Guesthouse Agae is a limited stay for one group that has been renovated from an old private house.The property is in a very convenient location, with the Kumano Kodo and Chikurōji approximately 550 meters away (about a 7-minute walk), and a supermarket (A-COOP), a bus stop (Kodo Aruki no Sato Chikatsuyu), and a restaurant (Tororoya) all within a 1-minute walk. The owner is a local Kumano Kodo guide, so we will do our best to answer questions about walking the ancient pilgrimage trail, provide advice, and offer transportation if needed.We can also provide a personal guide, so please feel free to contact us. The host can only speak Japanese, but thank you very much. Nachi Falls, with a drop of 133 m. It is one of the three most famous waterfalls in Japan. The waterfall is spectacular when seen up close. Kumano Nachi Taisha Shrine is next to the waterfall, so you can feel the grandeur of nature in a majestic atmosphere. In addition, Daimon-zaka, Seiganto-ji Temple, Sanju no Tower, Fudarasan-ji Temple, Whale Museum, Kinoshima Tour, Dolphin Base, etc. are full of sightseeing spots. The 1st floor has a kitchen, toilet, bathroom, living room, entrance, and a 6-tatami bedroom The second floor has a bedroom and two rooms with six tatami mats. The nearest bus stop is Ninosebashi bus stop. The electric sign is a landmark.　 There is a hot spring facility and restaurant about 10 minutes on foot. There are no houses around and it's quiet. Recommended for those who value privacy! It is about a 10-minute drive to Hongu Taisha Shrine and about a 5-minute drive to Kumano Kodo Ukekawa and Kawayu Onsen, making it a perfect base for a trip to Kumano. In front of the house, you can enjoy playing in the river, barbecues, bonfires, insect collecting, bird watching, stargazing, mountain walking, and more. We also provide a kitchen and barbecue grill, so please bring only the ingredients. Relax with family and friends at this peaceful place to stay.

We usually accept up to 8 people, but we can accommodate up to 10 people on request. There is a convenience store in front of the house, which is very convenient.

It’s a house 8km from the Hongu Taisha. (about 15 minutes' drive) If you have a car it's more convenient, but if not I'll be happy to drive you to and from a bus stop or a tourism spot in Hongu area. My family run an organic farm, bakery, NPO offering long-stay for the youth, and an alternative school for children nearby. You'll have some loaves of bread from our bakery(^^)/ （If you don't eat bread please let me know beforehand)
