The Bay of Fires Bush Retreat is set amongst a beautiful bush setting, close to the stunning Bay of Fires beaches, and only 2.5km from the Binalong Bay township, and 8km from St Helens. The Bush Retreat has a fully equipped kitchen ready for guests to use at their leisure, or for those who would prefer to take a more relaxed option, we have our Platter Bar and pre-prepared meals made by our in-house chefs, as well as our Bush Retreat Breakfast $25pp that can be pre-booked prior to arrival.

We host our families beach shack in North Binalong Bay, quite and surrounded by the Bay of Fires/larapuna. Less than a 5 minute walk to Baileys Beach, close to the mountain bike trails of Bay of Fires (10min) and St Helens (20min). The FLOPHouse is comfy, cosy and conveniently located for your east coast Tassie road trip. Positioned on the main thoroughfare of town opposite Wrinklers beach the entrance is a 250m stroll away. We offer an open plan lounge/kitchen/dining, off street parking, spacious rear garden courtyard and 2BRs sleeping up to five guests (QB/DB/SB). The Bay of Fires, Freycinet, wineries, mountain biking and a whole lot of fresh air are all within easy reach. Did we mention no traffic lights either?

Ansons Bay remote paradise within the Bay of Fires

Ansons Bay is a remote holiday village within the Bay of Fires which we call Paradise. Although it is remote we do have free WiFi. The house is a perfect place to relax on the verandah, go fishing, take one of our kayaks out on the bay or up the river, there's plenty of walking trails, I can assist you with information on self guided Bay of Fires walks. There's a mooring available for your boat. You just need to bring your provisions as the closest shops and fuel are 1/2 hour away.

The Shack on the Hill - Binalong Bay, Bay of Fires

A peaceful place to relax after exploring the beautiful Bay of Fires area, swimming, surfing, walking or mountain biking on nearby tracks. The Shack on the Hill has beautiful views across forest reserves. Keep an eye out for the amazing birdlife including parrots, cockatoos, robins, blue wrens and Sea Eagles cruising past. The cottage has a large open plan kitchen/dining and living area and a large covered deck for outdoor dining and perfect for coffee in the morning sun.

Spacious self contained cottage on a working cattle and prime lamb farm. Other farm animals include, friendly dogs, chooks, horses and a noisy donkey! Perfect location to set up as a base for NE Tassie adventures. Check out my guidebook. There is plenty to see and do in this area, so consider staying for two or more nights to explore our magnificent Pyengana valley, the Blue Tier walking and MTB trails and the must see St Columba waterfalls. Or just enjoy country life.

Kersbrook Cottage near Derby

Our newly-renovated cottage is located half way between Derby and Weldborough, about a ten minute drive to both destinations. The property is peaceful and quiet , surrounded by hilly pastures and direct access to a fully fenced native forest with a few MTB trails for a short ride (Kersbrook Stash) and other areas for walks. It is great for couples, MTB riders and specially families because Minishredders Babysitting Service is just next door.
