Holiday rentals with lake access in Múlaþing

We rented two rooms in Lóas house as a family with two kids. Rooms and beds were very nice and the house was clean.

You could not possibly stay in a better place in Egilstaðir! Lóa is not only super friendly and welcoming she was also a guide for years and has an incredible knowledge of Iceland! Thanks to Lóa I got to see and go to places I would not have known about. I immediately felt at home, it was like visiting family! The East of Iceland feels unexplored to some extend and with Lóa’s knowledge of the area and history my stay was truly remarkable! I would highly recommend you look no further.

This place is perfect, I already saved for my next trip to iceland. The host is very responsive and does not bother you at all during your stay. I cannot ask for amything else. Just perfect! (my 3 daughters loved the place so much. 4, 7 and 11yo)

Wir haben uns super aufgenommen gefühlt. Wir wurden direkt von Anna sowie ihrem Hund, Ziegen, Schafen und Pferden begrüßt. Die Ausstattung ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber alles ist sauber und funktionstüchtig.

We loved our stay, and Justyna was such an amazing host! The room was soooo cute and cozy, and walkable to great restaurants, the town, and a gorgeous waterfall! Plus, Justyna is such a warm, caring person! She went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable, even when we were facing a blizzard forecast in June! If you’re on the fence, don’t give it another shot, book this adorable little home away from home! Thank you so much, Justyna!!!

This is our third year in a row to travel in Iceland, and this is our favorite Airbnb in Iceland. 6 stars if that could be possible!Charming layout. Great kitchen with views of the harbor and the sleeping level above was cleverly arranged. For some the tight spiral staircase might be a deal breaker. And it is an adventure to navigate in the middle of the night! We were also charmed by this town. Breakfast next door at the Foodcoop was excellent as well.

Super freundliche und bemühte Gastgeber! Eine liebevoll eingerichtete und sehr saubere Unterkunft mit guter Möglichkeit zum Kochen. Praktisch, dass es neben dem Duschbad mit WC eine zweite Toilette gibt. Schön, dass meine kaputten Wanderschuhe hier ein neues Zuhause gefunden haben! 😃

Elsa and Magnus's place was amazing! Elsa was friendly and helpful, and I had some lovely conversations with her. The room was cozy and very comfortable. I loved how it was decorated. It is very peaceful at her house and the surroundings. I am very happy to have discovered her place, and I will definitely come again the next time I am in Iceland!

This was my second accomodation while staying in Iceland and appreciated the level of hospitality that they offered. The space had a great lived-in and comfortable feel and was beautiful with the amount of light that the windows let in. They offered great local insight to the area and it was clear they accommodate a wide range of types of travellers. Though I didn't make use of all the information and amenities, I appreciate the thought behind it. There were many personal touches that make it that much more memorable. I especially appreciate them messaging to make sure check in went alright.
