Holiday rentals with lake access in Oceania

What a beautiful little slice of the yarra valley. The heating was very efficient, it was icy overnight and we had no idea. We woke to kangaroos outside the window each morning. The caretakers lodge was much closer to the accommodation than I expected, however they were very helpful and friendly and I didn't see them apart from when I checked in. The house is stunning. The view from the huge windows is lovely. It felt very luxurious and was a lovely place to stay after getting married. I would absolutely recommend Kangaroo Manor to others, and I'd love the opportunity to stay there again one day. The hosts were very proactive, kind, and professional, and gave me the impression that I could contact them at any time. Thank you for a very memorable experience.

We had the most wonderful stay at Nigel and Denise’s place. The views were absolutely breathtaking – waking up to the ever-changing water and skies was pure magic. The house was thoughtfully designed, immaculately clean, and incredibly comfortable. We especially loved the cozy living areas, and the luxurious bathrooms with spectacular views. Everything was exactly as described – or even better! Thank you for creating such a peaceful and beautiful retreat. It was the perfect base for our Tasmanian adventure. We would absolutely love to return someday!

The Glasshouse is a amazing place to getaway and have peace and quiet. 45 minutes from Sydney. 10 minutes by boat to the marina for morning coffee. I have stayed all round the World in Air BnB's and George is the best host ever, Patrick and Liam are your contacts on the river and live locally, nothing is ever a problem. Highly recommended.

The Post Office is such a special stay - beautifully put together and in a great location not far from all there is to see at Cradle Mountain. We stayed in the chill of a Tassie winter and felt warm and cosy the entire time. It’s got everything you need and the kitchen’s an absolute joy to cook in. Madeleine and Andy were responsive and laid out everything you need to know for a comfortable stay well ahead of time. I’d recommend it to anyone interested in basing themselves within the remote north west.

Absolutely stunning!!! From stepping into this beautiful space we were welcomed to peaceful music and a warm space to invite us in. We were in awe of the view and spent most of the afternoon sitting with a cuppa and looking out. The beds were very comfortable and warm and the shower was also excellent. Would definitely stay again and would highly recommend to anyone.

A lovely house to base yourself in Central Otago. Spotless and spacious and very toasty warm in the colder weather. Keiran was easy to communicate with and helpful operating instructions for the appliances were on hand. Plenty of room and although not required by us was good to see a cot and highchair for those with small families.

Is this little slice of paradise had to be summed up in one word.. it would be Stunning. Stu has gone above and beyond to create an aesthetically pleasing yet warm space, thoughtfully decorated and appointed. Get ready to leave your stay rejuvenated and relaxed!

Great location with fantastic views, perfect to sit, relax and unwind. Fully appointed kitchen to prepare your own meals, or lots of great options nearby to eat out. Easy walk to the shops, supermarket, Sunday markets, riverfront, beaches, restaurants and cafes. Had a great stay. Thanks Mark and Emma.

The best Airbnb stay we have had to date! Such a beautiful property right on the lake with water views. The property has access to the Queenstown trail that takes you directly to Queenstown and connects to many other beautiful trails that you can walk/bike. The property is exactly as described but the photos do not do it justice - we will definitely be back!

Sarah’s place is a good find. Conveniently located near downtown Melbourne. She was very responsive. Incredible views of downtown Melbourne from her place. You have to pick up the key from a local grocery store (which worked fine) and there is only one key, but overall the stay was great. Excellent swimming pool and gym. Recommend staying here! Good value!

It is highly recommended for people who come to Queenstown and don't like the noise of the city. It is also relatively close to Glenorchy for horse riding. I look forward to having the opportunity to experience it again!

the place was exceptional! Ray was so friendly, kind and quick to respond. even with the last-minute request, we were allowed to check in earlier which was super helpful. 120% recommended!

We had a wonderful, relaxing stay at the cottage. It was so cosy and everything had been thought of - comfortable bed, skylight for stargazing, outdoor bath and even slippers. We appreciated all the baby items that were set up and the toys and books. It’s in a great location and a short drive to so many great walks and scenic spots. We stayed at Caitlin & Michael’s cabin for our honeymoon and absolutely loved it. The space was comfortable and well laid out, with a cosy bedroom, large luxurious bathroom, and a kitchen and living area that felt like home. The wood fire was a real highlight and we appreciated the generous supply of firewood, kindling, and matches. Their local food recommendations were incredible—we followed every one and had no regrets. We also enjoyed cooking in the well-equipped kitchen and using the BBQ. The peaceful location was stunning, with no nearby noise and beautiful local wildlife all around. Whether it was sunny or rainy, the cabin was the perfect place to relax and unwind. We’re already planning to return. Thank you, Caitlin & Michael, for an unforgettable stay!

If you are looking for a little getaway that is close to both Sydney or Canberra, this is the place for you! This little cottage is absolutely stunning. It is very modern inside, with a beautiful wood fire to keep you warm while you look out over Lake Conjola as the sun sets. With less than a 2 minute walk, you can head down to a little jetty where you can sit in the sun and watch the local wildlife or just enjoy the beautiful surrounds. The cottage is on the same property as the main residence, but it is very private. I definitely recommend this little peace of paradise, and would be only to happy to book in again soon!

Bombah Point Eco Cottages were everything we hoped it would be. Beautiful, peaceful, comfortable... We had such a lovely stay. Wandered the orchard. Enjoyed freshly laid eggs for breakfast. Sliced ruby grapefruit from the tree into our gin cocktails. LOVE. LOVE. LOVE. Thank you for having us.

Lovely cottage, set in spectacular gardens - with lake, dingy & ducks ! We just missed the full bloom of autumn leaves by a week, but still beautiful. As expected for June, it was a tad cold while we were there, but we certainly didn't lack for heating options, our favourite being the pot belly wood heater. Patty was a charming host who even took the time to bake us some orange syrup cakes - delicious ! All less than 20mins drive from all the shops & restaurants at Bowral for those who crave a bit more action. We'd love to come back.

One of the most spectacular Airbnb's we have ever stayed at. The view is sensational and it is a lovely, peaceful setting. The Airbnb itself was modern, comfy and clean. It was well appointed with a full kitchen and well stocked supplies. Bedrooms were comfy and there were modern, clean bathrooms. Te Anau is a great place to stay as a base for trips to Milford or Doubtful Sound. Black's Hut is around a 30 minute walk to the town centre, slightly longer if you take the very scenic route along the lake edge. There are no busses or taxis. All and all it was a fantastic stay and comes highly recommended.

We came to celebrate our anniversary and that we did, thank you so much to our host to wake up every morning and see a canvas of artwork in front of thru creation which was unmatched and peaceful.The boathouse is very clean and added to our wishes so much to our delightful time . We didn’t do much but enjoyed the nautical effect . Thank you so much to sandra and collin. Thoroughly recommended to anyone wanting to be on a cruise without being on a cruise..♥️♥️
