Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Newington

Melissa’s flat has been put together with so much thought, it is stylish, cosy, and comfortable. It is perfectly located to be walkable for all the main sites in Edinburgh and has lots of nice restaurants, coffee shops, and bars nearby (and Melissa provided a guidebook to help find the best spots). Melissa was incredibly accommodating and even arranged an infant cot for us. Would absolutely stay again!

Melissa was a friendly, helpful and very responsive host. The house was exactly want we wanted and expected. The place was also spotless. The rooms were all good sizes and the bathroom was modern and had a really nice shower (with a bath for the kids) l. The location was great for our little family that wanted space in the evenings but happy to travel a bit to get into Edinburgh, we found the short drive to Kirkcaldy where we could park at the station and get a train directly into central Edinburgh worked perfectly for us. Or you could use as a base for driving to different parts of Scotland. I wish we had time to look at the local area some more as it's near a coastal path. I would definitely come again and recommend to others.

We really enjoyed our stay! The cottage is very cozy and had everything we needed for a relaxing break. Our toddler especially loved exploring outside and had a great time running around the old Kirk next door. A lovely, peaceful spot—we’d definitely stay again!

Truly spectacular view in a wonderful setting. Gorgeous property that is obviously a project that is well loved. We would welcome the opportunity to stay here again.

Great base to explore the city. About a 40min walk to Old Town. Beds are comfortable and Jamie was very helpful. Thanks for everything!

We had a fantastic stay at Green Cottage. Craig was very helpful from the start with travel tips and luggage drop off information. Craig provided very useful information for checking in and locating the cottage, everything was easy to follow. The cottage is in a lovely location, within walking distance of the Royal Botantial Gardens and the coast line. It is also near many bus routes and easy to visit all the tourist sites in Edinburgh.

A great base for visiting Edinburgh. Lovely accommodation; peaceful neighbourhood and very easy transport links into the city. Can also highly recommend the Riccarton Inn, within a few minutes walk - great food and drinks selection and the Tuesday night quiz is good fun. Fiona is an excellent host - very responsive, clear communication and very proactive to make sure your stay is a good one. Would definitely stay here again.

The perfect place to stay when visiting Edinburgh! Easy to walk to shops and restaurants and the castle! It should be noted that you do have to climb to flights of spiral stairs to get to the apartment. So I would not recommend booking this Airbnb if you have troubles getting up steps. Other than that I highly recommend!

Susie and Amit's place was our perfect home base for exploring Edinburgh and the surrounding area. The flat felt like home and we even met a few of the neighbors. Thank you for a wonderful time.

Dawn’s flat was perfect for our four night stay! Really well situated, with lots of shops and cafes in walking distance. The flat is well equipped with everything you need and was immaculate on arrival.

Great place in Edinburgh! It is a little ways from the main downtown but that’s a good thing since the royal mile is way too crowded, loud and crazy. There are restaurants, coffee shops and a grocery store super close. The apartment is spacious, beautiful and comfortable!

This apartment was a great find! Right off the Royal Mile, walkable to many sights but also a bus stop just up the street. Having 3 beds was wonderful for myself and 2 teenagers, and everything in the apartment was great. Opening the windows let a cool breeze throughout, and the washer/dryer allowed us to wash clothes mid-trip which was very helpful. Would definitely stay here again!

This apartment is in the heart of it all. Front of street is being repaired which caused some initial confusion but was fine. The apartment is up 3 flights of tough stairs, so keep in mind for your group. We had two kids and 1 adult was dropping off the car - making it a sweaty ordeal. The initial stairwell and lobby is pretty weary. We did not witness anything off but upon entrance, we were nervous. The flat itself has so much character. It is steps from all the must-see sights. We were warned to make restaurants bookings ahead and were glad we did so. Many places were full or not taking walk ins.

Stayed here for 2 nights with 5 other adults - one of the best decisions! As a start, check-in was smooth. Everyone has their bed, towels which is great. Had to figure out the heater (our country is Summer all year) and Lukas was very responsive. This location is almost a straight drive to the city centre. With free parking at the location, it gave us great relief to know we won’t get penalised. Love this place! I would recommend this to others.

Entering this well appointed, beautiful home, there is a feeling of warmth and relaxation. The skylights bring in the natural light to the bathrooms. The Kitchen is modern and sleek, with everything you need to make a first class meal. The visually stunning, spacious backyard has a wonderful garden. There is a park just behind the house. My daily jog would lead me down to the beach. Here i would do a quick cold plunge- rejuvenating my body. The area is surrounded by a world renowned collection of golf clubs. The Longniddry golf club is a short walk and is a fun track. Thank you for being great hosts.

Amazing house with lots to do. The room at the top of the spiral stairs was just a bit difficult to get into and out of, with low ceilings, and it gets warm up there. One more bathroom for that number of bedrooms could be nice... but it all worked out. It was pretty close to perfect for our family reunion. And it's great for hide and seek! We recommend it.

Ubytování bylo skvělé, hostitelka Zuzka byla moc milá. Když jsme něco potřebovali, ihned pomohla. Na zastávku autobusu je to kousek, skvělé spojení do centra. Aldi, kde se dají koupit potraviny je kousek, stejně tak Coop. Docházková vzdálenost na pláž. Celkově skvělá dovolená, ubytování u Zuzky mohu jen doporučit!!!
