House holiday rentals in Oban

Andy’s house is fantastic for a celebration weekend. Twelve of us stayed there comfortably and there is so much public space that it’s easy to do different things yet assemble for meals. The view from the conservatory and garden is stunning. We had one person in a wheelchair and the house worked well for him too. Andy and Joan were welcoming and helpful.

Recently visited Pleasant Hill for Hen Weekend. We had previously been let down by another house and Chris was extremely helpful and reassuring. 17 of us stayed for the weekend and the house was perfect for what we needed it for. Chris was in constant contact with me, gave plenty of recommendations for local amenities and attractions and was flexible on check in and check out times. For such a large party, buying food was a concern of mines but he suggested we do an online shop beforehand and offered to collect it and put it away for us before we arrived. This really was a massive help and greatly appreciated, it was one less worry and concern I had in the run up to the weekend. Our bride and all guests had a fantastic weekend. Thank you!

Host was very friendly with very good communication throughout. On arrival the host made it very easy to get into the lodge and came in and explained all amenities on site and was very polite. Overall, throughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend and return.

We had a lovely long weekend at Tarken House. The views are beautiful. The house is spacious, well stocked and easily accommodated the 10 of us, all adults. House was lovely and warm and very clean. Beds are very comfortable and good size en-suites. Jonathon was very quick to respond to any queries we had. Would highly recommend Tarken House and definitely be back again.

Amazing homely cottage in a nice private location. This was our last night of rest post-NC500. A shame we only stayed a night, could easily have done a few more and really explored the amenities in the village. Nonetheless a fantastic stay, very comfortable and friendly hosts.

We loved the house and Drymen. The added bonus of the use of the pool, sauna and jacuzzi was brilliant. The house was comfortable and homely. Drymen was a lovely little village with lovely pubs, cafes and walks. Along the road there was a beautiful view out over Loch Lomond. I would really recommend. Jim was super helpful and let us in a little bit early, thank you so much.

The park itself is a 1 way system and the caravan was quite high up. However we stopped to speak to groundsmen on site who straight away said follow me I’ll take you to the caravan. All staff were lovely. The caravan was as described. Very homely and modern. The outdoor space is amazing with lovely rattan furniture and hot tub. We used the hot tub everyday and it’s big enough for 6 people. The weather unfortunately wasn’t on our side all week so we didn’t dine outside. However I would definitely return. We had a slight issue with heating the first night. Lisa was back and forth messaging and said she would contact staff at reception to rectify the next day. However this was sorted over text in the end. An amazing stay, great views across the water. It was beautiful x

Lovely home within a short walk of Oban which was fantastic. Lewis was very helpful and provided numerous amounts of amenities for the accommodation. Would recommend staying again.

As an extremely picky traveler, I HIGHLY recommend The Cheese Loft. The pictures simply do not do it justice. The location is absolutely perfect for exploring the area, it’s clean & quiet, Ewan and Leslie could not be more friendly and accommodating, and their 2 dogs and cat are the sweetest pets ever. To top it all off, Dunnad Fort is literally next door, offering stunning 360 views of the landscape. I felt at home and didn’t want to leave. Fresh eggs from their chickens was an added bonus!

We really enjoyed the amazing views of Oban waterfront from Miriam’s cottage. It has a great deck to relax on as well as being comfortable and warm inside. The parking was easy out the front of the cottage although, be warned, the stairs are steep up to the house but worth it for the view!

Convenient location right on the A82. Beautiful view of the lake across the street and some cute horses and goats in the pasture behind the house. House interior is renovated and modern with all the amenities. Reasonably priced. Host responds quickly to messages. Central tourist location. In 3 days we toured Ben Nevis distillery and mountain gondola, scenic drive to Glenfinnan Harry Potter viaduct train and Mallaig for local seafood and finally drove to Loch Ness Centre museum and Jacobite lake cruise. Fabulous holiday.

