Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Marathon County

After staying at Maddie's place, I went back through the listing to see what it was rated -- and was surprised it wasn't 5-star by other reviewers. I've stayed in dozens of Airbnb properties - and this one was a winner. Clean, quiet, private, and beautiful. It was the perfect place for my husband and dog to get a bit of R&R. We took a few walks, used several of the amenities in the kitchen area, and appreciated the water pressure and temperature for the shower. And the view alone was worth 5-stars.

The Chouse was an amazing space. We had an extended stay here and it was perfect for our needs. It was a great location for our family in Wausau and a perfect place to bring the grandkids over for the day. We had room to play games and do crafts. They loved the air hockey and Pac-Man games. We had several tournaments. We would highly recommended this place for a family gathering.

This place was perfect for our needs, quaint, simple, and very clean! The sun porch was perfect for sitting while kids were still sleeping. We will definitely try to book again when we come back to town.

This was my second stay here with my pups and enjoyed every minute of it. The place is quiet, and peaceful with beautiful surroundings and absolutely gorgeous interior and amenities. Perfectly what I needed! The host is very responsive and accommodating - much appreciated!

This is a diamond in the rough! Place is set up perfectly. Nick was super responsive with any answers! For what we paid it was worth every penny. The only draw back was the noise of cars echoing off the buildings, nothing the host can do about it, but honestly nothing that would stop me from going back here again and again!! Hopefully bringing the whole family next time!!

We were in Wausau for a baseball tournament and wanted a private place for the kids to rest before the tournament the next morning. From booking to arriving everything was smooth and easy. I had to ask the day before to bring our grandson because when we booked it was only the 3 of us. There was no problem with the adjustment. We enjoyed the yard while there and made pizza over the fire. They had a grate to cook on over the fire as well as roasting sticks for hot dogs, s’mores and more. Although our time at the site was short we enjoyed ourselves.

Had to be in town for a few days of appointments. It's quite a drive for us, so I decided to book an AirBNB. I booked Kathleens place after learning that my go to BNB was occupied during the time that we needed. Kathleens place will just have to go on my list of BNB options in the area. The place was more than I even expected... I don't think the listing does the space justice. I will admit that if you are after brand new, squeaky clean, sterile conditions this might not be the place for you. It was absolutely clean in every way that mattered but had a vintage cabin charm that you just cannot get with "sterile" We felt right at home, and I would not have it any other way. I was able to DoorDash some groceries and make pancakes in the morning! I forgot a couple things but found that the things I needed had already been left in the kitchen. What hotel could we have done that at? Kathleens place is a great example of what I love about AirBNB. Would recommend this stay to anyone.

Holly cow! What a great flat! This apartment features everything you need for a pleasant and peaceful getaway. We'll maintained and super affordable for small groups. Would highly recommend this place to others! Super responsive host! Thanks for a wonderful stay.

Beautiful loft in downtown. Great location, we were able to walk to everything. Very clean.

Great little unit with everything as-described! Comfortable bed, quality linens, and recent/modern appliances & furnishings made it easy to relax when not out exploring the area.
