The house is very easy reachable via public transportation; the post-van is 5 minutes to go, with direct connection to St. Gallen (with an overall travel time of 30 minutes). The apartment itself is in the basement of an old Stickerhaus, that is an embroiderer house where once the famous embroidery of the region have been manufactured. We guarantee leisurely days in an unconventional place.

Die Unterkunft ist an der Appenzellerstrasse, die von Gais nach Appenzell führt. Das Haus ist hell, bietet im EG und 1. Stock viel Platz für 3-4 Personen. Es ist ein Patrizierhaus, Decken sind höher (2.20 m) als typ. Appenzeller-häuser. Die Küche ist voll ausgerüstet. 2 Hochsitze für Kinder/Babybette vorhanden. Hunde willkommen. Wanderwege beginnen sobald man die Strasse überquert. Wichtig: Separat ist auch ein Inserat auf airbnb geschaltet, um das ganze Hausteil zu mieten (8 Personen).

Just the thing for a cozy weekend for two or alone in the middle of nature!! An extensive organic shop in the nearby farmhouse is always open for late arrivals. If you are looking for luxury in the traditional sense, the Bird's Nest is not the right place. The luxury of the bird's nest is its wonderful simplicity.
