Beachfront holiday rentals in Makris Gialos Beach

Villa Anna commands a fantastic position. A very short walk (literally at the end of the driveway) to the beautiful beach and a number of brilliant tavernas. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay, offering privacy and luxury. The villa was immaculate, with spectacular views. Excellent sun loungers and various areas to enjoy the sun, or seek out some shade, we were very comfortable and happy. A bedding and towel change mid week was welcome. Lovely bathroom/shower rooms, with plenty of hot water. Some well stocked local supermarkets within easy walking distance, but be prepared for the steep hill to one of them. Ample parking at the villa, there are quite a few steps up to reach the villa which is above/behind Villa Paloma, which has a sign on the beachfront road.

Ho soggiornato 2 settimane, è una casa incantevole, con ogni confort, e tante anche inaspettate! È un alloggio accogliente , sembra davvero di essere a casa propria. La parte esterna è, secondo me, il cuore di tutto l'appartamento: ampio, comodo, con un divanetto , sedie e tavolini da esterno ed un divano che all occorrenza è un vero e proprio letto....la sera, solitamente ventilata è il posto ideale per rilassarsi dopo una giornata in giro per le spiagge della splendida Cefalonia. La casa è situata in un posto strategico della piccola Poros, tutto è a portata di mano, dalle spiagge, ai ristorantini, al centro.È un posto che mi è piaciuto davvero tanto! Vana è un host gentile, premurosa e presente, pronta a soddisfare e a risolvere nell' immediato qualsiasi dubbio o richiesta. Lo consiglierei a chiunque volesse trascorrere le vacanze in un ambiente al top!

North Paradise is incredible. First the apartment - spotlessly clean, comfortable, quiet, hot water, strong WiFi and the most stunning view from the balcony. Walking distance - 10 mins to lovely beach and tavernas. But what really makes this place outstanding is your host Dina. She fills the fridge before you arrive. The kitchen cupboards are filled with every appliance you may wish for. Dina will help you hire cars, book boat trips and generally do anything for you. I cannot rate North Paradise highly enough. If you want peace and quiet, a gorgeous beach and taverna within a 5 minute walk then this is for you. You will get the warmest Kefalonian welcome.

The house is right next to a tiny beach with deck chairs. There's a kayak for guests to use for free, too. Georgios is very nice and helpful.

Die Wohnung entspricht den Angaben und den Fotos. Mirka ist sehr freundlich und hat uns gute Tipps gegeben. Die Wohnung ist einfach gehalten, war für unsere Zwecke aber ausreichend und sehr sauber. Einzig die Küchenausstattung hätte etwas besser sein können. Grundsätzlich hatten wir einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt. Agia Effimia war ein perfekter Ausgangsort, um die Insel zu erkunden.

We really enjoyed our stay at the bungalow, it was in a good location within walking distance of a supermarket and restaurants at Porto harbour. The house had everything we needed and the pool was a great addition as it was very hot! We hired a boat from George which was a fabulous day. We would definitely stay again and would highly recommend.

The apparent is beautiful, so clean and nicely decorated, the bed is comfy anf the facilities are brand new. The kitchen is well equipped and the view is beautiful. Great location, just perfect for reaching all the island attractios. Memi and her mother are wonderful hosts and helped us with anything we needed. We had a wonderful stay, I recommend this appartment very much!

Το διαμέρισμα είναι σε πολύ καλό σημείο μέσα στη πόλη είναι τα πάντα δίπλα και μπορείς να βγεις το βράδυ με τα πόδια και δεν χρειαζρυε αυτοκίνητο .Η ιδιοκτήτρια ήταν πολύ ευγενική μας εξυπηρετούσε σε όλα !!! Όποτε πήραμε τηλεφωνο αμέσως απαντούσε και μας βοηθούσε σε ότι θέλαμε !! Μου έδωσε και μια πολύ ωραία μαρμελάδα που είχε φτιάξει πραγματικά υπέροχη Κυρία !! Θα ήθελα να επισκεφτώ ξανά αυτό το διαμέρισμα !!!

This was an amazing place and phenomenal hosts! Connie and Andy were flexible, accommodating, had great communication, and were super helpful! We were greeted by Andy who was waiting to show us to the place so we knew exactly where it was. He greeted us with some goodies which were delicious and a sweet gesture. He showed us around the place and checked in with us to make sure we were good throughout our stay. Beautiful view of the ocean. Clean pool and place. Had everything we could ask for and more! Can walk to the local market, cafes, and a great restaurants. Strongly recommend staying here!!!

This was the perfect location to explore the island of Kefalonia from. The accommodations were spacious, clean and both decks had fabulous views of the sea. It is located in a quite location with comfortable beds and it was stocked with all the necessities we required. The host was easy to communicate with and very punctual in filling any requests. Mrs. Sophia was lovely and kept the unit very clean for us.

This is the second time we’ve stayed in the Chloe villa and it didn’t disappoint! It’s such a beautiful location with an amazing sea view to watch the sunrise. The pool is directly below and the sea over the road which is perfect for early morning swims. Especially due to the changing temperatures in the water where salt meets fresh and there are warm spots and cold spots. It’s a short pebble beach so water shoes (or flippers in my daughter’s case) make getting in and out of the water much easier. Steve was a brilliant host! Nothing was too much trouble. Really responsive and because we had a late flight extended our checkout time until 6pm which meant we could enjoy a full last day. The apartment is equipped with everything you need, including some starter items for your arrival, such as biscuits, jam, milk, butter… and wine! There is a coffee machine, toasty maker & everything else you may need (incl. washing machine and dishwasher) A 20 min coast walk straight to Sami!

