Whalan Room @ Root River Inn Resort

This room, named after the smallest town on the Root River Trail, is our smallest room. Perfect if you just plan to sleep here an be out enjoying the day. There is a bench and a stool in the room. This room has a window overlooking main street. You can see the bike trail and the bridge from your room. Recline in your queen bed and watch the Roku TV where you can watch many free channels or log into your own services. This room has the sink in the room and toilet and shower in the bathroom.

Lakes Inn, On Detroit Lakes

Experience a relaxing stay steps in front the beach, flat-screen TVs, optional kitchenettes (for an additional fee). We welcome one pet per room for an extra fee (pets must not be left unattended). Complimentary kayaks and bikes, and visit Mi Cartagena Café, open daily from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM, offering high-quality drinks and baked goods. Blocks from the city sliding hill and skating rink. Bike to Mesabi Trail. We have off street parking, internet and cable TV. Park and walk right in. No steps. We are located only minutes from Giants Ridge Golf and Ski Resort. Enjoy our towns beach, biking, ATV and snowmobile trails.

Thomsonite Inn on Lake Superior unit #11

Formerly known as the Feigal’s jewelry workshop, this unit was converted into a spacious and economical unit. A wooded view with a king bed, microwave, mini fridge, Smart TV, telephone, and coffeemaker. Wifi provided. A short walk around our building and you can enjoy our large grassy grounds and ledge rock Lake Superior shoreline. Note there is no view of Lake Superior from this room, and this room is located next to the office.

Historic Inn, Room with Private Bath, Gregg Room

Historic home built in 1898 for the Gregg Family. Jesse Gregg was a prominent iron merchant and had this big beautiful brick home built for his family by the notable architect Clarence Johnston. The Gregg room is the original master bedroom of the home, with private en-suite bathroom. Bathroom has antique clawfoot tub with hand shower combo. The room has a queen bed and nice views of the neighborhood.

Room #3 at Crosby Lofts is a west-facing room with two large windows. This room features two queen beds and can sleep up to 4 adults. Amenities feature heat, AC, satellite TV, free WiFi, linens, private bathroom, hair dryer, bathroom essentials, coffee maker, microwave, mini fridge, free parking and shared rooftop deck access. We also have free bike storage space with lockers in the Red Shed.
