A gem of a cultural guest in the heart of the city

This special home is centrally located, making it easier to plan a visit. All you have to do is cross the guard and you're at the downtown services. You'll walk to the market in a few minutes. There are several eateries nearby, so there's a choice. The travel center is a short walk away and a taxi stand along the market. There is an additional free parking spot for your car. The window of the apartment shows, among other things, Kenkävero, Naisvuori and the church. Designed with Studio M3 and some of the photos are Kontrastian.

Kaisla Farm

Kaisla Farm is located on land, 22km north of Mikkeli. We live in the main building of the space and there is a 65m2 separate apartment in the yard. The farm has animals and is surrounded by thousands of lakes in eastern Finland, as well as natural rich forest areas. The nearby lake offers recreational opportunities, angling, swimming, boating, etc. The forests have the same, berry, mushroom, and just enjoy the tranquility and quiet. In winter, you can snowshoe and ski and skate if conditions allow.

Welcome to stay in a small cute room with a extendable sofa bed and a tiny kitchen. The cottage is in a separate building in the yard with its own entrance. In addition, there is a small barn that can sleep 2 people. We have 6 huskies that run free in a fenced area are really kind, so there's no need to be afraid. If necessary, the sauna can also be heated for an additional fee, a tent sauna in the yard for 10€/time, and the heating of the big sauna takes half a day and costs 40€/time.

We spent 6 wonderful days here. We are not boaters, so going to the island was a bit of a concern at first, but fortunately we overcame our own prejudices. The location of the cottage is really peaceful, and the place is even more beautiful than in the pictures. We met Niko and his father on the beach and got a boat ride to the island. The cottage and sleeping arrangements were neat and carefully prepared. I was very welcome. Time passed quickly while we were in the sauna, swimming, cooking on the fire and exploring the environment. Of the items involved, we mostly used binoculars. The outboard rowing boat at the cottage was a convenient way to tour the nearby islands and pop over to the mainland. Special mention for: smooth communication, the level of equipment in the cottage (all necessary but no unnecessary clutter), a good bed and of course a beautiful location. If you would like to further develop the place, then perhaps the yard and walkways could be finished and blackout curtains could be purchased for the barn. However, with everything, clearly 5/5.

Absolutely wonderful apartment! I would have liked to stay longer because the apartment had beautiful views and it was peaceful. I also liked the decor! I highly recommend it! The location will not improve from this either and the host communicated in a friendly and active way:)

The cottage is isolated from the civilization without electricity nor running water but the facility is definitely more than enough to make yourself comfortable and immerse yourself fully in the Finnish nature. The view from the cottage is absolutely stunning and in the night only you hear is water waves and animal sounds. We were here beginning of October and could enjoy sunlights at the port. We didn’t go into the lake (apparently it was 7 degrees) but hopefully we can come back to enjoy the swimming in the lake in summer! The cottage itself was built by the owner Mari-Anne and it was unbelievably well designed! We were so happy to be able to stay at her cottage. Mari-Anne was very responsive and gave us all the help needed including the explanation of fire and gas system. She is such a lovely person to interact with.

Cosy small apartment in a beautiful and quiet location, yet close to all facilities and the centre of Mikkeli. Very nice hosts and friendly welcoming. It was the perfect place for our stay!
