"Driftwood, your Hebridean escape by the sea"

JulieRating, 5 stars6 days ago
This is an amazing house and location. The views are truly magnificent and with visiting sheep and lambs. Very peaceful sitting outside on the decking with a glass of wine or in the house. Dolina has thought of everything and we had a lovely stay. Some great places to visit nearby; Reef beach, Uig sands and would highly recommend dinner at Sands restaurant. Venture out further afield, lots to discover…we went from the North to the south of both Isles….amazing beaches to discover; Luskentyre, Seilebost. A walk to the ‘stacks’ recommended and great photos. The Callanish stones a good visit. Visiting weaving sheds and the Eagle observatory recommended and we bought some tweed to remind us of our lovely visit and special memories.

The Old School at Luskentyre Lodge

TracyRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Norman and Leona are very friendly and great hosts. The cottage was cosy clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location is looking out to the most beautiful beach and scenery. 5min walk to beach. If you like peace and tranquility this is the place to stay. It's location is ideal to travel to other parts of the island. Norman and Leona are around if you need help with anything but they do not intrude on your privacy. I would definitely recommend to stay here. Thank you Norman and Leona we had an amazing holiday.

Crowlista Cottage

The cottage was beautiful, in an area that was as lovely as the photos. Comfortably furnished with it’s own gated garden, we loved the kitchen with the cooker, microwave and large fridge freezer. Warm and cosy, it was in pristine condition, great shower too!

Airigh nam Fiadh

We had a truly wonderful stay at Ann’s place—five stars all around! Ann went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, even making sure the couch bed was all set up for our two children since we were arriving later in the evening. We were especially touched by the thoughtful welcome provisions—fresh local meats, breads, desserts and milk—all absolutely delicious. Both the main bed and the couch bed were incredibly comfortable, with warm, cozy linens that made us feel right at home. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to cook meals, and clean-up was quick and easy. Instructions for using the house and checking in and out were clear and straightforward, making the whole experience stress-free. Ann was extremely accommodating, and the little cabin is perched higher up in a peaceful, scenic spot surrounded by lovely pastures. The kids and I especially enjoyed watching the sheep in the nearby fields. We highly recommend staying here and would love to come back!

Taigh Dholol

We had a lovely stay at Christina's place. The views are beautiful, and the house had everything we needed. It was quiet and peaceful and we slept very well. Christina was very helpful and responsive throughout. Threre are great walks in the neighbourhood and Stornoway is less than an hour away. We saw loads of rabbits, and on the day we left, there were deer right outside the village. All in all a wonderful place. Future guests might want to be aware that there is little mobile coverage inside the house. We also had no WiFi for the first few days, although that was thankfully fixed sooner than expected. Finally, if light affects you when sleeping, bring a sleeping mask, as there are no blackout blinds and the days are long in the Hebrides!

Blackhouse Bothies - Seaspray Bothy

TinaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
The view was absolutely breathtaking and exactly as shown in the pictures. The bed was large and comfortable, with a spacious duvet that made it feel even cozier. We made use of the fireplace, but the room was warm enough even without it. Cooking outdoors was a great experience and turned out really well. The hosts were always available and communicative, which made planning smooth for both sides. They warmly welcomed every guest, making us feel right at home.

It’s a lovely place in the quiet North Skye. The staff at reception is very helpful and the place is tidy and convenient, a nice place to be back after travelling all day!
