Revitalizing a 106-year-old historic inn and its storehouse: Kominoya Mitsuhama Inn, 188 m² with Japanese moss garden and semi-open-air bath (limited to one group per day)
┏━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┓ ◆ Limited to one group per day/private ~ long-established ryokan and warehouse experience-style stay ◆ ┗━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┛ ■ Location, History, Features ■ This is a 106-year-old long-established ryokan with a restaurant (formerly the Kanaga Ryokan) in Matsuyama/Miyutsuhama, a port town in Dogo. It is surrounded by four white-walled storehouses built in the Edo period and four gardens. It has been gradually renovated and revitalized (currently in the process of revitalization), including the white plaster walls and natural Kenji-ji bamboo fences.Originally an old house opened as an almost 100% inbound accommodation. We are conducting a semi open-air bath in the interior of the warehouse and renovation work centered around the water. ■ Soothing moss garden ■ There are three moss gardens: the front garden, the middle garden, and the back garden. Well water flows everywhere, including through the water fountains, the ladles, the deer scarecrows, the stream between the stepping stones, and the pond. The pond is home to koi, goldfish, medaka, tanago, and river shrimp, and is a biotope space visited by wild birds. ■ Chick-in lounge (cafe/bar space), souvenir corner ■ You can drink authentic cocktails on the first floor of the main building. There is a souvenir corner with imported interior goods, accessories, natural stone, and other items from Japan, Bali, and other overseas locations.

A house overlooking the Seto Inland Sea
The ultimate hideaway to escape the noisy, busy city, and spend time quietly with family, loved ones, and close friends, just watching the sea. I created this accommodation because I wish there was a place like this. ☆This is not a hotel. We want you to think about how you want to spend your time. On sunny days, enjoy morning coffee on the large wooden deck. In the cold winter, warm up with a wood stove, and make and eat a delicious meal yourself. Play your favorite music, and read surrounded by books lining the walls. Take a walk to Gero Station while catching a glimpse of life in Gero. Fishing at sea, picking azaleas, bamboo shoots, and wild potatoes in the mountains, and eating them yourself. Long stays are recommended. Based at Shimonada Cabin, it is about an hour's drive to Matsuyama City. 2.5 hours to Shimanto River. 3 hours to Shikoku Karst. Shopping can be done in Iyo City or Nagahama Town, or you can buy from local fishmongers and greengrocers and cook for yourself. Of course, you can also eat at a nearby restaurant if you book. Anyway, I want you to relax at Shimonada Cabin. One night is too wasteful. I recommend at least 2 days. It is a place that can be enjoyed in good weather or bad.

8-minute walk to Dogo Onsen | Right in front of Dogo Park | Stay in a cozy 6-tatami Japanese-style room as if you were at home
[The feelings I put into this room] Nice to meet you. I'm Kei, your host. When creating this room, the main thing I thought about was, "For those who have come to Japan, I wanted to create a room where people could experience even a little bit of Japanese culture." Sleeping on a futon that you have spread out on the tatami mat yourself. Relaxing on cushions around a low table. It's a lifestyle that is second nature to Japanese people, and that's why I want you to experience it while traveling. To make your stay as comfortable as possible, the kitchen wallpaper, sink panel, We replaced the floor around the entrance, one tile at a time, with our own hands. The floor at the entrance is, in keeping with the location near Dogo Onsen, We have chosen a pattern inspired by the changing rooms of old-fashioned public baths. When traveling with small children, the mother is often the one who works the hardest. So, aiming for a room where women in particular can breathe a sigh of relief, We are also gradually improving the amenities. A room where you can relax while keeping the Japanese atmosphere of Dogo Onsen in your heart. We hope you enjoy a "home-like stay" that is a bit different from a hotel.
