Holiday rentals with breakfast in Northeast India

I traveled with my parents, husband and kids (4.5 and 3). The moment we entered the place, it felt like home. We were familiar with the locality as we had already lived in the city earlier (my parents for 34 years and me 25 years). We intended to spend a lot of time at the property and just soak in the air of Shillong, and that was possible because the home provided us with enough space and facilities we could ask for. Dad loved the early morning sunlight on the terrace and did his exercises there. Kids loved the space inside and outside and played their hearts out. Kitchen and washing machine made our lives so much easier. Marc's caretaker was available to help us out with whatever we needed. The property is very old (traditional Assam cottage), and hence requires a slightly better maintenance. There are tiny bits all over the place that need some attention, but I suppose that a renovation is already in plan. Thanks for helping me create new memories with my kids!

I had booked Junu aunty's place for my parents and they had a very pleasant stay. They felt right at home. The place is beautifully kept and decorated, exactly as shown in the pictures. The bed linens, rooms and bathroom were squeaky clean and well maintained. The kitchen had all the necessary items. Both aunty and uncle were very sweet and helpful. Would 10/10 recommend.

It’s a nice pla; my family had a great time. Joydip’s mother was very responsive. Dakshineswar Kali Temple and Belur Math are the closest attractions. Uber services are available, and the nearest metro station is Dakshineswar.

We had a very nice stay at the apartment. Since the location was bit inside, the host had provided a very clear instruction on how to reach the place. The caretaker was also helpful and responsive with quick support as and when needed. Overall a very good experience

If you’re looking for a remote getaway that offers privacy and the charm of village and farm living, this is the perfect place. My friends and I absolutely loved our stay here. The property is beautifully maintained, and the hospitality provided by the host and their family was exceptional. From the homemade, organic food to the locally crafted liquor, everything was delicious and healthy. The barbecue prepared by the host was a highlight—absolutely “yum yum”! They also went above and beyond to assist us with local sightseeing, making our experience even more memorable. A special mention goes to the host’s sweet grandmother, their lovely niece Neema, and their adorable dog Snoopy, who added so much warmth and joy to our stay. Thank you, Dwakapa, for an unforgettable experience in Yuksom. We’d love to visit again someday!

Wonderful host , I felt very comfortable inspite of the fact this being my first visit to the country. Would like to stay there again on my next visit. Mrs.Moni is really a very sweet lady and very helpful. The place itself is comfy and spacious.

This is my second stay in this cozy, clean, and lovely apartment. Like before, I absolutely loved every thing about my stay. Rajasree is a gem of a human being and is mindful of all details. She served me freshly-made breakfast every day and also, though this was not a part of my stay, treated me to a delicious homecooked Bengali lunch, seasonal treats, and mutton biryani for dinner. The room is immaculate and met all my needs. As a single traveller, I felt safe and cared for. I definitely plan to return.

Very nice place near by unitary dhanmondi also coffeehut has the best drink I had in dhaka.Owner is a very kind people. pls always remember turn off AC water heater and close door.

Sonu is a superhost. Her crew members are always available to help. We stayed at the property for about 3 weeks and it was an absolute hassle-free experience. Anything we needed, it was just a phone call away. They have a kitchen onsite with a variety of menu to choose from including authentic Bengali food. We hosted a party at the property banquet hall; guests were very happy with the arrangement Sonu did and the praise for the food was exemplary. The location is very convenient for commuting to airport and the popular shopping places in Kolkata. We surely want to stay at this place next time we visit Kolkata.

The stay was absolutely amazing, the place was clean and exactly as shown in the photos on Airbnb. But the highlight of our experience was Catherine. She was incredibly kind, proactive, and always quick to respond. She truly took care of us like family and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Very clean place with a wonderful host. I opted to get food from the host and it’s tasty and clean.

If you're someone who loves solitude but yet homely and loved, you'll love Michelle’s place. Located in a lovely and quiet surrounding, it was such a great retreat for us (we are from Delhi). People are extremely sweet and courteous especially the caretaker Ranjeet and the housekeeper. Would love to book the space again when traveling to Gangtok. Would also love to recommend the space to all near and dear ones, for sure.

Bibi is a gracious host whose place is spotless and welcoming. The room is accessed through a separate staircase, so it is private, with a tiny verandah facing the beautiful garden. Bibi is very kind and helpful, allowing for a late check out for me and also taking a parcel for me. The complimentary breakfasts she serves are lovely as well. Couldn’t have asked for a better location. It was in a quiet lane off the main zoo road with lots of cafés and shops on the main road.

The property is beautiful and rooms are well planned and clean . we stayed in attic and had the best view of kalimpong. overall a beautiful property and nice people

Highly recommended. The location is right next to park street with all the iconic restaurants and key tourist spots being ten minutes away. Mehul was a great host and the stay was also very comfortable and flexible. Will definitely stay here next time.

It was a very pleasant stay at Mr. Subodh's place. The rooms were clean and tidy. The little garden outside was fun to hang out with friends in. Mr. Subodh was very friendly and helped with so many things. We even struck up a few conversations here and there. Great place and a great host.

A private room in Saptorishis and Shubha’s home. Warm and welcoming hosts that were very helpful, thoughtful and kind. Simple but spacious and sufficient room, a very decent walkable lake park nearby and easily reachable location by cab. Excellent for long stays. Their pets Bolt and a kitten are super fun and loving and my wife being a Vet had a lovely time with them. Salt Lake City is 2-3 kms away by cab and has a lot of the urban eateries and shopping available. ‘Home’stay in its truest sense!

My stay here was absolutely fantastic and exceeded all expectations, especially given the price. Rabi da, the caretaker, was always available and incredibly helpful. The breakfast was exceptional, and the rooftop common area, beautifully decorated and serene. I stayed solo for three days, thoroughly enjoyed exploring the city, and felt completely at home throughout.

They were super cooperative and helpful, arranging bikes and cabs for us to explore the beautiful city. The food they served was absolutely delicious - it truly felt like home away from home! hospitality and warmth made our stay unforgettable.