We had a fantastic stay at Stella di Mare, the hosts are very welcoming and warm. It has a unique location with everything you could expect from a vacation housing. The only downside is that the road to get to the building is narrow and steep. Otherwise everything is perfect.

Great communications with clear arrangements for meeting us on arrival, after the journey from the airport. Good local restaurants and a supermarket/ bakery 5 minutes walk. Also 5 minutes walk from the underground lakes. 1.5km from Sami on foot - you can stroll there and back for a huge choice of bars, shops and restaurants. The apartment itself was great. Welcome wine, juice and water in the fridge and 4 coffee pods with UHT creams. Butter and jam portions also in the fridge. Decent parking around the apartment as well. I would highly recommend. Great for two - we had our son on the sofa bed, so can accommodate 4. If you see Piggy the Dog, say hello. He had the uncanny ability to walk us to the nearest restaurant where he then enjoyed the leftovers.

Evgenia was very friendly and helpful throughout the whole trip. Check-in/out was very easy and she helped us book a transfer back to the airport which was very appreciated. The room was clean and tidy. Beautiful location with stunning views, only a short walk down to the beach, however a hire car is necessary to fully explore the island - not much is accessible on foot! We had a lovely holiday, thank you Evgenia :)

Villa Bambola is everything you would hope for in a holiday destination, beautiful accommodation, well appointed, fantastic outdoor facilities, including large terrace, infinity pool, loungers, barbeque and outdoor dining, all with wonderful views and sunsets. Neil provided ice cold bottled water, wine, fruit and charcoal for the BBQ on arrival. There are numerous restaurants and mini markets near by. We loved Ionian View and Chefolonia. Our favourite beach was Agios Thomas which is a 7 minute drive with parking at the beach, along with a lovely beach side taverna. The turtles of Agostoli harbour were an added delight. Fiskardo, while a 90 minute drive is worth the visit. We will definitely be back, Thanks Neil and Alexandra for a lovely stay !

Wir haben uns bei Evanthia sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Lage ist genial und wir haben gute Tipps zu Stränden erhalten. Trotz unserer späten Ankunft um 22:00 Uhr konnten wir ohne Zeitverlust die Wohnung beziehen. Der Parkplatz am Haus ist optimal – völlig stressfrei. Die Wohnung war sauber und ordentlich, und alle zwei Tage wurden die Bettwäsche und die Handtücher ausgetauscht. Auch den Restmüll hat Mama entsorgt. Da es keine unmittelbaren Nachmieter gab, konnten wir am letzten Tag noch im Quartier bleiben und frisch geduscht unseren späten Rückflug um 23:00 Uhr antreten. Das hat uns einen vollwertigen Urlaubstag geschenkt. Insgesamt kann ich die Unterkunft sehr empfehlen.

Loved our stay! Wonderfully located and beautiful view of the water from the Airbnb. Super close to Myrtos beach and many other incredible beaches. Close to an incredible bakery and other restaurants. We also rented a boat for the day in town. The loft was as described and everything we expected. Would def be back. The area is lovely and peaceful.

Wir haben eine Woche in dieser wundervollen Unterkunft verbracht. Schon vorab haben wir hilfreiche Infos bekommen und wurden bei der Ankunft herzlich empfangen und uns wurde alles super erklärt und gezeigt. Die Ausstattung und das Zimmer waren in einem top Zustand, sehr sauber und gepflegt und es war alles vorhanden was man für einen erholsamen Urlaub gebraucht hat. Der Müll wurde regelmäßig geleert und Bettwäsche und Handtücher 2 mal gewechselt sowie gefegt etc. was fast schon Hotelfeeling hatte und uns sehr gut gefallen hat. Die Lage ist top mit wundervollem Meerblick und einem tollen Sonnenaufgang. Strände in der Umgebung sind sehr schön mit kristallklarem Wasser. Und auch das Restaurant von Ivana & Dionisis direkt nebenan war wirklich empfehlenswert, sehr lecker, und typisch griechisch. Uns hat es hier super gefallen, wir würden es jederzeit wieder buchen und können es nur wärmstens empfehlen für einen Urlaub!

This is the second time we have stayed here and it was just as we remembered. It really is a lovely apartment with everything you need to make your stay comfortable. Panos communicated with us a few times before we arrived and Dionysia was there to meet us when we arrived and she was always on hand if help was needed. For us Poros is a great location to relax in and it has a great selection of restaurants. The “Flour and Water” cafe and bakery is well worth a mention if you want a great Cappuccino . All in all a lovely holiday and would definitely recommend.

We spent 5 nights at the apartment and it was perfect. Everything was spotlessly clean, the bed was comfortable and the shower pressure was great. The garden around the apartment is beautiful, full of flowers and plants to enjoy from your balcony. The view from the balcony is amazing, we loved waking up and watching the water with a coffee. Poros is quiet and peaceful, surrounded by mountains and the swimming is great from the beach. The location is also great, you can walk straight down to the beach. We didn't meet Despina in person but she was lovely over messenges and helped us out with recommendations and anything we needed. We can't fault our stay and everything was perfect, we really hope to visit again in the near future!

What a pleasure to meet Mitsi and her parents they were lovely and made us very welcome. We loved sitting outside and listening to the waves, it was so peaceful and just what we needed. Sunrise over the sea was particularly beautiful so to sit and watch it with a coffee from the comfort of the porch was perfect. Accommodation was well equipped and it was great to get new towels halfway through our stay. Location was fab only a short walk to amenities, restaurants and main square where you could book excursions or take the local bus. Definitely a place to unwind.

We can definately recommend the studio, it was clean and well equipped. Situated in easy reach of resturants, beaches and handy pool bar just few strides away. As temperatures hit 36C most days we were there, so we were particularly glad of the aircon. Panagis was really helpful and friendly meeting us when we arrived.
