Beachfront holiday rentals in Mendocino County

My sister and I stayed at this hotel for 2 night and had a truly great experience. The room was clean, cozy, and thoughtfully arranged. We especially appreciated the quiet atmosphere and beautiful view. The staff were incredibly welcoming and professional — they made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. Everything was smooth and well-organized. The breakfast was fresh, tasty, and nicely presented — a lovely way to start the day. Thank you for making our stay so comfortable. We would definitely come back and recommend this place to others!

This home had amazing views and was so peaceful and private! Even though it’s very close to the main home the fencing and layout made it feel very private. The home was clean and cozy. Beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was stocked with all the basic necessities we would need for cooking. My daughter has been studying birds in her high school class and we had so much fun watching birds and listening to their calls from the hot tub while we watch the ocean waves. We were bummed we forgot our binoculars but were happy to see there was even binoculars available for us to use! Eva was very helpful providing recommendations to local outings and easy directions to walk to the nearby beach. We would stay here again!

Amazing views, clean, cozy. Hot tub was the best. Comfy bed and we had everything we needed. This is a cottage and it looks like maybe someone lives in the main house but we didn’t see anyone. It was 6 minutes from down town Gualala. Definitely going back, it’s perfect for two people.

It’s an amazing location. I was here for only 1 (short) night 2 months prior and had to come back and spend more time. Wonderful home made breakfast included and Sally & Sonny are so warm. Dinner at the Abalone Pub in nearby Westport was yummy and fun. My favorite airBNB of the year!

We enjoyed our restful time at this lovely cabin tucked away behind beautiful scenery! Walking along the river was our favorite! Definitely enjoyed this off the grid experience (with a little added off-roading involved to get to the cabin). A great experience, super friendly hosts, and fun to spend our honeymoon here!

The Crow’s Nest was such a memorable stay, and my family is already asking to go back. The views are incredible and we fell asleep every night to the sound of the waves. It was like camping (because it is in a campground) but clean, with a real shower and kitchen, and much warmer! We loved being able to walk down the hill to the beach or to town for quick supplies. It’s close to Gualala and the Gualala River, too, so plenty of outdoor activities like kayaking and hiking.

It was such a delight to stay in this room! The Whale Watch Inn is such a peaceful and beautiful environment— there were stunning views both from the room and from the common room, and there were lots of green spaces and benches throughout the property. My pup and I had a wonderful time. Miren was also a very welcoming and kind host. The Inn seemed to be maybe not fully active—there were surprisingly few other people on the property—I’m not sure why, since it’s an ideal escape with the beach access and an easy drive away from lots of food options!

Had a wonderful stay in this peaceful, private paradise! Accommodations were as described, the property and lake were absolutely stunning. Our pup had a total blast! Wendy was super responsive and kind. We also met the lovely horses who were very sweet. Will definitely be back.

BEAUTIFUL location. Lovely hosts. Very well equipped. Dogs welcome but be careful to keep them close to you or on leash as the house is near a very busy road. We had a WONDERFUL family weekend. A very special place. Thank you Sam and Nancy.

Highly recommend. Such cozy accommodations for two. Beautiful view of ocean. The shower was to die for. At first thought being right next to owner would take away privacy, but that was far from the truth. Eva kept us very well informed, and she and her husband were very hospitable. Will definitely be booking again.

Beautiful space in a unique slice of California Coast. Local food exceeded expectations. this is a gem and worth a visit.

My daughter and I had a wonderful time at the Navarro guest house. Upon arrival we welcomed by a deer. From there and into the evening we saw seals in the ocean from the house with the binoculars provided (thoughtful detail). The house is surrounded by beautiful plants and birds to enjoy as well as the sound of the ocean. The bed was extremely comfortable and perfect after a long day of exploring, not to mention the amazing shower. There were thoughtful details and directions to make the stay pleasant. We did go shopping ahead of time and took full advantage of the grill and kitchen since I love to cook homemade meals. Yes, even on vacation….lol. The next time we visit, we might consider bringing the boys or selfishly keep this hidden gem to ourselves. The Navarro home was a wonderful place to heal and connect, as well as make lasting memories.

