Holiday rentals in Matavera Tapere

Joe and Odette have a charming place set in beautiful gardens with goats and friendly cats and of course hens and chickens and roosters entertaining us. The cottage is very comfortable in a lovely location with the bonus of a large deck to sit on and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Joe and Odette are the most charming, friendly, thoughtful and accommodating hosts. I would definitely stay again. It is like staying with family.

Excellent accommodation in Matavera, Cook Islands Spacious with plenty of room for 4 adults. We booked the top floor which had 3 big bedrooms, and 3 bathrooms 2 of which were ensuite bathrooms Open plan living area with lots of room to entertain. Part of the shower door in the 3rd bathroom was missing, we were advised on arrival, luckily there were 2 other bathrooms to use! Linen was excellent and the home was very clean and tidy. The view from the expansive deck overlooking the beach was excellent and we were lucky to stay in whale season so we saw whales on a daily basis which was great! Less than 100m walk to local shop which supplies all you would need. Excellent burger joint next door also! Can't swim on beach directly outside the property, but the swimming beach is not far down the road. Staff were friendly. Would book again!

Odette and Joe are lovely warm hosts who go out of their ways to make your stay comfortable and welcoming. The location is peaceful and picturesque, a 5 minute walk from a very good bakery/coffee shop, and 30 mins from Muri Beach (it's more convenient to have a car or bike but they are both walkable), and we had a very nice stay.

We stayed here for 4 days and we really enjoyed being in your home. The beds were so comfortable and the rooms really spacious. Thank you for allowing us to check in early and check out late I really appreciated that. Rachel and Avoca I want to thank you both for being kind and awesome hosts. This was home away from home and I highly recommend this place to any families who are looking for a comfy place to come hang out when you are done at the beach. Kimberly’s place was beautiful and private. The place was very well equipped, extremely clean and close by to the restaurants in Muri. Not quite walking distance though, would recommend having a car when you stay here. Host was friendly and replied quickly. Thanks for a great stay :)

Modern, well designed little spot tucked away from the main road - we loved our stay and super convenient to have the Cook Islands Coffee Company (look for the orange cone on Sundays, Weds, and Fridays) and the grocery so close at hand. A short drive into Muri too. All the windows are screened which means you can get the breeze without the mozzies, beds were comfy, kitchen had everything you need

Wonderful place, very clean and tidy with plenty of space inside and outside. Lovely lush trees and plants all around the house. And a lovely bakery in a 5min walk distance! Eddie was a very nice and very helpful host. We loved this place so much and will come back next time we visit Rarotonga.

Martha and John were exceptional hosts who met our every need and ensured our stay was wonderful in their beautiful home from offering a flexible check-in to providing fresh local produce. Great place for family to stay. Close to the Muri markets and a perfect retreat for nature lovers with beautiful views of the mountains. Highly recommend and we will definitely be back.
