The space
Ocean views and warm breezes are in abundance at this regal, comfortable home near San José del Cabo. Touches of colonial Spanish style run throughout, with arched corridors, grand oak doors, and flagstone walls, complete with luxury mod cons. Guests can slip into the pool, or take stock of an active day on a sunlit recliner, with beaches, shorefront bars, and a galaxy of dining spots nearby.

After a night spent admiring the lights of boats at sea from Hacienda Sofia’s ample terrace, awaken to a relaxed, reviving breakfast under the exterior sun roof. Kick off an early barbecue, before planning a beach trip or boat outing in the golden afternoon. As evening falls, guests can gather in the lamp-lit and mirror-clad dining room to share a laid-back, Mexican-inspired dinner. Take time away from it all in the TV and media room, before freshening up in the spacious, marble-clad bathrooms. The glowing fire pit is a favorite spot to unwind at the end of the night, taking in the stars peeking through the dusky sky.

Hacienda Sofia offers a huge range of daytrip and activity options, on land and sea. Several top-tier golf courses are moments away, while whale cruises and coastline tours await near. Get in touch with the countryside with energetic, guided mountain bike outings, or make a visit to welcoming glass-blowing workshops or tequila distilleries for a taste of local craftsmanship. A selection of diverse restaurants await you in the nearby town every night.
