House holiday rentals in McDowell County

Great location and the pool and fire pit were the perfect amenities to end a day of riding! The host was very responsive and made planning our trip, getting trail passes, check in, and check out seamless. We couldn’t find any extra supplies at the house (ie paper towels, trash bags, etc.) so recommend bringing some of the day to day basics with you. Would definitely recommend to others!

This place is great for a large group it has everything we you could possibly need and a few extras! Definitely worth the price! close to some outlaw trails and spearhead. Andrew quickly responded every time I would message super friendly! Definitely booking again next time we’re back !

This place exceeded our expectations. It came with more amenities than I've ever had at a cabin. It was clean, the linens smelled freshly washed, floors and surfaces were clean. Randy and his crew were super helpful and friendly, letting us know where to go to find trails to ride. The store is on site and is stocked with all the things you'll need. Gas is on site as well. I can't say enough good about this place! We will definitely stay again if we plan on coming to this area.

Host was easy to work with and responsive. If you are looking for a place to stay to ride the HMT, this is it. Well set up house, wash station, plenty of parking for trailers, easy access to almost all of the trail systems and access to the Outlaw trails. And a pool to relax in after a day riding! This will be our go to place for HMT trips!

Debbie was so helpful and responsive at check in and throughout our stay. So grateful to have a great space for our family while visiting other family in the area. Thanks again and hope to stay when we come again next time.

For large accommodations this is the place to go. Couple of local gems for restaurants that had amazing food. For our large group of 18 including 7 SXS we had plenty of room in the house and parking. Would definitely recommend and we will probably re-book!

Great place to stay! There were 6 beds and a couch, plenty of room for our crew of HMT riders. Located right at the edge of Welch. We were able to ride off in different directions to hit some iconic landmarks like Riders Paradise, Beer Can Alley, Wilmore Dam, The View, etc... The house was nice and clean. Well equipped for us to make our own meals but also close to some local restaurants. A nice sized gravel lot with parking for at least 4 trucks and trailers. If you've got a big truck you're best off to back down Lake Dr. into the parking area. A firepit in the graveled lot area with room for everyone to sit around it. A covered porch sit under if its raining. Great place to stay for HMT trail riders.

All the amenities like home , work trip was a close commute. Got great rest ! Host was very responsive and kind . Would highly recommend !!

This was our first stay at Covel Cabin, and it was a blast. Shelby was so responsive and available at all times for any of our crazy questions. Our trip was not long after the horrible storm but Shelby and Kam made sure the yard and house were cleaned up very nice prior to our arrival. The picture wall, in the game room is a great plus! The new home renovations were to die for😍 and always a plus they are dog friendly. We will most definitely be back to Covel Cabin 🏔️

This is definitely a place I will visit again! Beautiful piece of property! The attention to detail is just the right touch! No stone left unturned when this cabin was put together! Beyond clean and refreshing inside. Amazing outdoor hangout spaces. Trail access less than a minute away. Gas and Dollar General near by for quick easy stops.

The only thing was the train was like 100 yards across the road and blew it horn every time it came through at night but overall great location and easy parking

Our family loved staying here! The property is beautiful. Maybe we’ll come back for a family reunion!

This place was wonderful. There are a ton of beds and a really nice blackstone in the kitchen. The outdoor shower and ATV wash station were a nice bonus. Not far from the Warrior Trails but you can get to Pinnacle Creek, Pochontas, and Indian Ridge as well. Would definitely stay here again.

Great place to stay, fit our group of 8 perfectly with plenty of room. The house is in a great location with Indian ridge, pinnacle creek & Pocahontas trail heads just a short road ride away. We will definitely be back soon.
