, the accommodation is very well equipped to enjoy the interior and exterior. We appreciated Andrey's availability and attentiveness, as well as his advice on how to make the most of our stay. We'll be happy to come back if we have the chance.

We needed to get away for a few days for some R&R with peace & quiet and this spot did all that. From the moment we booked the trip until the day we left Carol was there when we needed her (which luckily we never really had to reach out). Check in was easy, the cottage was perfect. It was clean, had plenty of blankets, towels & even had shampoo/conditioner & body wash. She gifted us a bottle of wine in the fridge, nice & cold & ready to drink. The views when you walked in the door took our breath away - a picture window with views of the lake. Outside we found plenty of seating and fire pit with wood provided. Nice set of stairs to go down to the water. The bed, daybed & furniture were comfortable. We had fans to us if needed. We basically stayed & enjoyed the property with a fire going & just took in the quietness. We have promised ourselves that we will be back at least 1x a year, thankfully we are only two hours south. Carol - Thank you for allowing use to enjoy!

We had an amazing stay at Jas’ place! The place was exactly as described - clean, comfortable, and in a great location. Jas was incredibly responsive (even went out of his way to send us local events happening the weekend we were staying) and made check-in super easy. We really appreciated the thoughtful touches throughout the space. The stairs were a lot but a great workout lol! We didn’t have the best luck with weather that weekend but Jas had so many games that made staying inside fun. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone planning a weekend getaway from the city! Thank you Jas!!

Stayed in early spring. Lots of books, games, movies to entertain. Internet was fast and reliable. Wood stove kept the cottage cozy. To cold to swim etc. Parents with small children be aware the path to the lake is steep with no railing. Overall loved the stay. Planning another in the fall.

Carissa and Owen are great hosts and the cottage is the perfect getaway. Our group had an amazing time!