This was a great holiday for us. The house was everything we expected. The views and the weather wonderful. It is remote as described. We didn't have a car as holiday makers can't take a car to the island but used bikes (one brought with us, one hired on Eigg) to get about and collect extra shopping. It was a haven for walkers. Peaceful, quiet, spectacular scenery, wonderful wild flowers and birds including eagles.

Our stay was fantastic, especially given that we booked last minute after another place fell through. The host was incredibly responsive, making sure everything was ready for us. The real highlight was the breathtaking view overlooking the water, with mountains in the distance – truly picturesque! The house itself was spacious and ideal for our group, nestled in a private, peaceful spot that felt like a true retreat. The kids had a great time with the nearby beach just a few minutes’ walk away, and they loved exploring the vast open land surrounding the property. Another great part was the location – it’s about a 15 minute drive to Oban, a lovely town with plenty to do. It gave us the perfect balance of seclusion and easy access to town activities. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking to enjoy both tranquillity and the option of nearby excursions!

We had a lovely stay, making the most of the fantastic area despite the changeable weather! Thank you Victoria and Ewan for providing such a comfortable place for us to stay. It was immaculate and just as described. The bed and shower were top notch! It was lovely to arrive and find home-made bread, which was delicious, and it was helpful to have the other basic essentials provided. Everything we needed for our short stay.

We love The Granary - I think this is the third time we’ve stayed there. There is plenty of space for a family of 4 but it also manages to feel cosy. The two bathrooms are a great bonus! We are lucky to have family on Seil, highlights of our trip this year included a mobile sauna at the village hall and a Seafari Trip to the Corryvreckan whirpool.

You absolutely have to choose Claire’s place! Beautiful house with breathtaking views from the bedroom and lounge. Very responsive, helpful & generous. Beautiful town and easily accessible from the accommodation. Super comfortable beds & very spacious house throughout: bedrooms, lounge, bathroom & kitchen. When we come back to Scotland from Australia we will make the trip back to Claire’s!

Lovely peaceful location, stunning views. Enclosed garden, perfect for the doggies. Calmac ferry close by for a trip to Mull. We did a a trip to Sanna Beach, with amazing view of the small isles. Nice walks around the estate, friendly and welcoming staff in the farm and gift shop. Keepers cottage is a wonderful, comfortable, well equipped place to stay. 100% would love to stay here again.

Melanie’s place was a beautiful place to stay! My family and I felt right at home. The place was very clean, organized and comfortable. I would highly recommend staying here.

This was such a nice place to stay to explore Oban. The rooms were lovely and the kitchen was fantastic! Parking was easy. The “city” view was nice as well. I appreciated the notebook left by the host with helpful information and local suggestions. The host was responsive to all of my questions and took great care to guide you to the location of the home. We had no issues at all during our stay.

Perfect, peaceful location with amazing views of the the loch. Beautiful lodge would definitely return.

Home Farm Oban actually feels like a home away from home. As soon as you enter the cosy house it feels like a warm hug - it‘s the perfect place to relax, enjoy nature, recharge your batteries and spend quality time with family and friends. Paul is a fantastic host, always there when you need him, but never intrusive - everyone enjoyed chatting with him. The house is spotless, it has high quality amenities and we loved all the personal touches. It‘s the best AirBnB we‘ve ever stayed at and we‘ll definitely be back!

A truly royal vacation 8 of us just enjoyed a great time in this magical place. I am wheelchair bound so it was great being on one level. The accessible shower was also great. The place is just like the pictures. Very beautiful. We were blessed with good weather a few days we were there and a number of our party braved the loch. It was an experience and quite cold but worth it. It’s very remote and you have to travel about 2 miles on a bumpy dirt track to get to the house, but it’s part of the appeal. The views are just awesome. From the house there are trails and you can hike up high hills. If not high enough Ben Nevis is a drive away and some of us I did the climb. Overall a memorable holiday and we would love to come again.

I cannot recommend this lovely home enough! It’s beyond spacious, beautiful and clean! We had the most amazing time staying here and would love to come back again! The host was extremely helpful and we loved everything about our stay and can’t wait to visit Oban again!
