Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Obwalden

We had a wonderful stay at the cottage, definitely would recommend and visit again. The house was really well equipped, located in a beautiful area surrounded by mountains.

Bel maison de caractère avec une vue exceptionnelle et complète il ne manque rien ! Après une belle rando, la piscine est un plus. Les hôtes et leurs parents sont très sympathiques et de bons conseils. Vives recommandations et au plaisir de revenir dans cette belle région.

We loved our stay here. Perfect for our family. The location for us was ideal. Picturesque, all that we imagined Switzerland to be. The views every morning every evening are amazing. I am sure it is amazing during winter time as well. For us it was perfect and truth be told well beyond our expectation. Waterfalls mountain views, evening cow bells..what more could we want...and connectivity with trains and buses right out the front door 😍😍 we plan to come back with our second daughter. We experienced sunshine, and rainy weather, both had their own vibe in this chalet. Please know that it is away from busy hustle bustle, but if you crave that Brienze is like 7 miles drive (or you could take the bus) and any location is a train journey away! Spectacular and absolutely amazing hosts, In Spite of having researched our visit I believe I had a lot of questions 😜😜 our host was very quick with responses that were full of insights. Loved our stay.

We had a wonderful 5 days at this beautiful cabin. The name is perfect. Heimeli. Very cozy, we felt right at home. The valley is spectacular. The ski area close. U. Is great for hiking and exploring in the summer. Matthes is a great host, very friendly and helpful. We‘ll be back!

Sehr nette,freundliche ,unkomplizierte Gadtgeberin. Das schöne alte Häuschen ist mit Garten und Seesicht ein Traum! Das Strandbad, ein grosser Spielplatz,Bhf.sind in der Nähe und super zu Fuss erreichbar. Es ist alles sehr heimelig eingerichtet&sauber. Es hat alles vor Ort, u.a. Grill,Holz, Sups, ist auch kindergerecht ausgestattet. Wir waren begeistert und werden def. wieder einmal gehen!

We enjoyed a lovely & peaceful long weekend at Daniel and Erica's chalet. It's the perfect, accessible place for those who live in Zurich and want to get far away ... without going far away! Highlights were the gorgeous garden and al fresco dining on the sunny days, fireplace on a rainy evening, and close proximity to stunning forest. Lots of great hiking options at your doorstep. Daniel and Erica take excellent care of the house and their guests, A-Z, and you won't be left wanting for anything. We can especially recommend staying here if you're bringing your pup with you. Our dog was in heaven.

Wunderschönes Chalet quasi direkt an der Piste auf der Frutt. Sehr geräumig mit genügend Platz für die Winterausrüstung, vollausgestattete Küche und sogar viele Spielsachen für Kinder. Sehr empfehlenswert für Familien!

First of all - Claudia was communicating always directly. All pictures and instructions sent have been easy to understand. The house is a super nice location to relax immediatly. But the way up you should not plan to often go. It is really UP the mountain, to buy your stuff in the village. Be careful with the steps outside to the teracce. They have a strange format and you should not hurt yourselves. And if you use the bedrooms upstars, you should have normal abiltiy to climb the steep stairs and also your luggage should not be too big. But - as said - a great location to be!!! Real Swiss!!

We had a really great stay, beautiful view, great host, super friendly and helpful, works highly recommend!

Ronald was a kind host, his place was cozy and clean, he provided most of the things needed, like garbbage bags, towels, toilet rolls, salt and pepper, olive oil, and all cooking tools. the place was 10 minutes walk from brienz train station and we visited interlaken and grindelwald from there. there is also a cosy nice restaurant 10 minutes walk from the brienz train station, just keep the lake on your left hand & walk straight. thanks Ronald

This apartment is in a beautiful neighborhood with the lake being just a minute away! The apartment itself is clean and easy to find. I really appreciated that it’s on the ground floor so I could bring my luggage in with no trouble. The backyard is really beautiful too and opens up to a view of the village and green hills.

