The space
Pampelonne Bay beckons in the distance from this rustic-chic Provençal-inspired villa in the hills above Saint-Tropez. Palm and cypress trees tower over the sloping tiled roof, stone walls, and shaded terraces, while inside beamed ceilings and stone floors are set off by elegant pieces like pastel area rugs. The cobblestone streets and waterfront cafes of Saint-Tropez are a 5-minute drive away.
Shallow steps and an allee of cypress lead from the villa to a sunny terrace with loungers and a swimming pool. There’s also a charcoal-burning barbecue, al-fresco dining for 10, an outdoor wet bar, and a shaded sitting area just off the house. A private gym makes it easy to keep up with your routine, and a TV and Wi-Fi make it easy to keep up with your shows and feeds while on holiday.
This vacation rental boasts 4,300 square feet of living space, centered on a living room with a beamed ceiling and a slide-away glass wall that opens to the outdoor sitting area. Sofas and chairs in pearl gray and pale coral have a refined feel, and a graceful archway leads to a formal dining room with seating for 10 and a fully equipped kitchen with a breakfast bar.
There are five bedrooms in the main house of this luxury property and one in a separate guest house; all six have en-suite bathrooms. The main house has one bedroom with a queen bed, three bedrooms with double beds, and one bedroom with two twin beds. The guest house has a king bed as well as a kitchenette, making it ideal for in-laws traveling with the family or a couple wanting honeymoon-style privacy.
The villa is 5 minutes from Bouillabaisse Beach, a relatively quiet stretch of sand lined with restaurants that will rent you loungers and umbrellas. It’s also a 5-minute drive from Saint-Tropez, a former fishing village that’s become one of the jet-set’s favorite resorts in France but hasn’t lost the historic charm of its winding streets.
