In our garden, there is a traditional Japanese architectural storehouse (a building for safely storing household goods, merchandise, etc.). We renovated a warehouse into a residence. It is a building that very few people build today. Meals are not included. Cooking is not allowed. There is a sink, microwave, toaster, electric kettle, and fridge. There is a washing machine (free) (no dryer) The bathroom is a shower room (no bathtub) This is a private rental for one group per day. It is completely separate from our house. Privacy is secured. There is nothing shared with other guests, such as showers or toilets. About 9 minutes on foot from JR Shingu Station. 1-minute walk to FamilyMart (24-hour store) There are also Japanese style pubs within walking distance where you can eat fresh sashimi, sushi, and Shingu's specialty, mehari sushi, so you won't have any trouble finding something to eat. (The shops close earlier than in the city) We have 6 bicycles for rent. (free)　 Parking for up to 2 cars is available in front of the gate (free of charge on the premises). Shingu is located in the middle of Kumano City, Nachikatsuura Town, and Hongu, so you can use this as a base to tour the World Heritage Sites.

It is in a very convenient location, about 550 m (about 7 minutes on foot) to Kumano Kodo and Kinkou Oji, a supermarket (A-COOP), a bus stop (Kodo Aruki no Sato Chikatsuyu), and restaurants (Shoji Teahouse and Tororo-ya). The owner is a local Kumano Kodo guide, so we will do our best to accommodate your questions and advice about walking the Kumano Kodo, as well as pick-up and drop-off when you need it. We can also provide personal guides, so please let us know. Prices do not include meals. I stayed two nights at Narako san`s place near Shingu. It is a seperate building next to the main house. There is a bedroom, small kitchen and bathroom. It was very convenient for me as I came by car and served as a base to excursions to Kumano. I recommend this place.

Super friendly host and very charming old Japanese-style house. Cooking in the outdoor kitchen was a fun experience! The cluttered outdoor area added to the charm of the place and Eiko-san, and inside the house it was tidy and fairly clean!:) The area is super quiet and you can hear lots of birds, overall a very relaxing place. Eiko-san also has lots of good recommendations for nearby activities! However, if you’re a tall person - like my boyfriend - be aware that the doors are made for smaller Japanese people back in the day… lots of head bumping and headache potential if not careful! Since the bathroom is fairly small I went for a bath in a nearby bathhouse, a very short walk and very very affordable.

Thank you very much, Mei He!Communicated with me before check-in and recommended restaurants! We were late to check in, she knew I wouldn't speak Japanese and used a translator to communicate with me, and took us to a great hot spring to watch the sunset, the hot spring was clean and comfortable!!After the hot spring, he drove us to a nearby Osaka yakiniku shop (Grandma's Osaka yakiniku is delicious!!I've been gone for three or four days and I still can't forget it. Mei He's cat is so cute, it follows her everywhere!Meiwa showed me a lot of pictures of cats! I'm so happy! When we learned that we were going to climb the mountain in Jiisengpu the next day, he gave us a lot of advice ~ I'm glad to tell Mei that we completed the entire mountain climbing journey!(Please see the last picture hahahaha (We originally planned to leave at 9 o'clock, but Meiwa told me that it would be late to return to Osaka, so we followed her advice and adjusted to 7 o'clock!Rush back to Osaka at 7:00 p.m.!Thank you very much ~) Unfortunately, the Yamato in Jiwinsu was not open that day, and I really wanted to try the tuna that was highly recommended by Meiwa!
