This was my family's second time staying at this amazing country home. The hospitality is just amazing and it is just such a nice way to get away from city life. We will be back again!

What a gorgeous location and fantastic host! We were 5 adults, one 5 year old and one teenager and had a very relaxing weekend . What we loved - Stunning views, beautiful A frame house with well kept rooms, fresh linen. Bonus - friendly dogs, lovely horses , amazing sunrise views. Room for slight improvement - carry sleeping masks if you sleep in, as the A frame window design makes it hard for the curtains to fully block out the morning sunrays. What was unbeatable - Wizzy is extremely responsive and helpful host. Something to try when you visit - Wizzy and John are incredible and they have a great horse riding training school - 4 of us had lessons and really enjoyed it. I chickened out after it rained a bit, but I guesse leaves something to do for the next trip! Overall quite happy and highly recommend.

The home matched the Airbnb description 100%. It’s a stand alone house with 2 private bedrooms and a bunk bed in the upstairs hallway. It’s very clean with a fully equipped and functional kitchen. Clean beddings & towels available. Home is in the same compound as the host’s parents home, and the compound is gated. Feels very safe. 2 dogs live in the compound. Both very friendly. The smaller one is usually always outside, but the German Shepherd is more of a guard dog as is out at night. If afraid of dogs, host is flexible with putting them away as needed. WiFi is available. Noise pollution in the neighborhood is low. The hosts are responsive, thoughtful, kind and friendly. The recommended driver, Ernest, is excellent. Always timely and very knowledgeable of surrounding areas. Was able to drive me to Ol Pajeta conservatory and Aberdares mountain ranges (both places I would highly recommend to tour). His charges are also fair. I had an exceptional experience overall! 11/10 recommend!

Marion's place is amazing. It is well kept amd clean. In a serene area, with a beautiful view of Mt. Kenya. Maina the caretaker was wonderful and very responsive to our inquiries. I would definitely recommend. thank you so much.

We found Petra`s place as we left it a few years ago, very friendly and welcoming to a mix of guests from around the world. Petra is an excellent host who keeps track of everyone`s needs and shows genuine interest. The different rooms and cottages are very nice and cosy. We enjoyed the food and hospitality. We would love to come again .

Our stay at Peter's place was absolutely wonderful! The property offered a perfect blend of comfort and security, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The spacious layout provided plenty of room to relax, and the beds were incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. We also appreciated the convenient access to town, which made exploring the local area a breeze. Peter's thoughtful touches and attention to detail truly enhanced our experience. We would highly recommend this Airbnb to anyone looking for a cozy, well-located home.

Overall this is a very nice place. It was a little hard to find, especially at night as Google maps does not provide the correct directions. There is a gate for security purposes but you have to call and request for it to opened whenever you want to come or go. The apartment is very clean and nice with two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and one full. Elizabeth is next door and available if you need anything.

Thank you for a lovely stay. The Shepherds huts are beautiful on the inside and so comfortable. The restaurant onsite is great. Highly recommend.

Quiet place , was bummed out there was no nearby shop

We had a truly wonderful stay at Sally’s place. Right from the beginning, her communication was excellent—clear, timely, and very helpful both before our arrival and throughout our stay. We had requested an early check-in, and she was kind enough to accommodate our request, which made our travel experience much smoother. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed with delicious muffins and soft drinks—a thoughtful gesture that immediately reflected her warmth and hospitality. The home itself is even more beautiful than the photos suggest. Nestled in a peaceful and secure location, it offers everything you might need and more. The swimming pool and gym were a delightful bonus—well-maintained and easily accessible. The staff were polite, efficient, and added to the overall positive experience. A special mention goes to her two adorable puppies, Zoro and Maya, whose playful presence we loved. we thoroughly enjoyed every moment and would not hesitate to return. Highly recommended

Beautiful surroundings and private location. Access road is a little rough but that's what I expected for a remote location. Views of Mount Kenya from the balcony. Generous sized rooms and nice layout

Heated swimming pool was great. Very spacious house. Beautiful and clear view of the much loved Mount Kenya. Comfortable beds with extra blankets for the cold nanyuki weather. A few issues with cleanliness of the kitchen but overall a great place if you dont mind loud music. Would recommend to anyone having a party or gathering.

Five star review for a five star property. This beautiful little cottage nestled amidst beautiful grounds in the rolling hills of Nanyuki was exactly what we needed for our weekend trip up from Nairobi. It's a perfect distance from the lovely restaurants of Nanyuki and we enjoyed the proximity to Ol Pejeta, a 45 minute drive away so easy to get some morning game drives in. Betty was so helpful to us when our dog got covered in ticks on one of our dog walks, bringing tick shampoo, towels and a basin to wash him in and checking in to make sure we had everything we need. Fantastic place. If you bring a dog do ensure it's well covered for ticks/fleas particularly in the rainy season.

amazing host, enjoyed my stay there

Aquawood Cabins is an excellent getaway for anyone looking to connect with nature. The location is easily accessible, and the nearby river and tea plantations create a peaceful, scenic atmosphere that makes it easy to unwind. Doreen is friendly and always available, making sure you have everything you need. It's a beautiful space, offering a relaxed stay besides many activities to engage in. I highly recommended for a serene and rejuvenating stay.

Zilpers place is wonderful, there's enough parking, the place is secure and serene. (Actually you can see mt kenya from the house), Zilper is also a wonderful host i must say. She is welcoming qs well. The house is clean with everything that you need.

We had a wonderful stay at the home. Wafula the groundsman and Joyce the chef we had were absolutely fantastic. The house is beautiful. The views were fantastic and our best part of the day was evenings by the fireplace and long walks around the area.

I was in search of a quiet, peaceful place, and I found that at Joy's place. I love how we easily accessed Nanyuki from her place, and the recommendations she had for us -- especially a visit to the Ol Pejeta Conservancy. She was super responsive, and such a great host. We loved it, and will most certainly be back!!!

Robin's place is the place to be. We were two couples and our children. It was raining but were able to access the house without any problem with ordinary cars. The house is simple and smart, warm and well done, very very clean. All the facilities listed are available. Our children enjoyed the pool table. Robin was very responsive and kept checking on us. The caretaker Mr. Wachira was a great man. He is humble, good listener, obedient, and could offer alternatives. He sourced for us a huge chicken on short notice which we enjoyed. It was chilly outside but the house was very warm plus is had a room heater that made it even more warm. Robin also guided us on the areas to visit and he further linked us with his friend at Olpajeta who was of great assistance to us especially with the rainy weather and impassable roads to the conservancy.
