Shekinah Hermitage: Peace at the Forest’s Edge

Shekinah Hermitage is at 8000ft. overlooking the Cibola N. F. This unique cabin looks into a canyon to the north, and eastward over the San Agustin Plains. Surrounded by juniper and pinion trees, it is very remote. Windows all around give the feel of being outdoors but the solid structure is immovable in high winds. Inside is all you need including limited solar-battery 120V electricity. There is an attached bathroom with a sawdust composting toilet. Outside a high deck offers stunning views.

Private Casita at the Desert River Farm

We are located on a 2.75 acre homestead property just south of Albuquerque in a small agricultural community. It is a perfect retreat space for those looking to get away but stay close to amenities. We live in an 1890 adobe home that shares the property with the casita and we have quiet and friendly neighbors. We have a handful of fruit trees, a hoop house where we are growing vegetables, and a wild 1 acre field. The property is fully fenced with private parking right outside the casita.

Quiet, cozy cottage in the beautiful Mimbres Valley, located between City of Rocks State Park and Lake Roberts. Sleeps three, or couple with two small children (1 double bed, 1 single). Pet friendly, with large shaded enclosure. Hummingbird haven from April to October. Patio with charcoal grill and a garden for seasonal picking. Fresh eggs from my chickens in the fridge in season. Relax, unwind, and unplug with a beautiful view of the Manzano Mountains in our cozy cabin. Mountainair was known as the “Pinto Bean Capital of the World” in its heyday and our land was used for dry-land bean farming. Remnants of homesteaders can still be found on the property. We now enjoy this beautiful location to raise Scottish Highland Cattle and can’t wait to share it with you! Our cabin will fit 2 adults plus a child comfortably with a queen bed and twin sofa bed.