Excellent location right across the street from Brunni. Would be perfect for families with kids learning to ski. The kitchen is well stocked with cookware and utensils, and very clean. The only things that we found less than prefect were 1) sound insulation in the building was not very good. The first night, we encountered unit upstairs partying till after 2am and we could hear the yelling and music well. Lucky for us, it didn't happen again, and the host told us that they would complain to the other unit's owner if it recurs. 2) rooms run hotter than the thermostat set points. The thermostat was set to 20 when we arrived, room were at 23. We subsequently lower them to 18C, but bedrooms were still 22-23. 3) My wife and I find the mattresses soft for our personal taste. We would be happy to stay here again. I only wish I had returned the kitchen to its pristine state in our rush to the airport after my wife suffered a leg fracture skiing.

Unser Aufenthalt bei Nora war ausgeteichnet. Die Wohnung hält was sie auf den Bildern verspricht. Nora ist äusserst freundlich und hat uns vorab mit allen nötigen Informationen zur Wohnung und deren Benutzung ausgestattet. Die Wohnung ist mit viel Liebe dekoriert, sodass man sich sofort wohl gefühlt hat. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Wonderful Stay at Markus's place. Cozy apartment with all the modern amenities. Amazing view from the windows and front porch of the lake and mountains. The place itself a retreat to our swiss vacation. Glitters on gold is proximity to the train station and connectivity is superb. We really loved our 1 week stay at this place. Highly recommended from our side. If you are a nature lover and want to spend quality time in the lap of mother nature, this is the right place for you. Thanks Markus and Karin for maintaining this awesome property !!

We highly recommend Esther's and Beat's holiday apartment! It's exactly as in the pictures, and the location is great - right at the cable car station, with a free bus connecting it to the village. The host is really nice and responsive. We had everything we needed and more :) There are also some toys available that our toddler appreciated.

Ich war zusammen mit zwei Freunden bei Pius und Nadine zu Gast und wir haben uns gleich wie zuhause gefühlt. Die Wohnung im Dachgeschoss ist wunderbar ruhig und man hat eine malerische Aussicht von dort. Die Landschaft ist traumhaft schön und eignet sich wunderbar für kurze oder lange Wanderungen. Hierfür gibt es eine große Auswahl an Karten in der Wohnung und Pius und Nadine können ebenfalls hilfreiche Tipps geben. Mit dem Schiff kann man bequem nach Luzern fahren, sehr zu empfehlen. Alles in allem ein fantastischer Aufenthalt. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder! :)

Wir waren schon zum zweiten mal Gast in dieser wunderschönen Alpenhütte und das sagt wahrscheinlich schon alles! :) Unser erster Aufenthalt in der Vorweihnachtszeit 2023 hätte mit frischem Neuschnee kaum schöner sein können. Auch diesmal Anfang März hatten wir traumhaftes Wetter - noch etwas Schnee, jeden Tag Sonnenschein und blauen Himmel - da können wir uns kaum einen erholsameren Ort als Cortinella vorstellen. Das Alpenpanorama in der Ruhe der Natur und natürlich der Hot Tub sind die Highlights in diesem Urlaubsparadies, wo es uns an nichts gefehlt hat - außer vielleicht genügend Urlaubstagen ;-) Hoffentlich kommen wir bald wieder!

Celine was a great host, among other things she stayed up late when we had train delays to ensure we got checked in okay and she could show us around. Area is beautiful and easy bus links to anywhere you need to go, the guest passes you can get are useful to use. The shared spaces were always pretty clean and tidy. Great place to stay if you want somewhere more private and out of the town centre.

Wir haben uns sofort wohl gefühlt. Marcel hat uns schon vor der Reise mit Informationen gut versorgt und war bei Fragen auch während des Aufenthalts immer erreichbar. Er ist wirklich ein guter, freundlicher und unkomplizierter Gastgeber. Die Wohnung ist wie auch beschrieben sehr schön und ruhig und bietet einen tollen Ausblick auf die Berge. Oberiberg ist ein freundlicher, eher familiärer Ort mit einigen typisch schweizerischen Gasthäusern. Im Winter bietet die Gegend auch für Nicht-Skifahrer wie uns ausreichend Freizeitmöglickeiten. Wir haben einen sehr schönen Urlaub erlebt und haben nichts vermisst.

The house was exactly what we were looking for, a fully equipped house, in the middle of the mountains. The communication with Roman was easy and fast. We walked to Engelberg pretty much everyday, it is an easy and beautiful path next to the river. We spend one week in Switzerland every year, every-time in a different location, but after these days, we wouldn’t mind coming back next year.
