I really liked this apartment for the two nights I stayed there. Everything was as listed. Magdalena was kind, sweet and was very easy to talk. I’m sure to book another stay whenever I’m visiting Dar again. Keep up the excellent work:)

The living room was spacious, and I liked the stylish and calm atmosphere.The bedroom was also clean and there was plenty of storage.The response was always quick, and I had a pleasant stay.

I had an amazing stay at Raphael’s place! It’s easily one of the best Airbnbs I have ever been to in Africa. The apartment is fully equipped with everything you need — a gas stove for quick and easy cooking, a washing machine at your fingertips, and fast, reliable Wi-Fi. What really stood out was the hot water — a rare find in many Tanzanian Airbnbs! With just a simple switch, you can enjoy the bath of a lifetime. The location is perfect, right next to the biggest university in Tanzania, making it super convenient. The space is clean, cozy, and thoughtfully designed. Raphael is a fantastic host — responsive, friendly, and helpful. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and a touch of luxury during their stay!

Scolla’s apartment is a beautiful stay in Dar! A few meters away from the Indian Ocean which breathtaking views from the rooftop. And the co-host Richard was super amazing! Always soo helpful and this added to the comfort of our stay. I definitely recommend this apartment to anyone going to Dar!

Really an exceptional find - and personage - which I feel very lucky to have stumbled upon thanks to Airbnb search options. Incredibly reasonable - a third of the basic price of a well-known hotel a short walk away - & local & interesting vibe, too. Above all this, I was honoured by an elder who visited: literally stood outside my (Nai's!) door, ready to say hello: a very old (perhaps ninety or even 100!) Leopard Tortoise, the fourth largest on earth. Search 'Leopard Tortoise Elder Visits Unexpectedly' on a well known video site & you can 'meet & greet' he/she/it yourself... perhaps it will do you the honour of your own visit! I loved the nightly footie-ball game (with Masaai referees, lolling, impeccably cool, on the touchline) too... lots to like. Slightly tiny bathroom to manoeuvre in but at this price-point not a biggie, unlike unexpected elders & fantastic beach vibe... Enjoy!

Mr Colm is a super host, because he went out of his way to come and pick me up from the hotel, where I stayed after getting lost to get to his place. Mr Colm paid for half of the hotel bill, and took me straight to my booked studio flat at his place.

It was special and wonderful place to stay,I had great time although salha was not in the country at the time of my visit but she organised everything for me to have a good stay through her sister samirah,everything was in place and even recommended some of my friends and family to use this place. Great and so happy during my visit,security is 100% and you don't have to worry about anything. Thanks salha and samirah for allowing me to use your place.

My husband and I were visiting Tanzania for the first time and Lilian was absolutely helpful with how to get around town. She recommended a very professional Taxi service to pick us up from the airport (there is also Bolt and Uber if you prefer). We got there pretty late but we were helped to order in dinner. Her studio is in a central location with places to shop and galavant. My husband and I 100% recommend and will definitely be coming back.

I enjoyed my 4 nights stay. The host was very informative which is always a plus. Another hidden gem that's great to stay at, will certainly be back in the future.

Spacious, beautiful, clean, great balcony view…

Esther was such a lovely host—kind, proactive, and incredibly responsive. She took the time to walk us through everything, which made our stay smooth and welcoming. The place itself was beautiful and perfect for our time in Dar es Salaam. I would absolutely come back again. She was so helpful throughout our stay!

We had a great time. The communication was super easy and quick and the place looks exactly like it does on the pictures. The neighborhood is very conveniently located and although it’s a lively neighborhood the apartment is very quiet! Would absolutely recommend to stay there!

I felt like at my own home, peaceful cooking and eating the meals I like and sleeping well with rooms that are easy to cool with air conditioner . I did not feel the heat waves of Dar es Salaam city while relaxing in the well maintained living room.

Emmanuel was an outstanding host and we loved this apartment. I was really pleased with the location. It is a very quick walk to the ferry and several interesting neighborhoods with restaurants I enjoyed. The apartment also has a washing machine and a clothesline on the balcony - in fact, the balcony was one of my favorite parts of the apartment. Emmanuel is very responsive, personable, and works right in the area. When I asked if I might be able to drop my bag off before check-in he met me early, locked my bag in one of the rooms while the cleaning lady worked, and showed me the place. Either he or the gentleman who helps him at the building was always around if I needed anything. The apartment was big, well appointed, and a nice place to just relax. The bed was comfortable, everything in the apartment worked and was clean. I will recommend Emmanuel's place to any friends who are visiting Dar and if I am in Dar again I will book his place. I recommend highly.
