Hiking trails start at the front door, swimming in the river during Summer is deliciously refreshing. See the seasons changing in Autumn on a walk to Ichinokura (2 hours round trip) or Tanigawadake Ropeway (10 mins walk) or climb Mt Tanigawa from the base. The snow in Winter is of excellent quality and plentiful.
