Cottage holiday rentals in Moray Firth

Absolutely fantastic location, with fantastic scenery nearby. Had some wonderful walks, literally behind the property. The BBQ area was fantastic like the hot tub. I can’t say much more, but I will be looking to return ASAP Matthew is a fantastic host and nothing seems to be too much of a problem. Loved the place, oh and the Highland cows are awesome.

Second time we have stayed here, will make it a third sometime in the future. Great cottage and location

If your looking for seclusion and perfection look no further. Booked this a long time ago to house myself and best men for my wedding in nearby Drummond Lodge. Honestly we were so excited when Robert our host messaged to say the hot tub would always be on! Everything you need is there. One of the people on the farm even gave one of our guests a jump start when they broke down when bringing stuff on the wedding day! Got some great photos and videos getting ready in the morning. Really is a great place and would recommend to anyone. Hosts couldn't do enough for you. Even provided local eggs, bread and jam for the kitchen. We brought stuff with us, but its such a lovely touch and it shows. We were left to relax and enjoy ourselves. Didn't go for the BBQ and indoor fire but again its there if you want it. I think we all pickled in the Hot Tub by the end great place to chat and set the world to rights. Unbelievable and never to he forgotten. The Carrs recommend.

The cottage was beautiful, in a great location and so private. It had almost everything we needed for the nine of us and made for a perfect long weekend. It was clean, cosy and well presented. Check in and check out was incredibly easy. Thanks for having us!

Amazing stay! The cottage was very cosy, looked like the photos and we felt right at home. Loved having the wood burner in the evenings while having dinner and chatting the night away!

We stayed here for a week with our grown children and their partners. Alasdair's cottage was perfect. It immediately felt cosy and comfortable. The games barn was a fun addition, and a great place to store our bikes when not in use. We got the hot tub going and once up to temperature it was easy enough to keep it ticking over for several evenings. The kitchen was well appointed, enough utensils, crockery and pans for us to cook each night. The cottage is next to open fields and farm land with quiet roads that lead to Cublin Forest. This was an amazing place to explore on foot and on bike, especially the peninsula that runs along the Findhorn Estuary and into the sea. Deserted beach and inquisitive seals. We also drove about an hour north to do some hiking at Glenmore in the Cairngorms. After our busy days adventuring it was always great to return to the cottage to relax and sleep soundly in the super size comfortable beds.

Truly “off grid” in the literal sense! It runs on batteries and a generator!! Despite it not having wifi we all had great 4G so never felt truly disconnected thankfully. It’s such a private place with literally nobody for a square mile or more probably. I would say in the winter you will need a 4x4 to access as it’s a mile down a dirt track! Amazing place and can’t wait to revisit :)

Lovely cottage and place to stay to have a getaway in beautiful nature! Laura’s place has so many amenities and a very helpful and informative host. We were happy to stay here.

This is our 4th visit to Railway cottage and it won’t be our last. It’s well placed for driving in to Aviemore, Newtonmore, Kincraig and Kingussie and there are walks you can do from the door. It’s a cosy and welcoming place to stay and very comfortable. There are lots of activities on the nearby estates including quad biking, horse riding, zip wires, canyoning, clay pigeon shooting and archery. Lots of good places to eat too.

What a great place to stay. The property is a little secluded which suited us and yet is close to Inverness and the A9 and so was perfectly located. The property was spotlessly clean and everything we needed during our 10 day stay was available. Communication with Mairi throughout was excellent and we were made to feel welcome. Highly recommended!!

We hadden de molen gehuurd. Prachtig en ruim huis. Heerlijke omgeving met volop schapen voor de deur. De gastheer was ontzettend vriendelijk en zeer behulpzaam.

Really lovely and well equipped little cottage in a beautiful area of the world. Very comfortable bed. The dogs loved the enclosed garden. Handy EV charger at the front. Caroline was very responsive. Highly recommended overall.

This AirBnb was a gem. 💎 Absolutely amazing. We would love to be able to stay here again. It was well decorated, and had so many thoughtful details. The host is very friendly and helpful. This cottage is beautifully decorated and prepared.

I had a wonderful stay at this beautiful countryside home. The view was stunning, and the peaceful surroundings gave such calm and positive vibes. It was the perfect escape from the city. I would definitely love to stay here again!

A lovely stay at Blaeberry Cottage. It had everything I needed for a 3 night stay, very well equipped and very clean. A lovely garden for the dog to roam around. Would definitely recommend!

Fantastic place just outside Boat of Garten and Aviemore. Couldn’t ask for more.

Me, my partner, two of our close friends and our greyhound Louis had a magical week at the boathouse. Not only were we blessed with end to end sunshine, but the boat house was so wonderful, that for several days we didn't leave the accommodation. The photos on here do not do the boathouse justice, it was spotless and brimming with character - not to mention the bathrooms were wonderful! Huge recommendation would be to bring or rent a kayak for the lake, we spent hours having fun on there and it would be the perfect pastime for children too! Perfect spot for a couples holiday, a romantic getaway, or even a family holiday! We will definitely be back.

Great quiet place, beautiful surroundings of nature, just a quick drive from Loch Ness. David was very nice and helpful.

Amazing escape from the busy world. We loved the calm environment at the bothy and the wildlife in the surroundings. Spending some days without permanent electricity and cooking on the Rayburn was a great experience to slow down during holidays

My wife and I couldn’t have asked for a better spot for a couple days in the Highlands. It was the perfect base to explore during the day, and it was peaceful and quiet in the evening. We’d love to come back!

very comfortable accomodation,, well equipped with everything we could have needed. Shirley left a lovely welcome basket and showed us around upon arrival. it was very peaceful and we felt right at home there. The house was beautifully clean, the bed was comfortable and the rooms were all quite spacious. we chose not to carry our suit cases up the stairs as they are quite steep and narrow but if you just have a travel bag or backpack they are not a problem.

het is een hele mooie woning met van alles voorzien lekker rustig en ondanks dat het voor langere mensen wat hindernissen zijn zou ik ondanks dit zeker terugkomen als ik weer in de buurt op vakantie zou gaan dus een aanrader

Such a quaint town with a beautiful view. The house was perfect for our stay with quick access to Inverness and surrounding areas. Also just a beautiful places to stay in, had everything we needed and Catherine went above and beyond in setting us up and communicating. Would highly recommend!

Easter Dalziel was a fantastic place for me and family to enjoy a quiet and peaceful farm living. Well recommended to all!
