Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Pococí

My stay was excellent. Everything was very clean, the location is ideal and safe, with easy access to everything. The neighborhood is very quiet, perfect for rest. Communication with the host was always quick and clear. I would definitely recommend and stay here again.

If you are expecting a 5 star hotel do not go here. If you are expecting an experience, amazing food, no AC, cold showers, no iron or hair dryer and an amazing rural farm experience that you will never forget then this is the place to go. Extremely good, honest, hard working people. They feed you almost everything they grow or raise and give you the same food they eat or feed their kids. Mary Luz is an amazing person and a great cook. Plenty of other options available in the area to get a farm experience but if you also want a foodie experience then this place is it. As everyone has said rough roads but we had a good suv and got there in 20 minutes after we turned off highway 32. For some people it may take 45 minutes. Expect to get woken up with birds and roosters making a racket around 5:30 am.

We had an exceptional two-night stay with my family (with my wife and our three daughters). This is probably one of our best Airbnb Experiences! The place, a little away from the classic tourist circuits, is a real gem. You discover beautiful nature: a lush forest, a beautiful waterfall, superb animals and very good restaurants nearby. The location is also ideal for those who want to reach Tortuguero or Cahuita easily. Meals and breakfast are excellent, made with care and taste. A real plus! A huge thank you to Laura, who is an extremely attentive, warm and available host. It was a real pleasure. We recommend this place without a second thought!

Great stay in Tortuguero in Edward's accommodation. We even shared a meal with our very welcoming hosts. I recommend it!

I was stolen from my backpack in the bus on the way from San José. Janette helped me a lot to find my way around and had a lot of understanding because I had to leave the next day right away because of it. I even got my money back and only paid for the one night. In the evening when I arrived, Janette and her family even cooked me dinner. The next time I go to Tortuguero, I'd be happy to stay with Janette again. But this time I better take care of my backpack:)

Heidy's place is a perfectly located, cosy spot from which to explore Tortuguero, relax and go to the beach. Less than five minutes walk to centre of town and boat drop off and pick up place, at one end of the street and beach at the other. It is also very quiet and private, we enjoyed using the patio for quiet meals or drinks. The beach is beautiful and their was a sloth one night in a coconut tree on the beach. Heidy had arranged for us to be met when we stepped off the boat and a local guide showed us to the flat. Heidy was always super responsive and helpful whenever we had a question. Please note there is no air-conditioning or hot water in the shower, but that didn't bother us, the fan kept us cool at night. I would love to come back to Tortuguero and hope to stay at Heidy's again.

Very nice host, he showed us another small waterfall and went swimming with us. Very good location right by the river with jungle vibes. There was nothing missing in amenities.

It was an exelente experience ,Fabiola was very cortez and flexible with check-in and check-out , the accommodation impeccable and very comfortable .

The place is so described, only they no longer have the fishing space available, otherwise everything is as seen in the photos, the place is private, it was organized and clean. The host is very nice and thoughtful of what one needs.

Casa Amapola is a beautiful house in a fabulous setting, with open views over the rainforest and down to the Caribbean Sea. It is spacious and well-equipped and you could easily sit on the veranda for days on end just enjoying the view and the wildlife around you. There is a bumpy track up to the Estate and then down to the property, but this is in relatively good condition for Costa Rican gravel tracks and is driveable with 2WD. The nearest town, Siquirres, is about 10km away and has a wide range of shops and restaurants. This is a beautiful place to stay if you want a quiet and peaceful experience of Caribbean Costa Rica and when they have finished upgrading the San Jose-Limon road then the coast will be easily accessible.

Beautiful very nice garden, close to Guapiles and Angelino. Convenient for visiting the eastern region of Costa Rica. We had a lovely stay at this house, there are cute cats and a dog.

We had an amazing experience. From the first moment, Esteban was very kind, attentive and quick to answer any questions. The place was spotless: clean, well equipped, and as shown in the photos, even better. The location was perfect in a quiet area. It is noticeable that the host cares about the details and about providing a comfortable and pleasant stay. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it 100%. I exceeded my expectations.

Too good vibes for a single place!

We stayed here for three nights in December. It was great experience. The house is on a river on a farm. You can only get there by boat. Here you will be taken from a parking lot (at small cafe and small shop). We drove the road to the parking lot in a high car and that went well. We didn't have a 4x4. It is recommended to bring groceries for all the days you are there. That easily suited the boat with luggage for 4 people. Groceries are best done in a large supermarket about an hour and fifteen minutes away. We had a wonderful time We walked around the farm for an afternoon, spotted frogs, iguanas and many birds. We also heard howler monkeys. We also (arranged by host) for a full day by boat to Torteguero. The way to it is at least as beautiful. A great experience! We have seen dozens of iguanas, crocodiles, caimans, turtles and birds.

Staff is friendly and help full. Clean and quiet area despite main road a few meters away. Convenient location if you have a car. Can be difficult to access entrance when there is traffic because of the one lane bridge. I stayed in July so there were a lot of bugs in the porch area, sometimes they come in if the door is not closed fast enough, but it's part of the CR nature. Bug spray helped keep them at bay.
