Proximity to cross-country skiing system and hiking trails and with alpine opportunities in Grövelfjäll, 5 minutes away with car. Idre with its two alpine areas is just over 35 min away. The home has all the comforts you need for a good mountain vacation with three bedrooms, modern kitchen, fireplace and sauna. Note that bed linens and towels are not provided but are brought by guest. Please read all the information before booking.

The 2-bed cottage is located in Storsätern, Grövelsjöfjällen right next to the river Grövlan. On the farm, there is also a 3-bed cottage for rent and the host couple Björn and Hanna also live there. The cottage includes kitchen, dining area, sleeping alcove, armchairs and bathroom with shower. The cottage is about 22 square meters and max 2 people (regardless of age). The cottage is booked for at least three nights and bed linen and towels are included. Please contact us if your calendar shows fewer than 3 consecutive nights to book.

A 5 min walk will take you to the 10 km longitudinal track and 2 km away you can go downhill at the family-friendly Lövåsliften. Take a hot sauna or relax on the large west facing terrace with stunning evening sun and mountain views after a lovely day out in the mountain nature.

Den här mysiga och djurfri stugan ( 30kvm) ligger i Sågliden intill Grövelsjöfjällen och nära norska gränsen. Stugan ligger mitt i lugna och tysta skogen med alpackor som närmaste granne. Här kan du koppla av och har bara naturen omkring dig. Det är nära till längdspår , alpina backar som Grövelfjäll ( inom några kilometer) och Idre fjäll ( 3,5 mil) , skoterspår och fjällvandring. Ett litet mataffär finns i Storsätern ca. 6 km bort.

Cross-country trails around the corner and short distance to downhill skiing, hiking trails, mountain bakery, tourist station and grocery store, etc. In this cabin there is everything needed to be able to enjoy between daily adventures in nature, such as sauna and hot tub as well as fireplace.

Secluded Cottage - Close to Village; Easy Life Close to Nature

Wonderful, authentic and very functional cabin that has everything you need. Dry wood (the pine smells awesome), good wood processing equipment, well functional and intuitive stoves (if you have experience of wood fired stoves, and if you don’t there are good descriptions) made it easy to stay warm and dry, even in -20oC. I arrived with -10 and had the cabin at +24oC in just a few hours. The cabin can get too hot quickly, so use the firewood with care. I only used the wood fired stove for cooking during the week I stayed so I can’t comment on the gas stove. In early February, the sun was a bit too low to supply my computer with much power (only a couple hours worth each day). 5G connectivity via Telia made internet smooth though. Bring a head lamp and working gloves (and candles, toilet paper and matches). The owner of the friendly reindeer in the pen let me know they love ”knäckebröd” (Leksands preffered…).

I worked remotely for a month and Stefan's home was perfect for this. Good desk (sitting and standing), good monitor, lots of space, nice bathroom, sauna and fast internet. 5 minutes away from the ski pistes. I really enjoyee my stay here! Stefan is responsive and a good host.

We felt very comfortable and enjoyed the evenings by the fireplace very much. The vacation home has everything you need. Henrik and Tess were always available, and they responded very quickly to any questions. We had a lovely time staying at the property, experienced and saw some lovely events and impressions, • Reindeer • Moose • Aurora It is a nice quiet environment. Right in the Foskros there is a great toboggan run for young and old. Would definitely recommend the vacation home and would come back any time. Thanks again.

Absolutely wonderful cottage that matches the description very well. We had 10 people and everyone felt like we had plenty of room. The cottage is spacious with many bedrooms and lovely living rooms. Very nice in combined kitchen, dining area and living room overlooking peaceful nature. Great with several bathrooms, sauna and patio. Possibility for charging an electric car. Very good host. Highly recommended and we would love to come back.
