The view from the house was absolutely breathtaking — it truly felt like a piece of paradise. The sunset was stunning, and during the day the landscape was beautiful, while at night the sky was full of stars. The host was incredibly kind and even shared freshly harvested pumpkin and lettuce with us. Although there was no air conditioning, the natural breeze through the open windows kept the entire house pleasantly cool. If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway surrounded by nature and beauty, I highly recommend this place.

One of the most beautiful places I've ever been to. Follow Mario's advice and you will have an amazing time (ask if you can use the kayak!) Mario's son learned me a lot about music, and Mario himself made some fantastic breakfast, lunch and dinner. Thanks for everything, and hopefully we will meet again.

Wir bekamen viele Infos vom Check in bis zu möglichen Aktivitäten lange vor Beginn der Reise. Daniela war zu jeder Zeit ansprechbar und äußerst bemüht um jedes Anliegen. Sie organisierte uns einen kompletten herrlichen Tag im douro Tal angefangen mit einer phantastischen Zugfahrt über eine private Bootstour bishin zu einem köstlichen Lunch mit anschließender Tour über ein altes Weingut mit Kellerei und Verkostung. Wir werden uns noch sehr lange daran erinnern. Auch Ihre Restaurant Empfehlungen in unmittelbarer Nähe waren der absolute Knüller. Bitte daran denken, dass man sich auf dem Land und weit von Urbanität befindet und auf jeden Fall ein Auto benötigt. Der Pool war der Himmel nach einem heißen Tag unterwegs im alto douro und die Aussicht vom cottage ein Traum. Zum Frühstück kannst du dir einen leckeren Korb bestellen. Ansonsten ist die Küche für die Zubereitung von Mahlzeiten eher klein. Wir haben uns komplett wohl gefühlt und können diese Unterkunft wärmstens empfehlen.

Wat een geweldig verblijf hadden wij bij Maria! Ze ontving ons letterlijk met open armen met een heerlijke lunch op haar balkon met een prachtig uitzicht over de tuin en de mooie groene heuvels. Op hetzelfde balkon genoten we elke ochtend van een uitgebreid en liefdevol klaargemaakt ontbijt. De plek is echt geweldig en vooral de tuin, die als een paradijs is, vol met vruchtenbomen, olijven, druiven, groenten, kruiden en andere planten en bloemen. Overal zijn fijne zitjes om van de heerlijke tuin met het prachtige uitzicht te genieten. En dan Maria, een zeldzaam lieve, hartelijke en zorgzame vrouw. Alles wat ze doet, voelt oprecht en recht uit het hart. Ze was bijna als een moeder voor ons en als een oma voor ons dochtertje. Het viel niet mee om na 6 dagen afscheid te nemen, maar we nemen de fijnste herinneringen met ons mee. Heel veel dank lieve Maria!

Everything was perfect. The check-in went smoothly and the place is spotless. Communication was easy and friendly. I would stay there again without hesitation.

We had a great time at the tiny house. Yes, there were 1-2 quirks, but this is expected. Every place has its quirks, but here, everything was clearly communicated by the host, which we greatly value. We came to watch the Perseid meteor shower and had a nice experience. However, the light pollution was higher than expected due to local festivities using sky laser projectors. These powerful lasers create bright beams visible from afar. The previous night, while we were at another place, was even worse with two villages using projectors, which seems to be common here. Unfortunately, this was not pleasant for us, and we hope it was just bad timing. Everything else was wonderful—the surrounding nature was serene, with lush trees and a variety of birds adding to the charm. We enjoyed breathtaking sunsets and sunrises that made our stay memorable. The host was exceptional, preparing a delicious breakfast each morning and always being kind and helpful.

A Aldeia em que está a casa é muito bonitinha, e pacata, só havia mais um casal de moradores por lá. A varanda da casa tem uma vista espetacular, acordávamos com os pássaros e olhávamos para o rio, no último dia passaram 3 cruzeiros porém são bem silenciosos, é possível passear pelas redondezas com segurança. É um lugar para descansar, há 2 restaurantes próximos, no entanto, um fica fechado nesta época do ano. A cidade mais próxima fica há 20min de carro, é agradável e se pode encontrar mercados, restaurantes, farmácias e padarias. Adoramos a estadia, muita paz. Obrigada.
