Historic cocoa farm in southern Bahia, municipality of Ilhéus on the banks of the Almada River and close to the village of Castelo Novo. To get to the place, please follow the recommendations made here. Head towards Uruçuca on the Ilhéus/Uruçuca Highway, until km 18. Upon reaching this mileage, you will see the dirt road on the right and the wooden sign for Fazenda Almada. Enter this road and go straight for 3 kilometers until you see the gate of Fazenda Almada. Welcome to Sítio Porto Taigun, a spacious, quiet property in nature and with a unique history, on the banks of the João de Tiba River in Santo André, Bahia. Our property, one of the oldest in the village, is named after the sailboat that brought the couple Jürgen and Ana Lúcia to the then small village of Santo André in the early 1980s. This special place was carefully selected to become both the couple's new home and a port for the vessel. Hence the name: Porto Taigun.