The location of the RV is great, it's walking distance from a tranquil beach and you can hear the seals barking at night as you're in the RV. It's also nestled between Mendocino and Fort Bragg with tons to do and see. We really appreciated Joyce's help when we couldn't figure out the heat since we had never stayed in an RV before. Easy to find if you are arriving during the daytime. We arrived at night and had some trouble, so I would recommend getting there in the day. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others!!

This home is absolutely beautiful—peaceful, private, and offering breathtaking views that made our stay feel like a true escape. The beach below is easy to reach, wonderfully secluded, and felt like a hidden gem. It’s also super dog-friendly—our pup had a blast and even learned to use the doggy door! The house was perfect for a couples’ getaway, but I’m already looking forward to coming back with a few friends. A big plus: the property manager was very responsive and kindly accommodated a slightly later check-out, which we really appreciated. Highly recommend!

This is my third time staying at the Navarro house and it gets better every time. It’s perfect for a family, young and old with it feeling like an adventure out of the city to a peaceful, welcoming home with a beautiful view, great amenities and a wonderful host. This is one of those places you want to tell friends about but the more people know about it, the harder it is to book. Our family enjoyed BBQ dinners, hot tubbing day and night (stars) with a walk to the beach where you feel like you’re in a movie. Private and welcoming. My mother sat in the picture window reading her books and joined us by the fire at night. Beds are comfortable, kitchen has all you need for people and pets. Can’t wait to go back.

Hollys Meadow is beyond compare…absolutely magical! Our extended family of 9 bonded with the unique experiences of fishing in the private alcove of beach, bonfires, and roaming and relaxing in the extensive and beautifully landscaped grounds! The house is great for a group, offering a great layout for privacy in baths and bedrooms,, and gathering areas. We loved cooking in the open kitchen with the huge island prep area with seating for easy community The house is immaculate, excellently stocked for dinner preps and serving options. The bedding is comfy and the laundry room appreciated There are no words to express our gratitude to Holly for offering this beautiful venue. Our family made many cherished memories at her amazing place! We will definitely seek Hollys Meadow for our next trip to Ft Bragg!

Absolutely amazing stay! The house was perfect—clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. The spectacular view was the highlight, even better than expected! Everything about the stay was smooth and enjoyable. Highly recommend and would love to come back!

the home was better then even expected besides the incredible ocean view kitchen was well equipped with anything you'd need to cook a meal, comfortable beds high end bathrooms along with the view made this our favorite of any home we've stayed in. hope to return again!

It is a wonderful home that you can tell is loved by its owners. We loved waking up listening to the ocean and the views were breathtaking. There is everything you need in this home. Fully equipped kitchen, toys , puzzles and activities for kids. There is even a piano for those of you that play. We didn’t spend a lot of time exploring the outdoors because we were there for a wedding but I’m sure that would be fabulous. We did enjoy watching the cute family of foxes living behind the home that visited us on a daily basis. Our 4 year old granddaughter commented on the way out how much she would miss them. Magical home and magical wedding. Thank you for sharing your wonderful home with us.”

This gorgeous, updated, ocean view home was perfect for our family trip. It felt like home with every amenity imaginable. The outdoor fire pit was perfect for smores on cold evenings and the kids had plenty of room to run and play safely. It was a beautiful short walk to the ocean. The large dining room table was our favorite for family games. Every room was perfectly private and comfortable. Shri was extremely friendly, responsive and so helpful. We will definitely be back!

This is our second stay at Deryl's AirBnB . My family loves the location with its the ocean view, beach next door, and the spacious house that gives us all plenty of room, plus a nice big dining room table to share meals and play games. The kitchen is well-appointed and everything is very neat and clean. Deryl is also a very gracious and understanding host. It all makes for a very relaxing getaway!

Loved our stay and the house was fantastic, the couches and chairs in the common areas were very uncomfortable and I wish there was an outdoor relaxing/ eating space. The views and beach access were amazing.

Perfect for our weekend getaway! The ocean views were absolutely incredible, and we loved being so close to the coastal trails. The big outdoor deck was ideal for watching the sunset. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing stay with beautiful scenery!
