Holiday rentals with beach access in Monterey Bay

I would surely book this place again. The place was very comfortable and had everything we needed, including laundry facilities. The location was great for walking and also a easy close drive to Nicene Marks Forest for a lovely hike. Communication was very pleasant and quick. Loved this stay.

Suzy’s place was perfect! I was in town for a wedding held at Shadowbrook and Suzy’s place was within walking distance to not only the restaurant but also all the spots in the village. Suzy was super responsive and worked with me. Even though I wasn’t able to check in early, we worked it out so that I could at least park in the designated parking spot so that we could walk around town while things were being cleaned. The place was super safe and private. I would definitely stay here again the next time I’m in town!

I would recommend this place to my friends and family if you are looking to stay in a very cute beach town! You are smack dab in the middle of it all at capitola here. They have surf boards and a boogie board for you to use, we used the surf boards (I rented my wetsuit from ONeill for $10! Don't do the one that's accross the street for 36 if you're strapped for money and have a car just go to oniell!) The apartment was perfect and it comes with a cute backstory about the mom that bought the place many moons ago. The apartment also came with bikes but we love walking so much so we never used them! The beds we SO comfy too!

My husband and I recently stayed in “Fancy Free by the Sea”. It met all of our needs. I loved the way it was decorated and it felt very homey. We appreciated the filtered water in the refrigerator and the available coffee, although we purchased our coffees in town. All in all, very cute, very relaxing space. I would stay there again. I gave it 5 stars.

This place was exactly as described in the listing and the pictures. It had all the conveniences of home that were needed for a small family and is very efficiently laid out. The living area with the huge windows made the space feel open and gave you views of Monterey Bay. It is very conveniently located in Pacific Grove--walkable to Lover's Point Beach and short drive or long walk to Cannery Row or the "downtown." Although the single parking space is tight, it was very convenient to have dedicated parking close by. Check in was very easy, instructions were clearly provided. They had a washer and dryer in the building, which was also convenient for a week long stay. Mermaid Cove is definitely a convenient, comfortable, and peaceful place to stay. I highly recommend it.

Amazing host- great communication and super responsive. The apartment was clean and welcoming and looked just like the photos. Location was great, a block from the beach and close to all the shops and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed- toaster, coffee maker, clean dishes and a great space. The code door lock was super convenient for the kids to go out and about and come back to check in without fighting over a key. Decor was on point and I just loved the place and didn’t want to leave. The street sweeper early Friday morning was annoying and there can be a lot of noise from the street or people in the other unit but that is just life. Overall I would recommend this spot and will be waiting for another chance to visit. Ovr has this dialed in and I would trust any of the properties they manage because they do it right and take all the guesswork out of the process of renting a unit. Best AirBnb I have rented.

Well-stocked, simply furnished bungalow-type attached residence in the Seabright neighborhood, convenient to the northeastern residential sections of Santa Cruz and to supermarkets and natural food stores. Many new, easy-to-operate small appliances and good laundry set-up. Ample kitchenware and condiments. Quiet city surroundings, easy parking. Overall, staying at the unit (and interacting with owner) was a pleasure.

This house is awesome for family adventures. It had every possible amenity for a vacation getaway you could need. The house was spotless upon our arrival and well-organized, with a detailed list of items available to ensure you had a great time. The Pacific Ocean is viewable from the second floor porch which seated six comfortably around the propane fire pit. There were many toys available for families traveling with children. Our toddler granddaughter really enjoyed playing with the many toys. The kitchen was well stocked with modern appliances. The location was just a few minutes' drive to downtown Monterey and Fisherman's Wharf. We absolutely recommend this Airbnb house in the Monterey area. Our host Meli was awesome. She communicated with us from the time we made the reservation until we left. Her instructions for the house were clear and concise. We contacted her twice while we were there and she responded to our questions within minutes. Meli is a top-notch host.

What a perfect spot for visiting Santa Cruz! After days spent exploring the fabulous state parks and delicious wines, this spot was the perfect place to come home to and relax, walk down to the beach and feel what it would be like to be a resident. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed and having access to a washer and dryer was an added plus. Would highly recommend!

The place is beautiful and bigger then what I had imagined it was going to be from the pictures. The Beds are so comfy and the couches. Restaurants, gas stations and grocery store are near by so you don't have to drive far and love how it was centered to the places we ended up visiting. We would stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay at Jordan's place. The pictures don't do it justice. The place was beautifully decorated with great little touches from snacks and wine for the adults, toothbrushes, and very comfortable beds (one is adjustable bed). It is a block from the beach with stunning views where we saw sea lions, seals and otters every day.

Our family stayed here for our vacation and had a wonderful time. All of the details were thought through from sand toys for the kids to use at the beach to some coloring books for them at check in. The house was perfect for our family - very clean, comfortable and perfect location. We thoroughly enjoyed walking down to the ocean every day to watch the fun wildlife and dip our toes in the water. We would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful condo nestled in the Pajaro Dunes Resort. We traveled with two elementary aged kids and they had a fantastic time. A great family getaway. We brought our own groceries and there was plenty of amenities in the kitchen for eating in every meal. We enjoyed the short walk to the beach and beautiful views from the inside as well. We appreciated having the beach chairs & tennis items. The resort recreation area was a lot of fun and we spent several hours there. Comfortable beds and upgraded furnishings. Overall, a fantastic experience and we can’t wait to return again someday.

This stay is absolutely amazing. Comfy bed and furniture. Stocked Kitchen. Steps to the beach. Closet full of beachy things. We had fun flying the kite. Built bonfires just over the dune on the beach. 🏖️ Don’t hesitate to book. This place is it.

Staying at this Airbnb was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with warmth and thoughtfulness—fresh local flowers, many beautiful books related to the neighborhood in reading material. The space was immaculately clean, beautifully designed, with everything I could need—toiletries to fast Wi-Fi .The host went above and beyond, checking in to ensure everything was perfect. It felt less like a rental and more like a five-star boutique hotel with the heart of a home. I truly didn’t want to leave!” This is a real heartfelt space in the middle of my home town that provided the soulful connection to home.

We had a wonderful stay in Aptos! Hosts were very helpful, responsive, and flexible. You can tell they take great care of the house and think of all the details and amenities a visitor might need. Although we didn’t use the kitchen and bbq, everything you might need is there. The beds were very comfortable as well. The view is breathtaking, we even saw whales! It’s the perfect location to local restaurants, coffee spots, and grocery stores. Very close to Santa Cruz without the hustle and bustle. My family would definitely recommend and stay here again.

We’ve stayed at Pajaro Dunes before, but it’s been decades ago. Marc’s place was perfectly situated for privacy and views and was very clean and well appointed. The peacefulness and serenity were exactly what we were looking for. The beachy feel of the furnishings was charming and the unit included all that we needed including an upgraded and well furnished kitchen, a gas fireplace, a comfortable, king size bed and other essentials like extra blankets and a Kuerig coffee maker. Our only difficulty was when inadvertently trying to use the TV remote to change channels…Don’t Do That, Use the cable remote like it says in the instructions. Spent a thoroughly enjoyable four days here with side trips to Monterey and Carmel. Perfect home base for dining out and exploring the coast, and an excellent, proactive host.

Thank you so much Rhea for allowing my family to enjoy this gem! The reviews spoke about the views but wow, incredible! You can literally see up the coast line on both sides. The condo was clean, had enough to accommodate a family of five! We were able to cook our meals every night without a problem. The pool is just a few steps up which my youngest definitely appreciated. We are already missing waking up to the sounds of the ocean! If we’re ever in the area we would be so lucky to book this place again.

Great location right in Downtown Carmel. We walked to restaurants and the beach, and used as a home base for visiting the area.
